The Bradys start to feel the effects of cousin Emma's drill sergeant ways! #bradybunch | Now streaming on Paramount+ Where to watch: para.mt/BradyBunch
Back then when I was a little kid I used to think that Emma was mean, Now I feel that Emma is someone that we need right now, Especially for today’s kids, FR!
I read that in real life Ann B. Davis had an identical twin sister, named Harriet. They could have had Emma be “her sister” instead of cousin, but if Patty Duke can have an “identical cousin,” I guess Alice can too! 😀
Emma is right about one thing, people don't always like what's good for them. I don't just mean exercise. People don't like diet, take medicine, wear seatbelts or even wear masks through a pandemic even though it's good for them. But people love what's bad for them like smoking, drinking, junk food, driving recklessly etc.
Cousin Emma should have been called when Alice worked at the greasy spoon and the boss yelled at her. "Drop and give me ten. How'd you like them porkchops and applesauce, Corporal?"
This is funny I love this. I guess this is why the kids of yesteryear are in better shape. Also I love Marcia's purple outfit, Happy International Women's Day.
I guess this made the 2nd time the family had missed dear ol' Alice; the other time being when the kids gave her the "cold shoulder" and wasn't her friend any more. She was briefly replaced by Kaye.😢
I don't think Emma was being a bully just said she came from the military background thought the family could use some exercise and they said to the kids that telling her off wasn't that simple cuz she was Alice's cousin and didn't want to hurt Alice's feelings
@@tamyasaunders7689 to let this woman run everyone ragged for a week just because they're afraid of hurting Alice's fee-fee's...I mean Alice shouldn't have had an expectation that her cousin could just come in and take over the household in the first place...And what about the Bradys feelings? Don't their feelings count too? Or is it all about Alice
@@mikep5335 I agree with you on that one I wonder how else would have felt about that she thought the family loves getting up at 6:00 and exercising which is why Emma left her the whistle and instructions
*EMMA:* "...you too, Mrs. Brady, you got a nice 'lil figure there, you wouldn't want it to go to pot..." (2:21) ...Emma CLEARLY didn't stick around when Carol ran to the water to save Greg, when he hit his head on the surfboard in Hawaii! ...ha-HAA!! (1:35)
@@conniecanas1422 Yes they did , but Alice would pour their milk and give out snacks when the kids could have done it. The kids did make their beds though
No 70s kids would EV-ER have tolerating someone coming into their houses and behaving that insane. Such a silly premise. There would have been 6 of us vs. Emma and the dad. "Emma, this ain't the army, you're here as a maid with light kitchen duty, so fug off!"
She's one of those people who believes that the army is run with organization and that a home requires the same. It reminds me of what Mr. Banks says(in song) in Mary Poppins, "A British bank is run with precision. A British home requires nothing less."
Mike could have put his foot down and said enough is enough. No more exercising and the kids already have chores and don't need to be doing everything, that's what you're here for.
It's weird because now that the interior of the real house looks identical to the series, the series no longer looks like a stage. In my mind it's just the real home
If I was Mike I would've had a talk with Emma and told her "I'm not paying you to treat my kids like soldiers, you either cut the crap or Do Not Come Back and I'll let Alice know what you're doing!"
I don't know what Carol was whining about. If I were her, I would have just kept quiet and let Emma do her duty. True, she may have gone a tad overboard with her Army drill sergeant ways, but at least she had her job down pat what with the house and the kids in regulations and all! Kids these days could use a woman like her!
I really thought the end was very poorly written. The cake for Alice but Emma saw it and Alice coming home in the middle of the cake but no one is happy at all. Really not a Brady ending. They should have written that they end up liking her and she softens a bit. At the end you really feel bad for Emma because they are really shitty to her. It's actually a sad ending. Emma deserved better.
