ALIEN 3 | FIRST TIME WATCHING | MOVIE REACTION 

If I remember correctly through, Whatever the face hugger attaches itself to, it takes on the traits of its host, or the alien mixes with it, and since this alien came out of a dog it's acting differently than the ones that came out of humans.

A lot of people don't like this film, but I think it's a decent watch 😊

In this version it's the dog, it another that I have seen it came out of a dead Ox.

Hey, Ryan! Finally got around to watch and comment this one! And like I said in a previous comment, even though this entry is the bleakest overall, I still enjoyed your reaction very much. The editing was good, your commentary apt and funny and you solved "the mystery" (well, the obvious one!) very quickly. When I watched it the first time, this one was likewise a major let down after the first and second films, but later I grew to appreciate it (somewhat) when I understood why it turned out the way it did. Just to add some context, _Alien3_ should be, without a doubt, studied (and probably is somewhere, haha) as an advanced film-making course in troubled production: the script, the director, the studio, all of it was in clash of ideas the entire time. The director David Fincher is (in)famous in refusing to even discuss the subject decades later. The studio balked at his extended Assembly Cut version, but it does add more layers and sense due to better editing and special effects. There, the alien is birthed from an ox, I think. (This introduces the idea that the xenomorphs actually do inherit _some_ traits from their hosts; notice how this xenomorph not only looks different but was also more comfortable running on all fours in this film.) Curiously, you yourself also pointed out how this film somehow _feels_ more dated, especially in technical terms but also production values and message, and I wholeheartedly agree. And there is a really good video by Alien Theory channel where he points out how the film might be subconsciously seen as a haphazard metaphor for the (post)AIDS crisis in the early 90s. Final thoughts: best scare, well, the glass breaking by your own admittance while the best line has to be ''Well, what’s her hairdo going to be in the next one?'', haha. Looking forward to the reaction to that next one!

Sheeesh u need to stop OVERTHINKING these movies.. they only get much weirder from now on ..

I am not a fan because it sorts made Aliens almost like what's the point of anyone surviving this last time. We get attached to Newt and we lose her. Plus, I wasn't the biggest fan of the Alien's design it looked more like CGI instead of someone being inside of the suits. I don't hate it, but I also not hundred percent liked it either. Especially the dog scene that just messes with me.
