At the time I made this video, backcountry camping wasn't allowed yet in Ontario, however, paddling was. I got up early and headed to one of my favorite places to paddle in Algonquin Park, starting at East Beach at Lake of Two Rivers, and paddling through to Whitefish Lake. It was a beautiful morning, peaceful, quiet and full of bugs. LOL. Sadly, I forgot my headnet so I had a few challenges but also found a cool surprise along the way. Hope you enjoy this weeks video, Algonquin Park Paddle, Lake of Two Rivers to Whitefish. Thanks for watching! Cheers!

My favourite place to paddle. I usually come from Rock Lake, will have to try that way. Awesome seeing the fish spawning. Those bugs though...ugh!!!

Great video. We're heading there in a couple weeks and going to take this same route. Hopefully minus the bugs (late August). Thanks for filming and posting this. Super helpful.

Attach that portage yoke! Unless it floats? Expensive untethered anchor if you dump. :D Nice paddle, my ability to get out this year has been limited so it's nice to paddle vicariously. Thanks.

We try to do this route at least once a year, you should have stopped at the rope swing at Pog before the dam. Thanks for taking us along.

Hi Christina , wondering what type / brand of canoe you prefer or paddle . I'm a beginner camper / canoeist on a mission to buy my very first canoe.

Oh my those bugs, your camera showed them well when you were pushing off lol no fun when their flying about . were those bass spawning down at the dam, I know bass season is in may i believe , well nice little canoe trip sad about the bugs but it is that time of the year for them i guess, i always found them to be at their best before a rain where i go

Always a good day on the water! Glad you didn’t end up getting stuck in the thunder storms while out paddling!

I've watched a couple of your videos and appreciate the effort you put into making them. Way to 'slog it out' through all those bugs...couldn't have been easy!

Good job. I can understand the pain with the bugs. We've been backcountrying in Killarney last week and the bugs just killed us.. Thanks for the vid btw
