Can i turn a profit on this 147 TI, part 1 of this 2 part series. In this episode i fix some of the faults.

Lovely car, I have one 1.6 petrol. And now I bought Giulietta turbo Tct multi air. Just amazing car. And since 2006 I bought my first Alfaromeo, I never had a problem with all of them cars 🚗. Alfaromeo it’s a great car, you need to give attention like all the other car on the world 🌍.

For a 15/16 year old car subframes just should not be in that condition let alone snapping. Ive never seen that before. Another great video.

If the subframe this damaged, check the floor from inside, under the seats. They know to rust there as well.

I had 2 147s for about 12 years never seen any rust, both where sold looking new.. but of course it was in Portugal lol

I might going to check one of these this monday, its an 1.9jtd and it has 228k kilometers, but damn im checking the whole car for rust

Looks like it was advisory on the MOT for the last two tests and no action taken by the previous owners! Probably should have failed the last MOT really. Great little cars if the maintenance is kept up with

Hello, please advice.. i need to replace the Recirculation flap actuator motor on alfa 147 two zone auto clime.. tell me please does it need to take out all dash board out -remove all instrument panel to change Recirculation flap actuator? Thank you

Can we see a how to rust proof video? When i lived in the UK I a;ways tried to pressure wash underneath in about March. Not sure if it did any good.

Salt doesn't help but the main problem was Alfa simply didn't treat or paint these underbody parts remotely as well as they should have. The paint on mine was coming off in sheets after only 5 years, simply wasn't put on correctly. You'd almost think they didn't bother degreasing before slapping the paint on. Poor quality which is a shame because the upper body paintwork is very good.

Good grief that subframe is horrible - like it's spent 20 years at the bottom of the sea. I thought that sort of soluble subframe was limited to the 159/Brera. Still, my '58 147 isn't like that. The subframe still has intact paint aside from a tiny bit of surface rust on parts of the seams, and I gave the inside a good coating of Bilthamber S-50 a couple of years back. I wonder how that poor car got in that state?

Hello What is Normal oil consumation for a 147 2.0ts.I using Castrol edge 10w60 Car has 162.000 KM Manual Shift.It has nowehre Okl Leak on Engine.Thank You Cheers

Don't think it would of looked right facelifted. The HTC didn't do to well facelifted

Was it driven in the ocean after the MOT. For a substantial piece of steel to get that bad in 10 months and snap. Are they rebound for corroding so quickly to the point of detaching?

Now I know why I have driven hydropneumatic Citroen's for years! Just in case something like this would happen! It is said they can ride on 3 wheels. I'm not sure if that works with a front wheel missing though. What would the differential do? Wouldn't the disconnected axle output spin and the remaining wheel stay put? :-)
