R.I.P El-Cid 2018-2018 (came here from his UT-02 Challenger review)

This transformation is doing to my 21 year old mind what Transformers Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime did to my mind when I was 12 and that was being super frustrated and crying

Anyone else think some of these transformations give Emgo nightmares?

I am 40+ years old and have been a fan of transformers since they first came out. My first transformer was Sky Warp, bought for me by my father. Transformers is my favorite franchise of all franchises, and even though I may not exactly love every iteration equally, I still love them as a whole. My love for cars, planes, giant robots and things of that nature all come from being exposed to this franchise. That even includes Bayformers. that said, I feel that the people that design these characters and toys do not get the credit they deserve. Even when they fail they still win. How many other toy lines created back then are still around today, and out of those, how many are as popular today as they were back then? Very few indeed. Thank you EMGO for all you do to share your joy of this franchise with the world. Keep up the good work bro. "Till all are one" -O. Prime

The transformation may be rough, but the engineering is fantastic. For the first time, an AoE/TLK Prime actually feels like it’s transforming. The design for the robot mode just does not translate into a transformable toy at all. So the fact that they made a toy that’s screen accurate without a massive amount of kibble or an ungodly backpack is impressive. I still hate the design, though. Hopefully, if there’s another sequel, his robot mode reverts back to a design similar to that of the first three movies (like Bumblebee’s did in TLK.) Or, you know, just reboot completely.

Jeez and I thought ROTF mixmaster and a few of the tfc toys transformations were complicated.

The way they hide the wheels is brilliant

There is transformation, and then there is nightmarish transformation, then there is this. It looks beyond a nightmare to convert. And that "Engrish" on the box. My gosh, I don't think anyone can understand that motto. I was laughing at that so much, it brought me to tears.

I am willing to bet that the unique toys version, while still complicated, won't take as much steps as this one.

I'm actually pretty impressed with what they've tried to do. I mean I can see all the same flaws you can but you have to admit for a company as young as them it's pretty good. Although I don't really mind that gap on the top back of the cab. I think it actually ads a bit of realism. If you look at the actual truck that part is a separate piece and kind of wobbles when the truck is driving

This is pretty much a Masterpiece Movie Optimus Prime

That seems like an overly frustrating transformation. The truck mode does look pretty decent but the robot mode is just alright looking to me. I do like the weapons except for the connector for the shield. It's cool they made the gun cause that seems to be completely overlooked by most people. I can't wait to see how Unique Toys' figure compares and I hope it'll be amazing like Peru Kill. Great review Emgo and I'm glad you only showed off all the parts of transformation only once cause that was painful to watch. Also the bio on the box sounds like something Alpha Trion would say.

This is a cool figure the problem with mine is that pieces fall off and it’s very cheap not worth it. Wait for Unique Toys Model

After seeing the way that wheel was connected at the beginning, I knew this would be hella difficult transformation. After seeing it all, I have to ask. Is a transformation that complicated absolutely needed in order to achieve movie accuracy for Primes robot mode. If so, then I wish he wasn't designed to be so smooth in the first place.

You know it's a laborious transformation when Emgo edits out the second verse.

By the time im done transforming this i will hav grandchildren The detail is so amazing like they got rid of that back part which is in the normal toy and that makes it perfect

Visually stunning, but that transformation reminds me of G-Creation Ultra Maximus. I'll wait for Unique Toys Version.

This has nothing to do with this review, but I saw a trailer for a movie called “Uncle Drew” coming out in June. In it the main character (an elderly basketball player) says “You don’t stop playing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop playing”. I immediately thought of our friend emgo. And copyright infringement.

The sliding hip joint exists so the leg could go outward without putting too much pressure on the skirt

I’m voting on Challenger. Its design seems to be much more solid and less clunky. Also it’s name is so much cooler. Cid vs Challenger.

The hip slides back simply to add clearance while transforming it.

This definitely may be one of the most complex transformers transformations I have ever seen

Ya know... the mold for this Optimus (Atleast I think this might be) could be a heavily modified version of the Transformers Prime Optimus.

Rise optimus prime toys not only I love you but you push my son to always be creative and use his imagination as the best form of fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuunn, to just have fun

Maybe it’s an optional joint, like you can choose to have them forward for a straight on look, or back for a more dynamic pose or something

It’s incredible how lockdown is the same height as Optimus (well the toy versions)

The best part is that "El Cid campeador" is actually the name of a medieval spanish leader that is considered a hero because he helped in the reconquest of the Iberian Peninsula.

Third parties are getting crazier and crazier with the names for these figures. I mean, first it was Peru kill, and now it’s El Cid. What?

Something about the robot mode seems off to me. I’m not entirely sure what it is about it that bugs me but there’s something. And as complicated as the transformation looks, it reminds me a lot of the First Edition Prime Optimus Voyager and Deluxe

I like this figure because I'm the rare person that enjoys the challenge of the transformation. I feel like a movie figure is incomplete without an screen-accurate transformation, and this is decent at that, much more so than the leader figure. I don't like this figure because it empties your wallet. I don't actually own this figure tho.

This was a decent attempt at his knight look and it ain't too bad besides a few issues but I'm all for Unique Toys and can't wait for TF EVO's version.

A lot of the transformation engineering reminds me a lot of TFP FE Prime.

The scratched paint sucks, but i suppose you could call it battle damage.

It's ILM and Michael Bay's fault for designing such an impossible Prime with no visible truck parts. He looks like a man wearing a metal suit

I like the figure except for the hood I think it should be longer a little like the other toys also I would like it if he came with his energon blade used to fight Galvatron that he put in his chest and was shredded

Omg when I saw the picture on the video I thought this was just a statue but then I saw (prime time) a truck I was like wait...IT TRANSFORMS???

This guy makes over 10min videos naturally and yet I have never seen mid rolls on them unlike most of RU-vid these days who stretch their videos to 10:01 and litters an ad every like 2 minutes. I won’t skip the ads on his videos because of this. And if he did start using mid rolls, I wouldn’t skip then.

I thought you would be going for the Unique Toys Challenger, it looks much more superior and has the knight gauntlets

This thing's transformation reminds me of a much more complicated version of the Transformers Prime First Edition Voyager Optimus Prime.

No, that didn't make sense to me either... Also, anyone ever told you your Prime voice reminds people of Sarge from Red vs Blue?

Looks at thumbnail to see an amazing robot mode but realized that it had another mode that takes around an half an hour just to get too to it. Praying for emgo as we speak.

The thing about unique toys is, they didn't need to do super-complex transformation for Peru Kill Lockdown and still look acurate. Then again Optimus's design is a little more complicated than Lockdown... we'll see how unique toys make the truck disappear in Prime's body (hopefully not as tedious as Alien Aattack's).

If the parts on this toy held together better and the price was cheaper, I would like this toy.

This mold looks really good. If it were perfected and the flawed parts were redesigned then this could very well work as a Movie Masterpiece TLK Optimus Prime.

Alien attack has released dark of the moon megatron which is not on big bag toy store but you can buy that figure from showz store
