Finally Im so glad this abomination was shut down. Its insane , they had an easy win, a franchise beloved by millions, and instead of hiring someone who loves the franchise and stays true to it, they hired someone who was proud to say they dont care about source material, and proceeded to do his own b*llshit, changing the spirit and the characters as to not be recognsiable anymore. They left some names and some items, but changed everythign else, with the most important ofc being master chief was transofrmed from a stoic super soldier to an emotianaly unstable idiot. I hated this show so much, i stopped watching i think after 4 episodes of season 1. And the hubris of these poeple, "yeah the games are beloved by milions, but we know better, we will do our own thing".
It's not like there are any examples of this in the past they could learn from, Oh! wait there is, Judge Dredd, Boba Fett until the prequals and disney shows, if you have a charater who's known for never showing their face, don't show their friggin face!, for any reason.
Don’t know how it got a second season it was a show made by people who never played the game and hate the fans of the game so weird they had a plot/story already, they had some cool characters, AND THEY HAD TO RUIN IT!!
Once upon a time, being the IP holder conferred absolute control over a brand. That day is dead. If the IP holder refuses to bring out new content or insists on only bringing out degraded content, then we can make our own. I invite all my fellow Star Wars fans to enjoy another unauthorized novel completely free. Just google Legend of the Harp Jedi.
fuck these woke studios, their policy, their propaganda, their money and their beliefs. all we want with movies, games and entertainment is to be FUCKING ENTERTANING... WE DONT GIVE A FUCKING SHIT ABOUT WHAT YOU BELIEVE IN, KEEP POLITICS TO YOURSELF AND TO POLITICIANS
The Halo TV series is completely garbage and the sooner it ends the sooner we may actually get a faithful adaptation at some point. Fallout actually doesn't have very good writing but it's mostly faithful to it's source material and it "feels" like Fallout. And hearing that the main actress played the fallout games to understand her character and universe was just a breath of fresh air. Looking forward to it's second season and that it "grows the beard" and gets better.
Grew up playing halo.i bought the very first xbox with halo when it first came out.LOVED the halo franchise, the commercials, toys, lore everything.was excited when this show was announced.watched the first episode and once i saw mastercheif take off his helmet i knew this show wasnt halo 😂😂😂
Thank. God. This was arguably my favorite IP since it came out, read all the books, played all the games, and have watched it totally fall from grace in literally 20 years. This show was the cherry on top of the crap sundae they were serving up.
Actually I'm one or them. I get it, show was whack but I didn't mind it. Not like we're gonna see Cortana and master chief In a new game ever again. It was honestly just entertaining to have on while I did other things. I mean as long as they don't cancel twisted metal I guess I'll survive
@@keeganpenney169 I think that’s a big part of the issue: these studios are spending hundreds of millions on TV shows that are background noise for people scrolling social media or doing chores. If your show us so low-effort that it gets described as such, you’re spending waaaaay too much on it
Given that the ideology that these "writers" subscribe to on a personal level is by it's very nature propelled forward by self-invalidating reasonings, it stands to reason that they would have no respect for canonicity. They would simply consider canon as one more set of rules that can be invalidated as long as they can substitute their own set of rules based on the whims and fancy of the activism-du-jour they can leech funding from.
Halo TV series? What is this you speak of? Is that the “Master Cheeks” show from a few years back that people talked about? Never watched it. Never will.
Hollywood studios want a franchise like Halo because they have a built-in fan base. The writers and directors do not want to make franchise films. Nowadays that's the only work that's available. I believe that the writers and directors are attacking the fan base of popular franchises on purpose. They are ignoring the source material on purpose. It's a form of rebellion against the system.
I really enjoyed the Robot Chicken episodes of HALO. They know and love the game enough to make good inside jokes for fans. Disney should let Seth do a Star Wars show for realsies.
@PlasticLid-wq6md Well, no. I've not really played ANY. I watched a bunch of videos and have about 10 hours in Fallout 76. So, you've got me there. You win. But, even if I'm wrong about the tone, that doesn't automatically make the show "crap." I understand that's an opinion, and we don't have to agree. I'm good with that. More importantly, there are adaptations that are nothing like or deviate strongly from the source and are great. The Starship Troopers movie is the first example I can think of. Have a nice day.
@@anthonykent00 i apologize, i did not mean that as an insult. however i do make my case that i was able to guess that by your statement lol. it completely destroys lore from f1 -2 and nv. let alone the characters motives and plot are completely nonsensical
I'm not understanding here? Are we trying to say we shouldn't have new content and just let it be what it was? This is entertainment and to continue the entertainment new stories have to be created. Very much like episode 1 and so on. Please, someone explain to me what we're complaining about? I'm not saying the writing is great, it's not, but where would they get new content for entertainment if it wasn't from legends?
Making a comment to support my favorite channel(s), lost interest in Star Wars a long time ago. Lore and cannon does matter greatly, couldn’t agree more.
6:23 so in my mind the whole midichlorians thing is the Jedi moving away from the force/spiritual side and getting it all backwards, using the G’kar’s analogy form Babylon 5 they see the light of god behind then casting its light on the wall and they see their own shadow and thing that god looks just like them only in the Jedi’s case it’s they see the midichlorians and think they are responsible for how the force works when in fact midichlorians are they equivalent of antibodies in someone’s blood when they encounter a virus, the antibodies aren’t what makes the virus they get made because the virus is there, the midichlorians aren’t what makes the force they are how life reacts to the force been there, the stronger the force is the higher the midichlorian count will be. The midichlorians build up in a persons body as they use the force making the use of it easy, this explains why at first Luke can bearly do anything but goes on to be as strong as he is, Anakin has already been using the force passively for years when he was found if he was a normal kid he would sadly have been killed long ago.
You know, this is really quite impressive: Disney first insists on creating a new canon and then cannot even stick to what they themselves established. Although, I think for once, I put all the blame on Lesley for this one.
3:15 wouldn’t that you know melt her hand? We have only seen like 2 people in canon block a lightsaber with their hands (sorry 3 I forgot that Ezra also did it) satele shan Revans Granddaughter and the other been Darth Vader, I mean Palpatine May have also done it but I can’t remember seeing it.
Didn’t they say I relationship to this show and why Anakin’s Crystal didn’t get bleed that you have to be torching it with your skin? You know that thing that she dosnt do in the show!
It also goes against Old Republic where there was hundreds, if not thousands of Sith, and we're supposed to believe that after how hard it was for Vader to bleed his crystal, we're now supposed to believe that all those acolytes and apprentices were given crystals and made them bleed any easier?
Is this series worth watching? I’ve held off until I see the community reviews come in and it’s not looking good. Early feedback sounded great but now it’s been sounding like it’s ehhhh
I found Kenobi to be far worse. The Acolyte is using original characters, so they aren't ruining *as* much as the Kenobi show, but I am not sure I would call The Acolyte good. It's in a weird grey area of somehow being the least offensive to me but the Finale still sucks. One of my friends loved Acolyte and even *he* found the Finale dumb.
Star Wars used to be a thing nerds loved and other people liked. But Disney wants everyone to love it, and that's just not always possible without betraying the nerds, because we loved it for very basic reasons. For the plots, the good and evil, and pure principles. Headland is not good enough to make it so everyone to likes it, she made a project for her community using people almost exclusively from the community to tell a story about them. And the original nerd community was discarded. And people didn't like it for politics or gender issues, its just she obviously shot herself on the foot by hiring friends and people with an agenda, added her agenda, and thats what made it unsalvageable. The story sucked because of a trash vision, leadership, and because of nepotism. Its like if the redpill community wanted to be represented in Barbie 2 and they hired a red pill showrunner to hire red pill actors and writers to do Barbie 2. Why the hell would someone do that? the story is for and about feminists to love and the rest to like. But Headlant hogged it and poured all her biased anti men visions into it, and then expected everyone to love it. Sucks for her but no one outside her community even liked it.
