I remember this in the 80s from our local fair and the operator was awesome he would get us hyped up and if we screamed loud enough we would go faster, he was great. Also they played loud rock music like Bon Jovi ah I miss the 80s fairs
I got back from the N.C state fair like right now and I love that ride, I went on a different one (still at the fair) it was the same ride just different color and it wasn’t crowed at all, I went 7 times and I made lime 5 friends, and since it wasn’t crowed we were all LAYING DOWN HORIZONTALLY, we each had like 3 seats or whatever u wanna call it, it was so fun
@KiLLaH5787 that's the best time to go when it isn't crazy busy then you can spread out! I wish they would let people turn upside down but they don't let people do that anymore.
I went on this ride for the first time at the county fair today, and it was fun af. even though it felt like my skin was going to be ripped off, it was hella fun. However, the second time i went on it, some girl on the ride um.. uh.. threw..up- i was scared when i realized that because i have emetophobia- anyway, i highly recommend this ride to some daring riders! If your adventurous, put your legs off the ground like the people in the video! Its way more fun than just standing there.
Oh I agree completely!! I always try and go into several different positions on this ride. I'll put both my arms and legs out when it's at full speed. I love it when the seats shift up too and my head will be almost touching the ceiling bc I've moved up so far. You'll see in my more recent videos on this ride doing stuff like this. It's a blast. I've never thrown up though!
@@rtraveler2004 The next time the fair rolls around, I’m definitely going to be going on the ride again! It somehow always scares me when the seats shift up because I never see it coming, but it’s funny how my friend reacts. She hates it 😂
When you go on it next time, try and do a video. I subscribed to you! I wanna see you all's reactions. Unfortunately the fairs here are done until next year. I wish Kings Island and other permanent parks had these lol.
@@rtraveler2004 yeah, my county fair is done for the year, but the state fair is coming up in late October! I’ll see if I can go on a ride that’s similar, or the same one if they have it! The bad thing is I’ll have to go alone. My friend can’t deal with rides like that- sadly 😭
Ahh at least you have a fair this year still! I've only been to a few state fairs but a bunch of smaller county ones. I've been to Indiana State Fair, Ohio State Fair, Wisconsin State Fair, and Kentucky State Fair. I really want to do Tennessee and West Virginia State Fair next year which run in August. Florida State Fair I also wanna do which runs right in the middle of February and it looks massive! California State Fair is going now I think or is about to and they have some unique rides there I've seen online I wanna do. My ultimate fair bucket list fair is Hull Fair in the UK which runs in October. You should see some of the rides they have out there. They put ours to shame! Ya it sucks going alone on rides but it still doesn't stop me from riding lol.
Ohhh man... I use to ride that a lot in the 80s and a bit of the 90s before they sold the ride... I remember my brother and I use to flip in all positions and the operator was there eating his hot-dogs and drinking his coke watching us and giving us the finger.
Haha that sound like so much fun! Unfortunately I never got to flip upside down on these as they stopped letting people do this after I started riding these. Still a lot of fun though!
I used to work at the beach and ran this ride. It was a blast and most times I'd let people do what they want, except go upside down. If anyone ever did I'd wait for the seats to rise, then at peak speed hit the brake and the seats would slam down... basically pile driving the idiot
One time i went on the Gravitron I had to put my arms on my chest because my Boobs were bouncing up and down on the ride my Boobs are huge and big and i didn't want people seeing my Breasts bounce up and down that is why i had my arms on my chest when i rode the Gravitron long time ago 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha oh yes especially when the seats unexpectedly shift up once it spins faster and catches everyone off guard and then shift back down when the spinning slows. I've seen lots of girls do this when that happens. I've also seen boobs come out in the wave pool at Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville lol!
If you think that this is fun the rotor would have really knocked your socks off. The floor drops while you are stuck to the wall. Spinning around in a big drum something like this only better!
Oh I've been on the one from Kissell Entertainment at Bluegrass Fair but they fixed it to where the floor don't drop anymore so it's just a regular rotor now. Still cool though!
