I've loved this song since it was first released by AiC in 1992. It's so interesting to me that whenever I hear an amazing cover I get goosebumps like I did here. It's like it amplifies the awesomeness of the original which doesn't seem possible but it happens and when it does it just makes life grand.

Layne was very good, but I personally think that many singers like Serj Tankian, Maynard James Keenan or even Corey Taylor could knock this song out of the park right next to the original, if not even further.

@@DeathsAlterEgo I can see why you'd think Serj's voice is awkward, but I don't think he lacks the raw power. Concerning Corey, I believe his performance with Stone Sour proves that he's totally capable of delivering some strong, clean vocals beyond just "gruff", and that he can be a really soulful singer when he sets his mind to it. What I meant is that, as special as Layne was, many singers are as good and soulful as him and could put their own twists in this song and make it just as good.

Violet's voice I think is harmonised - my ear isn't quite good enough to say concretely - but it's definitely not octaves apart, thirds, perhaps a fifth at most.
