I’m having mine done in a couple of weeks. I’m very eager to have this done. I have very little confidence on turn in that the front will hook and I will be safe by mid corner. I went up a size on tires and while the tramlining nervous handling were improved marginally, now the car feels as if it were floating and slews from one side to the other in an unsettling way. I’ve adjusted the tire pressures a few different ways to no avail. I’m counting on these blocks and a good alignment to dial out the waywardness. I’ve Toguefest to attend in a couple of months and there is no way I’d drive this in anger on any mountain pass right now.
@@BookAutowerks I honestly don’t know but I wouldn’t be at all surprised if I had significantly toe out. The funny thing is, the Alfa dealership where I purchased the car did an alignment before I drove it off the lot. But it wasn’t a month before the driver side rear to start showing cord. A brand new tire too. So I’m dubious about their alignment skills
@@deviklovecraft3835 sounds like they might not have it centered, or possibly even a bad rear control arm bushing. Stock toe settings should be 4mm in rear, 2mm out front. AW recommends 3mm toe in on front after doing their suspension blocks, but I like the way the toe out feels.
@@BookAutowerks great info ! Dp what’s the toe on the rears following the blocks installation ? Hell, while I’m at it, I’ll kindly ask you for all AW’s recs for camber, toe, etc and then what YOU like. I only do the rare track day but drive in a very spirited manner on curvy tarmac. Tail of the Dragon is my temple
@@deviklovecraft3835 AW doesn't make any recommendations for camber or rear toe, at least not with these blocks. They might with their "race" blocks... not sure. Toe should be 4mm IN on rear. I haven't checked my camber in quite awhile. IIRC it's about -1.7° front, and -2.2° rear
You still need to adjust your Toe-in to 3mm or 0.15' total Toe in. That will complete the installation. I am actually one hand driving on the back roads.
IMO I don't really see much of a downside. Leave the slight factory toe out instead of adding toe in like Alfaworks suggests and you get to keep the quick turn in.
