So, it's finally the end of Ripley's adventure on the Sevastopol, time for a dramatic finish... or it would be if I didn't ruin it. Complete death count with breakdown at the end White text - Me/Ripley Green text - Aliens
@@horrificpleasantry9474 "in movie industry". As much as I love the variety that vídeo games presente us, I don't think they sadly match with this list. If we're talking movies-only, I personally think Aliens take the cake as best monsters ever created.
Ripley isn't infected. A Facehugger's attachment, embryo implanting and detaching takes hours (as seen in the first film). If she had been infected, she'd still have it on her face and would have been dead due to the station's destruction long before the implanting would be done. Not only that, other Facehuggers wouldn't try to come after you because you would be already infected.
Your forgetting about alien covenant the facehugger only needed seconds to deposit the xenomorph. It is still highly debated for the time it takes for a xenomorph embryo to fully form and emerge. For example in alien covenant it took not even 30 minutes to an hour or two for a chestburster to fully develop this is actually longer believe it or not than the gestion time in the first avp movie it took like 8 to 10 minutes for the chestburster to fully developed and emerge so the fastest gestation time goes to the first avp .the second longest gestion time definitely goes to the first alien it took approximately 4 or 5 hours or more for the chestburster to fully develop this the same time it took for the chestburster in alien 3 to fully develop it took at least 3 hours depending on version for the ox it was the same exact gestation period as the first alien but strangely it was significantly shorter while inside the dog it took like 2 to 3 hours but in avpr the gestation period was identical to the first alien and the longest gestation period goes to ripley in alien 3 because it took 3 or 4 days since she had a queen gestating in her. So bottom line is the gestation time for a chestburster is not known accurately it mostly depends on how healthy the host is For example it took significantly longer for the xenomorph to gestate inside the scientist guy in alien resurrection due to him having health related issues the gestation time in alien resurrection was at least two and a half hours.
Also we know in Aliens she dies at the age of 67. Burke gives this information about Ripley's daughter (your character in this game) to Ripley in the movie
@@TheGamingDefinition so what's the alien cannon then. It really shouldn't be complicated, there's a few games and comics, then there's the whole alien vs predator which is contrary to both stories. But i don't see why the prequels aren't canon. They ought to be as canon to the original movies as the star wars prequels are to the originals, or the hobbit is to lord of the rings.
Usually a text based commentary wouldn't be funny, but for some reason you pull it off quite nicely. The fact that we can hear you whisper every so often just makes it better. Well done.
14:20 Just IMAGINE being in that situation. Five Xenomorphs surrounding you and the only thing you need to do is a button press. Knowing me, I would TOTALLY press the wrong button and proceed to get mauled. I think the only reason Ripley survived is cause she had the spacesuit on so they couldn’t immediately implant the second mouth thing cause of her visor. And also cause she’s the main character.
Remember the transit system? Nobody's alive to run them and yet they still work. It's because they require no driver or workers. Maintenance is the only people who work on them. The trains are most likely malfunctioning as you say, as Seegson systems run them.
gotta hand it too you man, that was the most entertaining play-through of a game ive ever watched, humour was good, not too repetitive, the gameplay was good, and honestly smart, (smart because even big youtubers find it so difficult too play some games and it gets very irritating too watch) ive subbed for sure and look forward too more videos, good job
I SO agree here! It was very entertaining and even though I know I'd hate this game if I ever played it myself, these videos made it quite a nice experience!!
me to love the series but the game its not my style dont like hide and seek now compbine this with colonian marines and whould be all over it sory for my english
It was overall smart gameplay... but he suffered a serious case of shit to the brains when he had to resort to molotovs for a bit, and it was hilarious!
Love this game. Played in the dark after miss and kid went to sleep when into a deep gaming mong zone. My son walks up behind me like a ninja and taps my shoulder just a xeno jumps out. I literally shit myself! Dam kids
Some facehuggers live for a litte bit after implanting the chestburster in a host they will run somewhere nearby to hide a good example is the first alien.
@@orsonlepherd7064 As far as we know. Weyland Yutani probably covered it up. In canon they have covered up most xenomorph survival story's and destroyed any evidence that indicates the presence of xenomorphs this would be a prime example. they find an infected host make up a cause of death so they can have a xenomorph to experiment on. Still amanda would have to have a chestburster in her because the aliens did not attack her if she didn't Weyland Yutani would've just left her floating there. It was also never revealed who saved her at the end of alien isolation (in the comics they did) it is highly likely it was Weyland Yutani i mean who would go to an old retired space colony without a very good reason Weyland Yutani obviously because it had xenomorphs on it so it must be Weyland Yutani who knows maybe Weyland Yutani even knew about the xenomorphs and set them up so they could retrieve a specimen i may be wrong but this one highly possible outcome. But who knows at this point they already made a sequel alien blackout amanda is clearly alive and well. There are still lots of conflicting facts and possible outcomes, futures. For example If she did get infected they probably just removed it so that might explain how she died from cancer it could've been the placenta left by the chestburster when it was removed that eventually killed her in the long run she might of never been aware she was infected in the first place since facehuggers sometimes make there host forget what happened to them while the chestburster is being created they probably told her she passed out or something and somehow got the xeno out of her and got rid of the surgical scars.
@@johnpeterson3384 there's a mobile sequel to the game explaining that it was a random ship that picked up Amanda, and that an alien got on board and killed almost everyone. It takes place over many hours, none of which she is chestbursted in. Alien Isolation needed to end, so of course it seems a little odd that the xenomorphs didn't attack her. The reason is, I think, because in the first Alien film, the xenomorph allows Ripley to escape, and sneaks aboard her escape pod because it knew that that was its only chance of escape. The xenomorphs aboard Sevastopol knew that they had to allow Amanda to give them an escape route, however they underestimated her cunning. This is backed up by the fact that at least one xeno boarded the Torrens by crawling across the damaged docking clamps, which would have been a very dangerous move (as it was being twisted by gravity) so the other xenos opted for a safer route. Yes, Wey-Yu could have covered it up, but that wasn't in the cards when they made Aliens, and honestly it shouldn't be now, no matter how ambiguous the ending of Isolation is.
Didn't have high hopes for this game when it first come out as I still had the bitter aftertaste of Colonial Marines hanging around but boy was I wrong. The look and sound of the game was gorgeous (especially on a big tv with a home cinema sound system) and the atmos was at times pants wettingly terrifying (especially when played in the dark with the tv as the only illumination). That ending's made me hungry for a follow up as I want to know who's about to rescue Amanda (I know she's also a Ripley, but there's only one 'Ripley' in my book haha)
Gotta say that you make the game seem funny from time to time. I just got it and was browsing through videos and saw one of the earlier vids and you got me hooked.
Thanks for the play through! I was really engrossed in the videos and watched a big chunk of them like it was a movie -- even though I've never played the game personally. I've got to hand it to the developers, this really was a well designed game. And your game play was excellent.
I’ve loved all your play through of this, you’ve brought some levity and humour to what is a very tense game. Great job 👏👏👏I’m currently playing this and now I’m scared going forward lol 😆
This game is amazing, but you made it even better with such simple commentary. I jumped, I giggled and got the full experience of your playthrough. Well done and thank you.
Because of you, I decided to buy this game. One thing I've noticed, you seem to have to rely on sounds a lot for this game. I am deaf, so this is going to be a lot of fun!
Your comment got my real curious what this game would be like without being able to hear anything - even just rewatching some of these videos muted was making me really anxious, so you might be in for a rough ride haha. The game goes hard on the good sound design to tell you things like if the alien goes in/out a vent, so without that you'll probably get surprised a few times. But I would still recommend it, it's a great game. Hope you show that alien who's boss.
@@Kukakkau Playing it now. I got the woojer strap on which vibrates when there's noises. I've picked up on the alien's heavy footsteps and when he's getting closer or farther away. A couple of times I had a weird vibration and I checked the radar to see he's in the vents. But he's gotten me at least 5 times now. First time, never knew he was there. No vibration, nothing. Suddenly I was dead. He snuck up on me lol
Wow, this game scares the crap out of me, but i like what you did, and somewhat did it a bit less scary. Most of the time i was watching, i almost ended up laughing because of the music when you burned the alien, or all the written across the entire gameplay. Well done, and have a great day.
Just finished watching everything. I have to say this was a very nice playthrough with the added commentary and music :D. Sometimes i watch some playthroughs and browse the internet, but with you i just had to keep watching so i did not miss any comments. really liked it, thank you!
This was alot of fun watching you play the game. Definitely not something I'll play myself but worth watching through if that makes sense. Keep up the good work!
I've never noticed that the aliens actually circle you O-O Also the ending of this game is kinda confusing for the canon. They say in Aliens she lives to be 80. The ending seems to indicate she was saved but...Wouldn't Waylend Yutami(or however it's spelled) not want her to live? Considering she knows everything...Makes me rethink Aliens and that they told Ripley a lie.
Sounds like they either decided not to stir this anymore when she came back and probably didn´t tell everyone her story...or they wanted to leave room for a sequel that explains it.
The developers obviously left the ending ambigious, but as for the movie, I dont think the company was telling Ripley the truth, and the photo of the elderly Amanda was probably just some random old lady. Unless there is a sequel game, I think Amanda died there and then.
Isn't it nice of the Alien, that it had enough time to get all her equipment and weapons as well when it captured her? You know what I liked about Half Life? When the marines captured Gordan Freeman, he lost all of his weapons.
CrniWuk From the looks of it, she already had her stuff on her, and the alien may be intelligent but it doesn't know how technology works nor how any of this stuff works- it likely just would ignore any of the stuff Ripley is carrying. Meanwhile the Soldiers confiscate Gordon's stuff because they know it is all deadly and can be used against them... And that they could likely use it.
Those Alien Isolation videos are now my treasure, it will company me for the rest of my life. Watching you playing it was such a healing and it’s also what motivated me to step into game design! I hope I can make something that makes you come back!
I like how you give a little story to your gameplay like, looking around and nodding, not just playing The game. Good job! Expect to see more content!!
It would be scary if xenomorphs could propel themselve in space like an eel threw water. and when they come into view you can see their mouth moving but in space you can't hear them screech so all you feel and hear is your heart pounding as they slowly wiggle their way to the outside of your spaceship.and then they disappear from view.theres a moment of silence.and then the tension is broken when they finally attach to your spaceship and you know this because you hear a a big bang which can only come from the outside of your craft. and then reality snaps and the games begins.
I so fucking loved this game..my GOTY 2014...managed to complete it on hard difficulty after a few rage quits...just loved everything about it..except the last bit of the chapter your doing now..the last cut scene is terrible...but hopefully we will be getting a sequel..?? oh & fuck doing nightmare mode there's an achievement where you have to complete the whole game without dying ""how the hell can someone do that""...??? please I want the sequel out in 2017!!!
Amanda doesn't die, she's only unconscious. At the very last second you can see her reacting to the light: she's rescued. Apart from that, In Aliens Director's Cut, Ellen Ripley, her mother, is informed her daughter died by natural causes at the age of 66.
Well, so she was informed by the company. Weyland-Yutani was known to lie for gain on several occasions, just look at Burke. Though I personally also believe Amanada is alive (at least at this point), let's assume for the sake of the argument she indeed died/got impregnated by a facehugger. In that case I think Wey-Yu would lie to Ellen about her daughters true cause of death because if she found out that Amanda died with a Xenomorph bursting through her chest, she probably wouldn't have agreed to go to LV426.
Dragonfyre137 Yes, that makes sense. From WY point of view at this point is that, they sent the Nostromo to LV426 to get whatever was there, but the ship just dissappeared. Then they are informed that the Nostromo's black box has been found and it is in Sevastopol, so they send another team to know what happened, but the station is destroyed and nobody survives, except Amanda, who is the only one who could know the truth, which is something WY is willing to kill for. Does she fake a memory loss and pretend to know nothing until she dies by natural causes, or will she try to reveal the truth and get killed?
That's all even better than I initially thought. Well, I somehow believe that he most elegant solution plot wise would be to have Amanda get killed in a sequel, either by a Xenomoroph or by WY and the company lying to Ellen about her death. Otherwise, as you implied, one might wonder what Amanda did for the remainder of her life and unless we wan't a full feature film about exactly that, there's no other way around it. Her survival to a certain point of course does add a nice facette, because if she got in touch with WY it means they knew about the Alien when they found Ellen. It would tie in really nicely to Alien 2.
Dragonfyre137 I personally think that if WY had got the info from Amanda, they would have found the LV426 derelict and the alien much before the events in Aliens. Much before they build human colonies in LV426 and much before Ellen is rescued.
These were great vids and funny commentary! I just completed it.. was an experience! Very surprised how good this game is and how well it was made... genuinely scary moments/stress full time. Graphics and detail design just amazing. Really did the films justice. Was definetly a different game in the way of hiding most of the time but works. Only downside was having to go back and forth to switch buttons all the while crapping it plus no pulse rifles but honestly very happy to have this gaming experience.
c'mon, like that train approached you without making absolutely ANY sound..... That's not how trains/monorail stuff sound (even if it was a maglev type thing on magnets, it still makes some sort of sound)
5:39?? that train you talking?, well, just stand in the corner of a house an try to hear the car getting close, and you will see how sound works and how well this train part was maded.
MyJONY13 I know about how sound waves travel; I produce music & did a Berklee Course online on "Digital sound design" lol -1st lesson in the curriculum was on sound amplitude and propagation. And the sound would reflect off the walls a bit; Like you're in the subway and there isn't COMPLETE SILENCE if you stand after a corner, come on! Cuz the game scene was presented as such for the jump scare. A train makes more noise than a car, dont'cha think?
Amazing play through. Enjoyed every minute of it. I have this game but no way I can bring myself to play it - watching Aliens at 10 scarred me for life. Subbed!
Very good longplay, gave me a lot of scares and laughts!!! I think you weren´t atacked in this last chapter because you were infested, in aliens 3 that happened with his mother! keep on gaming!
Amanda died from old age when she was 66 yo. If this game is canon then she didn't gen infested. Also when she wake up, there was one unopened egg, so maybe it was for her.
Legionvx Or it could be she got inpregnated and then she was saved with surgery. As you say she dies of cancer later in life canonically, so either one could be true
That's an interesting theory, but the timescale doesn't really match up. Kane was out for hours after the facehugger dropped off him in Alien, and the Sevastapol clearly doesn't have that long. The nearest egg to Ripley never opens; maybe the nearby fire slow-cooked it to death.
thx for nice moment with this playlist videos guy ! i very like alien, but i never take motivation for play to isolation, so that was nice to see u, with u humour texts funny notes =) i hope to see u on Resident evil 7 playlist !
Kukakkau great job on Alien Isolation for completing the game for Amanda Ripley next is the next chapter for another Alien series game for the next future to come.I al most beat the game, but next time I will.
I love how 1st of all: The Aliens are able to survive in open space. I guess they forgot how cold it is in space and how there's no oxygen? 2nd: The Aliens hop around the platforms as if they have their own gravity...which is definitely not true since they are in SPACE.
The Alien's body is made to be a space suit of sorts. The giant dome that covers their head covers the encased 'skull' inside, which you can see is actually the alien head inside it (which looks humanoid in shape). The alien was designed to survive most extreme environments, including the vacuum of space.
You know it's interested they didn't attack Ripley at the end. Though just coincidentally, aliens might not attack a human whose been impregnated by a facehugger...
