Ripley returns to the medbay to attempt to get the doctor's passcode for Dr Kuhlman. However the resident alien, Vlad is determined to make life difficult.
I wish there was a use of analog joystick to close the locker door gently, so it make less and less noise when closing... So, if you dont take care of closing the door gently, youre fucked
Yeah, whose brilliant idea was it to design vents that a larger than an adult Human creature could crawl through!? Do serial killers not exist in that universe or something? What about illicit substance smugglers? You know, the people who'd totally use such out of the way dark paths if they were available!? I guess something can be said for vents that large being easy on maintenance personnel...
Oziel Souza I put headphones on and was alone in the dark with the volume a bit too high. That's how I watch horror playthrough's, I don't know about yourself but everyone is different at getting scared and about twice I was genuinely scared/jump scared during this playthrough and this was easily the one that got me the most!
well, i got fooled, i crouched my way through the game and was too stupid to use noisemakers so i always waited or in worst case: flamethrower, i also always had (still do) 500/500 fuel. now, i dont spend time in lockers so much anmore because i read that if the motion tracker says the alien is at least 70 meters away, you can stand up and walk and so you can do stuff quickers and avoid the alien. its risky tho yes
Why are Kukkakau’s “Alien Isolation” videos the best? The commentary!!! My wife keeps asking me “What are you laughing at? I thought that game was supposed to be scary!”
Damn. I hated San Cristobal Med Facility so much. Narrow corridors, very few places to hide, corpses everywhere and that Xeno constantly breathing on your neck.
That’s what you should of been doing in the first place, you don’t crouch, you walk and then crouch when the alien is close. As far as sprinting, well you better do it only when you need to desperately
MH player It depends on the proximity and the type of surroundings. Walking is of course louder and the alien will hear you definitely if you walk when it’s close, crouching makes less noise. You listen to the details and absorb, that’s when you know if it’s safe to walk or crouch. But walking is still immensely more quieter than sprinting of course, so walk when the alien isn’t close and it doesn’t have sight of you. You should not crouch all the time, if anything you should walk more, but crouching is necessary at times
Well running is reserved for areas where the alien ain't. Because if he's in that location you signed your death warrant. If it sees you and you chose to run you might as well restart the save/checkpoint. Tbh the only thing you should make a beeline for is an elevator and you had better be within four feet at least.
This is one of those games where you watch someone play and you're like: "Why are they freaking out? iT'S NO BIG DEAL, BRUH!" But then you actually play the game and your entire vocabulary goes out the door as you either say one of five things: "IS HE GONE??? PLEASE TELL ME HE'S GONE!" "I WANNA GO HOME!" "NO NO NO NO FUCKFUCKFUCK!" "GODDAMN ANDROIDS!!!" "NOT THE VENTS! NOT THE VENTS!" Yeah.... This game is basically Stress Simulator 3000. (love that Sonic X reference by the way. Subscribed!)
Am I the only one who prefers the alien IN the vents? :D It scared me shit out every time he left them and it was like the coast is clear when he entered the vents
I walked on Hard and Nightmare. There is no reason to crouch when he is in the vents. ^_^ But I did start playing this game sneaking everywhere. I was overly cautious. If you stay in one place too long, he just keeps sticking close.
@Seph That's where I decided to walk, and seriously when I got out of the locker, if I bent over and moved, it would get closer, but it would only move away when I walked.
@@redsquarejay The biggest difference is your survival rate, the alien's vision increases when you play in the nightmare difficulty, it easily notices you when you are hiding in corners, apart from that, there is also the full work of its artificial intelligence can understand that you are constantly hiding in the same place and he randomly checks the hiding places in the environment, for sure you cannot prevent it by holding your breath It starts to collect data seriously to kill you
Him: "This room wasn't on map" Me: You're not updating your map! Those glowing white angle squares? Those panels update your map, dude. Even Markiplier missed those....
Room A29 bruh, A29 :D also, you need to update your map on those bright terminals in the corridor. Anyway, great videos and great commentary. Your comments are hilarious
By the 2nd to 3rd playthrough you realize lockers are always a last resort, I almost always die in a locker, meanwhile leaning behind a box in the middle of a hallway, flawless.
Facts for noobs, the reason why he got screwed in the lockers is because of the tracker, alien can hear the beep too. Also when hiding in lockers and small lockers, press s or the joystick down to move back. You will see the full tracker. The times when it is moving too fast that it even crosses you is because it is running in the vents. It can move freely in the lockers as if there are no vent... Well, yes there are no vents tbh. Last thing, new players shouldn't know this but Alien always know where you are. Yes, always. Reason behind is is if it will not it will be an easy game like outlast - a predictable game. You know how the AI works in that game, right? Shitty AI for a great game... Coming back to the alien, the game gives your position to alien but not the correct position. It will never know where you are exactly. You already know the reason for that. Other than thatI really recommend this game. If you like fps, horror, and survival - you should definitely check this game. It is actually as easy as csgo to run on your 3-5 year old pc with graphics tho. Try it mann
Correct me if I’m wrong but there are two AI’s the director and the alien the director tells the alien where you are in a general area but the alien has no clue exactly where you are it is programmed to hunt you pretty much the same thing you said now that I think about it
@@Elgallo1107 Indeed. There is only one alien. For example in Outlast, there are certain points you get international chase scenes by Chris Walker. After a certain time it gets annoying rather than scary! That changed with Alien Isolation, their intension was that alien can hear your every step and all which triggers the alien to chase you and find you. That's hard mann
1) Maps are your friends. Those glowing white squares fill your map info out. 2) You missed at least two save stations because you apparently hate exploring. 3) That being said, loved the video!
there was a glitch where i was in the locker and the alien would just stand in front of it not moving like he knew i was in there i was forced to just accept death and exit the spot and die >:(
I love coming back to watch your videos every now and then....I actually really enjoy the "text on the screen" thing, I find it to be more intense/immersive. Like when you've got people yelling bloody murder at the screen and can't hear the audio, or when they make it a point to just blab on incessantly. Your text is entertaining and quite funny; I always find myself giggling or snickering a few times at the jokes (for example, when the Xenomorph grabs Dr. Kuhlman and you put ":D" like that makes me smile lol. Thanks for the larfs, and I'm glad you enjoyed this...it's my absolute favorite video game of all time!!
Same here! But i think this guy left his Channel not knowing that he invented a new kind of walkthrough, and how much it was good at it.. Kukkakau is the John Kennedy Tool of the RU-vid Game, in a less tragic way..
Never name something you're going to kill or that is trying to kill you 🤣, now I know he's hunting you but he's still cute little Vlad that likes his vents
A common misconception about the motion tracker.I tested it on nightmare. The only time the xenomorph can hear your tracker is when you’re hiding in lockers (which in nightmare you ll be spotted 90% of the time either way)If you are hiding in other places or behind objects it needs to see you in order to spot you(or by making noise with your guns or jack).I had the motion tracker open in other areas just to test if it ll come, and even in late game when it becomes more aggressive,it won’t seem to follow the noise of the motion tracker.Maybe we think it does because it plays in a very small radius around us.Don’t forget that the director AI shows the Xeno where to look.
Okay, I may have genuinely had more fun watching this than you had playing. Loved the captions and the elevator music in the lockers was a great touch.
I know this video is old but if most of your walkthroughs are like this you have my sub for sure. I hate commentary but the written captions are wonderful.
Still come back time to time to revisit this playthrough. No obnoxious yelling and overreacting, the idea of having to read the commentary let's the atmosphere keep it's spook, and it's fucking hilarious.
I called my xeno hunter because he would dissappear from time to time and the a pear from fucking nowhere like a ghost and he would sometimes stick his head through the walls
Joana The Dummy my favorite theory is that they can literally smell your fear because they are able to detect human brain waves. Which is why they don’t mess with androids as much and a few comics from the extended universe support it as well.
Fam they use echolocation in the game, turn up you volume all way and tussle with the the alien a bit and start hiding, you can very faintly hear his clicking noise, just don't move whenever he does that and he can't spot you, unless you are too close, then he can see you
I kept yelling at you that you hadn't gone far enough right, down the corridor to find the keycard but you never heard me, LOL. The elevator music was hilarious. I love this game but the noisy lockers and cabinets drive me crazy. It is totally possible to open a locker quietly in the real world and I'm sure not goign to slam the door when trying to be stealthy quiet. What they should have done is have some lockers that are broken and noisy and you wouldn't know till you opened them. I learned to do without them because they are almost always an auto death sentence on the higher difficulties.
Lol I know you post this years ago but this was such a fun to watch video! I’ve just recently got this game and found this part hard to play too 🥲 I kept looking at the video play time and I thought you were going to cut out the last scene but you didn’t haha
Lol man so nice. Always I get frightened when I see or play this game but with your memes and funny parts it’s just so nice xd. And that glad you named him XDDD nice
the noise from the traker makes the alien know where you are baced on the noise it makes making it impossible for you ro keep it out when your in the locker
