You supposed to only crouch when the alien is really near, and standing up wherever you leave him behind to make distance from him faster. You not supposed to think "if the alien appears", instead you must think "when the alien appears" and make your strategy with that in mind. If you fail, you just try again or change your strategy. Otherway you just would take forever to complete the game.
@@angeldust9879 They're on a space station. The shotgun uses a low-velocity system so that it doesn't cause a hull breach or otherwise damage a sensitive system. At the same time, it does very little damage to the xeno.
@@chexblu The original movie is my favourite movie of all time , and this game was the closest thing I’ll ever get to watching Alien again for the first time , it’s awesome
I watched this video at 3 am in headphones, and the volume was set to 40. And, oh my God, at the moment 1:11 my heart squeezed from the run of a stranger, as if I were in the place of this character and was about to die..this was really scary.
@@addydiesel6627 Haha it’s a truly thrilling game , my favourite movie of all time is the original Alien , so this game was a dream come true & exceeded every exception had for it A masterpiece, and the best thing to come out of the franchise since Aliens in 86 ( not including the comics ... some of those are absolutely amazing )
Glad they made my child very smart and learn her enemy moves when you keep using flamethrower she will slowly learn and never run away from it glad loved that we have emotions like fear and anger they should add an Alien story to play as Xenomorph to take revenge on Weyland
Xenomorph:Found ya Player:Do not celebrate yet *Player proceeds to shotgun him in face* Xenomorph:WHAT WAS THAT Player:Gotta hide Xenomorph:IM GONNA KILL YOU MERCILESSLY FOR THAT Player:This room seems okay *Uses EO* *Hides under a desk* *EO deactivates* Xenomorph:WHERE ARE YOU HUMAN Player:GO AWAY GO AWAY GO AWAY *Xenomorph proceeds to leave the room* Player:Phew
I haven’t touched this game in so long because I was doing one of the DLCs. Just started it and the Alien scared the living daylights out of me and killed me. I nope’d out of the game so fast. I absolutely adore this game. It’s really good playing on a 5.1 surround sound system too. Those Alien footsteps thumping from the subwoofer.
Addy Diesel Hey I’m sorry I didn’t write back. I Was busy yesterday!! No its ok I’m just curious because I’m not a fan of the DLC Mode, but that’s just me😊 I do love the main campaign though! That’s why I was wondering if you’ve played both or just Survivor Mode. Lol
Tracker reders to the direction of the Alien at that snap second, whether on the ground or the vents. Sometimes you gotta keep going your way hoping it's worth it 🙄
You are one of the best players I've seen. It's a pleasure to watch good players. On the other hand, it's painful to watch imbeciles play Alien: Isolation. And I have seen plenty of those too. lol
Lol Markpliers playthrough? I was literally yelling at my computer screen, “Stop running! Turn your fuckin flashlight off!” while watching him. It was bad. ... but then I watched him play Resident Evil 7 and between him missing items right in front of his face and his piss poor inventory management, it’s even worse. I had to stop watching. So I feel your pain of watching a true noob. It’s rough.
@@MrSoccerball100 Lol oh dude. You're in for a good one. Marky Pliers will have one open inventory slot left during a boss fight and he still just spams the pick up button and ends up filling that one available slot with something that doesn't even remotely help him in that moment, blocking the inventory slot from possibly picking up something he does need; like health or ammo. It's a good time. Infuriating, but hilarious.
@@Ward413 I’m not a gamer at all. Is this guy trying to be funny with his play or is he just really bad? Either way I still find him hilarious though I’m not sure what he’s doing.
Excuse me, i never play this game before. But if you dont mind , i have question about this game : Where is the pulse rifle? Where is the smart gun? Why need to run if we can blast those xenos with our weapon ?
@@corinthusresa745 yeah its based on the original version, where youre hopelessly outmatched against a primal killer, its actually realistic unlike that god awful blow em up movie that james cameron released, hes the reason why the alien franchise died, bc they wanted to replicate THAT feel, not what Alien was really about.
@@logangoose hmm i see. So no pulse rifle no smartgun. Then we have no choice but to play the game while shit or pissed our pants cause those xenos keep chasing on us...ty for info
The alien is walking back and forth in front of the door as if it knows you are in there and want to use the door. I have come across this kind of unrealistic time-wasting nonsense far too often in this game, to the point that the amount of fun per unit of time elapsed becomes much lower than in most other games, IMHO.
Yes exactly time wasting . Hope my series of videos will help u players to rebel against Alien's behaviour and be bold enough to play more freely and get shooting (and outrunning)
If you feel like you are wasting your time maybe this game is not for you, for me being pacient and waiting for the right moment to get off your cover to complete the objectives was parte of the fun.
@@hanarielgodlike9283 Fair enough. My first game was Thief back in 1999 and I got hooked on stealth games in a big way. I replay Thief and Dishonored every few years or so, but this game just doesn't do it for me, sadly.
More fire power please... I know games are different nowdays, more strategy involved. But there should be a mode where you can run around blowing them up. God mode.
I totally agree. What spoils a good game is that lack of eventual satisfaction when you find that redeemer, rail-gun or at least minigun. It's important in films even. Minigun one of the things that made Matrix 1 movie such a success
I hate how there is a timer so you can't spend lots of time sneaking around and searching. I've completed the game several times but didn't finish those missions that are not part of the game
Survivor mode has been designed to be hard. Hence there is no map. The timer is for scoring and creating competitiveness. Initially these levels are intimidating. Once you learn ur way around, you will feel better. Have a look at my corporate Lockdown video. It's a different story in itself ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--dI4TRMHStg.html
@@addydiesel6627 Okay, thanks for the answers. I’m a completionist type gamer, so I have to get everything and explore everywhere as I go and as I can. And I’ve not played this game. I think it’s a kool game and I like to watch videos. But the fact that you can’t ever kill the alien and it’s just this constant threat chasing and hunting you while you struggle with survival mechanics stresses me out. That’s not why I play. The closest I have played was Days Gone, that was epic. But usually I’m all about magic or fantasy rpgs. I’m on Assassins Creed Valhalla at the moment, and doing dlc for Avengers while waiting for Horizon Forbidden West and ACV: Dawn of Ragnorak to come out!
@@Thedeepesttruth Annoying not to be able to kill the Alien. True. This is exactly what inspired me and created this channel. My aim is to humiliate the Alien by shooting and running as much as possible
The only thing I don’t understand about this game is why they make the alien invincible but also give you weapons that are shown in the movies to be effective against the alien if you land a good shot. That shotgun blast square into its body should have taken it out of commission..
They're on a space station. The shotgun uses a low-velocity system so that it doesn't cause a hull breach or otherwise damage a sensitive system. At the same time, it does very little damage to the xeno.
The Alien has a big stride which enables it to move quickly when it has lost interest in its current surroundings. Conversely, when investigating, it is much slower, and sometimes it is easy to assume this is normal speed but it's not. Investigating is much slower.
aside from what addy said, the xeno has a really damn long tail too. to the point that when you're hiding in small rooms (like the one in the timestamp), if you can only see the tip of the xeno's tail under a table, she's already in another room
You get a pistol before the full alien reveal, and you get the shotgun after you return to the station after getting ejected in the Gemini labs module.
My problem with this game is that it's basically the exact opposite of the aliens films, with the alien stomping about while you hide. It really should have been a inversion of a stealth game, where you are the big stompy bastard who is calling himself beacuse the alien could be hiding right in front of you, but you won't know until it bites your whole body off. As it stands it just felt like a outlast clone with a xenomorph skin slapped on top..
