The challenge: Complete Mission 6
I guess it took me about 50 tries... That's what I call hardcore ;)
- Nightmare difficulty
- Additionally "Insane AI Mod" (increased view, hearing, AI and damage caused by the enemies of the game)
- No Tracker
- No Tools (OK - but the Android is just annoying)
- No Saving
I cut after the explosion - the rest is just boring climbing

This is just like the mod says Insane. Fockin love it, I mean it's stressfull to watch but amazing nonetheless.

Love the Insane AI mod, but it seems like it cuts off some the Alien's kill noises. Anybody else notice it at 14:32?

I found out recently it's most likely a refresh rate issue, rates higher than 60 cause it to happen

Did you ever complete the game like this? I am trying but after 50+ deaths, i'm only a few chapters ahead of this part.

I truly believe that after plying this game your reflexes become sharper and more alerts, almost like a brain stumilating exercise. People whose mind is in decline should play it. An EEG before and after should be performed. There ought to be a cognitive gain after this experience, especially on Nightmare Mode.

Why do you never use the motion detector ? Does it alert the alien ?

The alien only hears the motion detector when it is very close.... But why use something you don't need? I have a very good sound card and headphones. Since the acoustics in the game is more important than any gadget...

What I don't get is the braveness required to walk ten steps without using it. I can't. I need to know at all times where that damn thing is.
