So I am eighty years old and had an XK-140 Jaguar (one lap at Laguna Seca) and an E-Type Jaguar., on the Autobahn. If I had any choice it would be the older Stradale. So it is a little slower. So am I. But it has the looks, and the panache. More mature and smoother. It talks to me.
if you put these cars on a typical curvy road up in the Alps then I think the Stradale would have an advantage , you can see in this video how well the little sports car handles the turns
Who build the Stradale: Bertone, Zagato PininFarina or Alfa? Stunning beautiful and elegant. The Giulia with all the modern technology, turbo, tyres shows the Alfa Gene is still there, although I believe Ferrari had a participation to the engine. Thank you for posting the video.

What a beautiful car, with a beautiful engine 2.0 V8. So striking and looks like it can do 200mph. Just Getting in and out of one must be a sublime experience in itself, with those special doors ❤
You are all missing the point, this is a version of the first generation 33, later ones had the Flat 12 with 500bhp, this has a V8 with 200 ish, put the QV up against one of those, or drop the F12 into the Stradale. Ive seen the Stradale both at G.F.S. and in the Alfa Romeo museum in Milano.
@@petersmith3953 there's been only 1 generation of 33 stradale (stradale means "road legal", the alfa 33 is a different car.) the 33s you are referring to are pure racecars and are called "tipo 33"
Both beautiful machines. The QV we have is amazing . For the price point it costs the performance is devastating. Comparable to cars costing twice as much.

People rave over the looks and sound of the miura, but imo the alfa of '67 is far more glorious on both counts. And what's that ordinary looking red thing getting in the way?!
The Alfa 33 was also a very capable race car. The Miura never competed, it was made for rich kids who just wanted to show of, it was a hell to drive like all Lamborghinis. Alfa were intended for tracks and pure driving fun together with performance.
That was AWESOME. I love the 33 and the beauty of the older Alfa's. But to see the beautiful deign of today matched with the advances of modern technology and see side by side the performance improvements. That was AWESOME BEAUTY!
Alfa should relaunch a 33 looking exactly the same externally. It would still be one striking car. With modern engine n mechanicals. Keep it super light n simple.
Yes, I noticed... A bit of a bummer, but I suspect nobody would want to risk one of the very few 33 Stradale still in existence (15, 16?) just for a video.
Like they would ever race a stradale again. If one was up for auction instant most expensive car ever. Even beating that 60s Ferrari which looks like a chickenshed compared to the 33.
Intanto sono due auto che si guidano in maniera del tutto differente. Inoltre, non credo che la stradale fosse al suo massimo potenziale. Anche perché distruggere un auto simile significa una cifra fantastilionaria. Un errore e puffff..... La Giulia , per contro, oltre ad essere controllata in potenza, trazione, e mille altre cose sul motore, ed oltre ad essere, indubbiamente superiore è fatta da se stessa! La stradale è fatta da se stessa e dal pilota. Avrei voluto vedere uno di quei piloti che l'anno guidata in corsa nei suoi anni, contro questa Giulia ed il guidatore di essa.
Non c'è dubbio che anche su una pista vera la Giulia straccerebbe la 33 stradale, tuttavia un solo parfango ammaccato di una 33 ha più fascino di quanto potrà mai averne una Giulia intera tirata a lucido
The fastest car is the one which looks like a Ford Mondeo. What a shame. When did car makers start getting it so wrong. I'd take a car halve as fast if it looked like a 33 stradale. When did speed mean anything without passion.
If it was nearly any other circuit, like Imola or Mugello the Stradale would win so easily, that chassis is designed for pure racing, the new Giulia obviously gains in straights, not a fair comparizon imo
When noticed it was a game i was less concerned about Stradale. It would be a pity to fatigue like that an old lady who is almost one of a kind. However, it was very intriguing...
Took me a while to figure out this was game footage. Very good vision, though the Giulia coming out of the prima variante plowing a furrow twigged me. It also explains the Tipo 33 bogging like a bastard off the start.. 👍
