What makes it even funnier is that the guy isn't really implying a question mark at all. It's more like a obvious statement, until - mid question - he turns to Ali, and isn't that sure anymore.
The woman on the right might be the most respectful guest to ever be on this show. Seems to grasp just how dumb Ali is, yet doesn't condescend even a little. Very pleasant.
The last thing he is, is dumb, that is the whole point. It's that "South Park" humor. Just completely stupid jokes for no reason but all due to an underlying tone and proving a point.
Mattm1986 I didn't mean it that way. South Park is littered with gross out toilet humor and stupid jokes that seem like they are there for no purpose, just throwing jokes in, however it's all there to disguise the actual joke and point they are making. I don't think you read my previous comment correctly my friend.
Lady on the right is an ultra intelligent person and it's displayed by the way she enjoys talking to Ali....it don't matter who you talk to, you can gain from it.
"Oh, did you see 'Sex and the City' last night? Oh, George Cloomey is so good looking. Oh, did you see me new shoes? Oh, I is pregnant again." I snorted yoghurt up the back of my nose.
@@skhkh4843 The part in speech marks: during the video. The part not in speech marks: he didn't - that's what happened to me while I was watching the video.
3:06. "thanks!" That woman has all my respect. She understands where he is coming from. She is being mindful and respectful. God damn this made me laugh so hard. Ali pushing them boundaries. He trolling, yet she has high ground without dominance or condesendense.
I have to say this made me realize just how much of a treasure Sacha is. With this show he gave voices to relatively boring looking people and made some important things heard with both positive and critical aspects. For example, how splitting chores is important. But also how important it is to laugh at silly jokes and not get offended by everything. And even showed a way of handling it "yo, say that somewhere else". This is brilliant. Big fan.
He was just saying that when he doesn't understand a joke he says it wasn't funny and take it somewhere else basically to deflect from him not getting the joke, and he was joking that she still didn't get the joke and was doing that
That is a really good point - the Ali G character works equally well in many different contexts, whether you're talking to politicians, professors, activists or David Beckham. The concept is the same and just as funny. So the fact that Sasha decided to include professors and activists and on such topics as human rights, animal rights, feminism... It's clever because you end up rooting for the other person and wanting to hear their message. It's too bad that Ali seems to cut them off quite often and you don't really hear what they have to say, but then again that is in keeping with his character
@Hamish McGlashan she also said she cooks & her husband cleans. simple division of labor between couples. but mentioning that goes against your agenda. Weak attempt Incel. 😂😂
This group of people are the most chilled out and kindest people he has interviewed, you can tell they genuinely believe he is not understanding and trying to help him.
He actually wasn't referring to crap. But I can explain it if you like me to. He was well talking about, you know, dem babylons. Cos you know b*tches got like a right one, but not like women's rights. He means like dey got a right and a left boob. Yeah he was talking about dem breasts ha ha ha! I hope you gets it my man. Lemme know if you did. Because sometimes it's hard to understand a joke, but just hit me up. I got you, because there's a difference, you see when it comes to jokes. So lemme know. Respects.
@@Daniwasinvented yeah some people just can't grasp this kind of humour. i mean he was talking about how women have a right and a left breast. like one on the right and the other on the left.
***** You clearly dont understand my point. If it was all about GENDER EQUALITY then the woman would say 'i'd hire a cleaning PERSON'. Because she assumed the cleaning person would be female I wrote my comment. Do you understand now?
+Walter White you're best off using the term housekeeper which includes both genders. you wouldn't call your son Walter Jr a cleaning lady if he was cleaning peoples houses would you now :p.
+Tormund Of House Giantsbane That's the most common gender that cleans houses. It's not like she intentionally said that. I'm a female in business and I certainly don't get offended when people say "businessman" when referring to my profession. Just like "business person" sounds awkward, "cleaning person" sounds awkward, too
After watching Ali G millions of times over the past 10 years, now my favorite parts of his interviews have to be his opening monologue when the guests are absolutely baffled at what he is saying, not sure what language he is speaking, and still reeling from observing his outfit.
Woman in red was awesome!!!! She was so cool and even took the joke sportingly. I'm all for women's rights but people should a bit of humor and not be so serious all the time. I wish I could hang out with someone like that of my age.
I agree. I really liked her. How old are you if I can ask. If you're in you're 30s/40s or 50s you might have difficulty in the USA finding a woman like that.
I'm laughing reading the comments. Everyone loves the lady on the right. I was just thinking that her smile and sense of humour were very attractive. Why is that hard to find?
MsTommyknocker She said she had a cleaning LADY, idiot. By 'typical feminist', I was referring to the typical hypocrisy and elitism displayed by this feminist (and most others I've encountered). Your comment is embarrassingly stupid, and you missed the point entirely.
Ms tommy you've missed the point made completely.. Translated into logic what the feminist basically said I won't clean because I'm a woman so I'll pay a woman to clean for me making absolutely no sense and summing up modern feminism up perfectly
MsTommyknocker Apparently you know nothing of the real world or have real world experience to realize that it does not operate on an ideal, liner path, privileged road to resources and education. You dont understand how socioeconomic history works, do you? My mom and sister do not mop floors but i work for a local charity group in my town, and i work with low income people who have no choice but to take these jobs with stories behind(due to being laid off...etc) You dont understand how the real world works how old are you? do you even have a job? (im going to say mommy and daddy have fully supported you, provided you and spoon fed you all the resources you need, so you can sit there in your pompous ass
In the West, that is John Cleese. Cmon, you know that. But there are not many others as funny as Sasha Baron at his best, or at 90%. Thing is, he can never be the funniest, because his lowest level is utter shite. And he has made some utter shite. Sometimes he also reaches for sexual jokes predictably and too easily, because he hasnt had a consistently high level. The best comedians have a good baseline level. A couple of the films hes made, like the Dictator, are godawful. John Cleese was never bad in Monty Python or Fawlty Towers, and although he can be a bit unfair on a couple of issues, Dylan Moran has never recorded a bad special. I dont know if Oscar Wilde has ever written a bad play either. Jeremy Clarkson has rarely if ever been shit throughout a whole episode of Top Gear, Lee Mack has rarely if ever had a bad televised episode on Would I Lie To You, and Cleese's writing partners in Monty Python speak for themselves. There are also a large number of talented English comedians after them, and a notable few from Canada. Writers for things like early series of Friends and The Simpsons, such as John Swartzwelder. After that, there are comedians who are capable of the sublime, but they also make rubbish. Cohen is in that category. He has done some absolutely brilliant things, at times, but he has also done things that if I wrote them would never see the light of day.
It's 2 am over here and I'm watching this while brushing my teeth. I lost it when he got her to explain the joke. I nearly spat myself under. Damn. I need to rewatch this show. I couldn't appreciate this as a 13 year old when it came out.
Such a classic. I lost it at how aggressively he says “then explain it!…if you gets it.” And the sudden joy in his face when she confirms it lmao this episode was beautiful. Feels very good hearted from all involved.
+billy giles but it is the best intended part of ali g, i don't really know how he does it so well and doesn't crack up at his own ingenious jokes - because i would.
