Alien: Earth | New TV Series [2025] UPDATE | Cast & Plot Details 

I don't know how to feel about Noah Hawley's Alien FX series, I do kinda get his not liking the overall look of Ridley's Alien prequels. I always looked at Weyland's "Prometheus" starship as being like this top of the line, advanced ship cause he was like a Trillionaire. Also I viewed the Nostromo as a real, old Space "Tug-vessel" that had been in service for like ages; and thats why it had that whole retro-futuristic, worn down, used, grimy look to it. One thing I did actually really like about Ridley's Prometheus was the whole world-building and lore he brought to the universe. In my own head, I just see it as the "Engineers" just Discovered the facehugger eggs, and them replicated a more viral method containing the Xeno DNA which they had in those urns, contained within all those Ampules. This was a more easier to control method of their "bioweapon" than carrying the actual Facehugger eggs. Covenant in it's second half especially is just messy, and I also agree it's just unforgivable why Ridley chose to kill Shaw off, OFF-SCREEN! When he had literally ended Prometheus with her, going out in search of "Answers" and we had followed her, through everything she had been through and was invested in her character. Then all of a sudden Ridley just expects us to all get into this new character in Daniels, who i can tell he tried to make sympathetic, but I honestly didn't care about at all. The issue of David being the actual "Creator" of the Xenomorphs is a seriously terrible idea, especially when it contradicts the whole Mural of the Deacon in the Ampule room in Prometheus. However there is actually a easy way to retcon this issue, all they had to do really was just make it where David was more of a "John Hammond" type figure, in that he played God, with his scientific genius; and just like Hammond from Jurassic Park, David basically found a way to replicate something that already existed eons ago, and actually predates even the Engineers. Infact it should really be established that the Engineers themselves merely Discovered the Facehugger eggs and built their whole culture or technology around them, revering the Xenomorph in how it constantly evolves and adapts. What I fear about Hawley's Alien series is this whole idea he has of setting it purely on Earth, when it's a while before the classic, masterpiece *Alien*. He's going to have to then show somehow, somekind of scientific team or company comes across some facehugger eggs, that they either bring to earth, or the eggs open, their ship is overrun, and the ship's own A.I. goes into a automatic guidance return back to Earth. That's about the best, most logical to satisfyingly explain how exactly a Xenomorph actually gets on Earth. From here I feel the best direction Hawley should go is deep into a really clever, "Corporate Espionage" plot. Make it fairly complex, with multiple players, Not just Weyland-Yutani. I remember that line Ripley says to one of the Company Execs after the Inquiry, where Ripley says - "Atleast they're not screwing eachother over for a paycheck." Or something like that, this is the kind of thing Hawley's series needs, lots of Corporate backstabbing, treachery and conspiracy. Where different figures are selling out and betraying eachother, to a rival company, in return for big promotions and power. All while the Xenomorph itself like tucked away somewhere deep underground or something. If it's sometime before Alien 1979 but a while after the events of Prometheus and Covenant, a nice twist i'd imagine is that Weyland being a "very suspicious man" not even trusting his own daughter to carry on his empire; actually had somekind of fail-safe, where he had a small number of actual Androids, similar to his own David, who actually end up running his Weyland company, and merge it with Yutani; they act as this special Board of Directors or something. Staying kind of in the shadows running things but are always mysterious. And the big twist in Noah Hawley's show could be that this small group of Androids, nobody else knows they are actual Synthetics. I remember Covenant's Walter saying they made Androids much too close to Humans, even David says to Holloway - "not too close I hope", which was a nice line. That would be a interesting area to explore, thousands of Humans working in a giant global Conglomerate as Weyland-Yutani like one of the biggest on the planet, and all the while not one soul is even aware that actual "robots" are secretly running the whole thing, and the Humans are working for them. I just don't want the show to be boring, and only about like interpersonal relationships each week, sure we have to get to know all the main characters and to be able to relate to them, but I want there to be a really clever story at the heart of it all, that connects all the major players; and it still should have plenty of suspense, some horror here and there and lots of mystery and conspiracy going on.

Romulus looks really promising, but im not totally on board with the "corporate warfare and creation vibe". Its the same thing that bugged me about a lot of the later books where its all about making drugs from their blood or whatever. WY does serve a valuable kinda shadowy evil purpose, but getting into the weeds just kinda sucks the general impact of it. Thats what bugs me about a lot of the later books, where theyre making drugs from alien blood etc. The hook of the story is the unknown, unknowable, and well alien. Taking it down to office politics and the exploitation of weird animals really sucks the horror out.

Get it away from the Covenant angles, get back to the Giger....a strange Alien Species, not David's toys.

It's starting to look like another Prometheus Style disaster with no Xenomorphs.

In Romulus they find a cocooned Big chap and by using Davids research are able to extract black goo and grow new face huggers from embryos. These face hugger embryos the same as the ones seen in Davids hands the last time He was seen are then grown on to full size without eggs.

It sounds like Noah Hawley has some sci-if themes he wanted to explore, principally trans humanism, and has hijacked the Alien brand to use as a vehicle through which he can do that. It appears to be the complete opposite approach of Fede Alvarez who has been faithful to both the original films and prequels. If Noah Hawley wanted to write a story about trans humanism he should’ve done it as a separate non-Alien project. The idea of xenomorphs on Earth is fundamentally offensive to me because one of the main sources of tension that runs through all the canonical Alien films is stopping this life form from getting to earth. Putting xenomorphs on Earth completely deflates all of that tension. Hawley perhaps thinks this is subversive and original. In addition, Hawley complained about the prequels demystifying the Xenomorph, yet he wants to put Xenomorphs on Earth prior to the events of all Prometheus, Covenant, Alien and Aliens? How does that work? They were from Earth all along?

My idea for an alien tv-series is as follows: It takes places just before the events in the first alien movie and happens on a planet near where the nostromo spaceship is shipping ore.Weyland-Yutani is on the planet and have terraformed it for years,when they discovers a cave with lots of xenomorph eggs. One of them get's infected and a xenomorph is born. It turns out to be a queen,and a lot of the Weyland-Yutani humans are infected and then a war breaks out.All the humans on the planet are wiped out and only a few manage to escape in a spaceship.Then they nuke the planet from orbit. Then Weyland-Yutani regrets the decision and a hunt for the xenomorph begins.They get a tip that there's a crashed spaceship on lv426 and sends the robot Ash on the Nostromo spaceship.But they are informed that the mission has failed and that Nostromo has gone missing.Then Weyland-Yutani get's a tip about an xenomorph on Fiorina161 and sends a team of researchers there.They finds a surviving prisoner that is impreagnated and a queen is born. Weyland-Yutani then wants to use the xenomorphs on the planets where the engineers are located because they want the technology to seed planets with life. They also want the elixir that provides humans with prolongued life.After they have managed to give birth to a flock of xenomorphs,they drops them on an engineer planet and causes everyone of them to die.Then they get hold of the blue elixir that gives prolongued life.But several ships with engineers that where away from their planet when Weyland-Yutani wiped the population out,pursue them and manages to get the elixir back,but gets trapped on the planet where both parties crash.Then a battle takes place and the crew from Weyland-Yutani gets the elixir that gives them prolongued life for thousands of years,but they are now trapped on the planet,with no means to get anywhere.But then they see a light aproaching,but is the spaceship friends or foes ?

The look is what something Andor addressed as well: stories set 30 or 40 years prior to the originals shouldn't look more technologically advanced 🤔

Ridley Scott & Noah Hawkley both have it right about the zenomorphs they are an evolved species from Zenomorph Prime planet & have been bioengineered by the Engineers the Synthetic in Alien Covenant created his own version of the Zenomorphs called Protomorphs

Cut david line from creation story please. Give alience more fame , their origing must have roots from some mystical beginning. Not just a be species madenin laboratory. I wish i prefer i would never know where they came from, instead this davids theory heiry!!😊

It seems the longer they spend developing Alien series/movies, the more dubious results. I think they should have stopped with two even as AVP was just fun enough for a ride or two.

I'll reserve judgement till I see a trailer however judging by Romulus trailer and the last two movies I'm not expecting anything but a dumpster fire.

The TV has some interesting themes that are similar to what Ridley Scott wanted to pay attention to. (Immortality, Creation and Rebellion). The thing we have to remember is that the TV series is its own thing it is NOT connected to the Movies. The way to look at it is the Newer Planet of the Apes vs the 60's and 70"s ones.... or the Tim Burton Batman Movies (90's) vs the Dark Knight Movies. It is a Alternative Take...... While we will see Xenomorphs on Earth they arrive via a Weyland Yutani Ship that Crashes in a City owned by the Prodigy Corp. It's a case of does the Xenomorph over shadow the other Aspects of the TV series? Fans who did not like RS and his interest in A.I.. better strap themselves in as the TV series goes into more Depth in this regards. Multiple sources of A.I (including Organic A.I)

It is nice to know the story before 1979. But i just want THAT. No woke stuff pushed into the front of the story like LOOK LOOK! We are aware of the problem. Do NOT mess with the Alien lore.

Would love to hear James Cameron was involved instead of Ridley Scott…. Meh
