First of all W music Second: someone who’s been at every team events during the qualifying period, and one of the reasons France actually managed to qualify shouldn’t be taken out for someone else, as without him France might’ve not even been top 4 let alone top 1 in the world This is one of the dumbest abuse of power I’ve seen and it’s sad how one if France’s top contributors to qualify doesn’t get to go after helping the team qualify Imagine waking up one day, thinking you’re going to the olympics because your team qualified after all your efforts only to learn that despite your work being enough, your federation doesn’t like you so someone else gets to go
@@logosao88 from what I heard (very briefly) there seems to be a problem with him and the coach I’m not very sure but I think that’s what Cyrusofchaos said
It's ridiculous that they're not sending one of their absolute best fencers to the Games, but if the French federation wants to lose the team gold (as well as lowering their chances at an individual medal) then this is absolutely the way to go. It's not that Midelton or Allegre are bad fencers, not by a long shot, and nothing against either of them, but Bardenet is better than either of them.
For completeness - and I write this fully horrified that Bardenet was not selected - you need to include the 15th touches from his two consecutive losses to Imrek 😔
