That’s why she needs these competitions. She seems to be able to hit everything in warm up and falls apart during the competition itself. She needs as much experience as possible to get ready for the olympics and to conquer her nerves.
Of course she hits her quads during the warm up then nearly fell apart during the free skate 😞 its stressful being a Trusobot. 😂❤️I want this to be HER season so bad!! Cmon Sasha!!
I just hope it'll get better as the season goes. In previous years Sasha's always performed great in the test skates and had the problem of peaking too early in the season so maybe hopefully failing now means succeeding later when it counts
Kamila and Sasha, both of whom I love, tend to be very nervous under the pressure. Anna and Alena, on the other hand, showing technically less during the rehearsals, can concentrate and make the competition their best skate. This keeps the intrigue and I think the one who wins her nerves will get it.
I think Valieva is by far the best skater, maybe the best female skater of all time, but if Trusova performs an Olympic badass program with 5 fearless quads, all merit to her. If any of the other two Tutberidze girls win, though... what a sad end of a season with all this potential.
@@QQ-wl6yt Valieva is overrated. She’s only part of this Olympic equation because she’s so young that the flawed Eteri Tutberidze technique hasn’t caught up with her yet and she can handle the brutal training because of her youth. Kostornaia, Scherbakova, and Trusova are all the most talented skaters to come out of Russia. They all have such different strengths and, against all odds, are still competing at the highest level.
Hopefully she’ll master her nerves this season. This was a pretty bad performance but she still scored 216+. It’s a strong score that will keep her in the top 4 or 5 but it’s beatable by several Russians and some of the Japanese and Americans as well. Jet lag isn’t the issue-she had no problem on the warmup. She’s always been a little jittery when it comes to competition. Maybe doing this early comp will get the nerves out so she can skate better on the GP next month.
It’s definitely nerves. Jet lag makes you tired-had it been jet lag she would have struggled in the warm up too but she didn’t. Nerves have always been her issue. Hopefully she’ll get past it this season…
Did you record the Korean girl who came 2nd? I haven’t seen any videos of her uploaded to RU-vid. Her scores caught me off guard because I’ve never heard of her before.
I think she just got tired. It’s morning time for her and just imagine she skipped her night sleep. But yeah, so clean during practice and then being last to skate didn’t help her unfortunately. She is still our favorite, no doubt here!
Do you really expext her to hit 5 quads and go clean, just a week after test skates, a long flight and possibly dealing with jet leg? It would've been more of a surprise if she nailed her jumps here. Practices, warmups vs competition are completely different too.
@@flywings111 the sad thing is as much as I like her , and how she goes for all the quads, this seems to be mental because it's been this way since 2019, in training and test skates or like Japan open she hits the quads and in the real competitions she can't land a clean 4 let alone 5 quad program m. They need to find a way to get around the mental barrier that she seems to have . I would really love to see land all the quads when she needs it
Just finished watching both programs definitely not her best her SP her skating was very slow and had a pretty hard time landing her jumps in LP and her spins are not nearly as fast as what she's capable of. 216 definitely on lower side for her. I'm sure she will get better as the season goes... will she land those 5 quads again? I guess we shall see.
It’s not a junior competition, there are novice, junior and senior categories. She’s obviously there to get some competition experience before the more serious Grand Prix events.
YESTERDAY AND AGAIN TODAY.......Thats for all the people saying she can beat Valieva, NO SHE CANT Last week TSL video i said the Eteris pyramid (i love it) was very wrong because Valieva was for me still the best bet for that OGM and was not even close, for many reason, BUT PEOPLE was saying, no you are wrong blah blah blah I said, Sasha is very nervy in real competitions, first i wanna see her skate clean that program in competitions, what i think ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN, today was the example
note even valieva lol, valieva has the exact same inconsistency issues if you look at her competitions ever since she entered seniors. She has crumbled due to nerves several times already even though she just hit seniors. the only who doesn't have these issues is Anna, and also maiia is a dark horse who also really seems to be pacing herself well to peak at Rusnats
@@Bella-po8vh Please stop, you like many people were sooo wrong about Sasha. Just be quiet, and take notes, Valieva is by far the best chance to win everything
@@vicserra2485 I just don't understand why Valieva is so destined to win the whole thing. Alena holds the short program world record and Sasha holds the free program world record. As of now, Valieva holds absolutely nothing and her junior scores don't come even close to said world records.... In addition, she's also not the consistent queen which is what you keep bitching about Sasha for.... Also, even though Valieva has the triple axel with the quads, she has the two lowest valued quads and the triple axel is the lowest valued ultra-C element. While Sasha has all 4 quads in addition to the triple axel which she's proven she has the ability to land. Although she hasn't landed it in competition, that doesn't change the fact that she has the capability to land it, which is more to say than Valieva with the quad flip or lutz. Also, you're such a hypocrite. "I want to see her skate clean in competition"... Well you haven't seen Valieva skate clean in competition either so what's with this sentiment. For hell, Valieva hasn't even skated once in senior competition... what a hypocrite.
@@funsies7147 It’s because she can rack up points with her 3A in qualifications, is capable of hitting both the short and the free, has youth on her side, and has the components to back it all up. She’s been groomed just for this moment. The rest not only have to overcome the arduous season ahead, they’re also battling years of demons they’ve built up competing as seniors. There’s a reason why so many young skaters end up winning Olympic gold over the veterans.
