The latest Insider Video, “The Cast of Alien”, sees academy award nominated and golden globe winner actress, Sigourney Weaver (Ellen Ripley), Veronica Cartwright (Lambert), Harry Dean Stanton (Brett), Tom Skerritt (Dallas) and Yaphet Kotto (Parker) reveal further details of their return in Alien: Isolation.
With tantalising snippets of in-game footage, behind-the-scenes moments in the recording booth and Alien nostalgia, “The Cast of Alien” is an exciting prelude to what awaits you in Crew Expendable.
Players will be able to explore the Nostromo from habitation deck down through to engineering as they race to escape the terror that confronts them from within the depths of the ship.
Crew Expendable and the full length game of Alien: Isolation will be playable from October 7th, 2014.

Jason Vorhees Except they didn't have Ian Holmes (Asch) and John Hurt (Caine) in it. I guess they were busy making another film when they were making this game at the time. Both Ian Holmes and John Hurt are very busy.

I cannot express how much I love this game and how mad I am about never getting the recognition it deserves. You can tell the game was made with love and dedication, you can tell they put so much work into everything. I cannot think of a single aspect of this game that is lacking. Music is phenomenal, inmersion and ambiance is AMAZING, the art style is the same as the original alien movie with that retro futurist style and, most of all, the game is fucking scary as shit. I will never forget this game. SO GOOD.

Completely agree with you. I saw ALIEN as a child, and my nightmares from that time seemed like moments from the game. This childhood flashback was what grabbed me and terrified me as soon as I started playing😬 P.S. The sound FX and sound design are another character in the game.

After playing this game, ive realized these developrs got the Alien version down better than the makers of prometheus lol. This game actually felt like it was part of the same universe as alien and aliens.

lunatiksAlterEgo I agree. Prometheus suppose to take place what 100 years prior to the first move I think? And look at their technology looks new. At least with the game they kept the same 80's tech from the movie which was incorporated into the game. But no Prometheus places future technology into a time line that takes place WAY before the first movie. That director should be shot and never make another movie ever again. They have no vision.

It doesn't matter that, it was directed by the same person. In fact it makes it worse in my opinion. Prometheus was an awful film, and held no stylistic resemblance to the first and second films what so ever.

Wriph You could have the same person directing it but you cannot deny seeing that prometheus was no where close to being a PREQUAL to Alien. No where. He lost his charms when directing this monstrosity.

+hhds113 Hit the nail on the head mate. One of the things that shocked me most was that this was a Ridley Scott film! I dont know how you can go from creating a film such as Alien, to directing a film like Prometheus. Yes the advent of digital technology hasn't helped in keeping the same stylistics as the original, but its just shocking. I hate the Prometheus film, and all its added visual fidelity, and by comparison, the original still looks more convincing

LEGENDS - all of them. But... Sniff.. I am so sad in a way that the Man.. The Myth.. The Genius himself.. H.R. Giger wasn't here to see this. =_( I just KNOW that he would have LOVED to see it & would have worked with the Dev Team in creating new environments n' stuff. Alien was the film that got the closest to his vision. *I would like to ask everyone who loved H.R. Giger's art to thumbs this up in recognition to his work*. He made the ALIEN be as scary as the imagination itself. Without his vision, none of this would have been possible. The man literally designed FEAR.

Alien Isolation is the most faithful adaptation of the Alien universe that I've ever seen or played, and not just in the gaming medium. I mean it was more of a faithful adaptation of the universe than even the sequel films themselves, including Aliens, but most certainly Alien 3 and everything that came after it. Aliens was great for it's own reasons, but it didn't have the same style of the original. SEGA and the developers who made Isolation were absolutely determined to get this right and it shows in numerous ways. Their dedication to accuracy, the lore, the atmosphere, the technology, everything. I don't think I've seen so much fan service(and the good kind) in a video game before. I mean the fact they went out and got the original cast to agree to play a role in the making of this game is monumental to me and so unheard of. Surely they had to pay them well, rightfully so, but they pulled it off. Not to mention, Amanda Ripley is one of the most memorable female video game protagonists I can remember.

When I played dead space back in 2008 I thought that game was the scariest game that I have ever played. Until I started playing alien isolation. what makes alien isolation more frightening and Dead Space is that the alien is very intelligent and is actively hunting you. Dead space the monsters are just there.

Dead Space was pretty great, but when I can fight (and beat) the enemies, it isn't as scary, especially when you come out of the learning curve. This game had me scared shitless, sitting in the vent for 20 minutes after the Alien was let loose, in an area it doesn't even patrol. It got better as I got tools, but damn, man. Freaked me out in a way that no movie, haunted house, or even a game ever has.

Dammit, I feel like cryin', I'm actually tearing up. All of the actors from the film I grew up with (Minus Ian Holm, I believe he was busy with something at the time) back together again and recreating the most iconic parts of my childhood. Fuck, why must you guys age? It makes me sad to think about how old they all are now, because none of them are allowed to die, they just can't! I love the game and while it may already be out, I'm happy that so many people were content with the game they were given because you can see the dedication that went into recreating this entire thing in the true spirits of the original.

Just imagine if they started making one in the next couple of years. It'd probably be released around 2020 and have vastly improved graphics and gameplay. Considering Isolation was already fantastic, that means the sequel could be damn near perfect from a playability aspect.

Alien is one of my all time favourite movies! First watched it when I was twelve which was quite a while ago now and it scared the life outta me. Ironically Isolation is the first game since Dead Space that actually made me jump out of my skin a few times lol. Great work Creative Assembly!

I’m playing through this game again, it’s still scary but not as bad as first time round. It has taken me 6 years to pluck up the courage to play again. I have to say, second time round it’s possible to appreciate the environments even more! Hopefully there is a sequel. Unsure how the story will be but this team needs to be the developers. This game is simply amazing

When your game captures the attention of Oscar-winner Sigourney Weaver, as well as the original cast from the original film who did a phenomenal job with their roles, you know you've made something special. Congrats to Sega and Creative Assembly. This game really is one of a kind, and I'm afraid there's going to be nothing else quite as terrifying or well-written for awhile on the market.

He was a WWII veteran and 53 already when Alien was released. When Alien Isolation was released he was 88. At that age the years start to blur and one loses track of details. He maintained his humor all the way to his death aged 91.

Everyone looks almost unrecognisable from what they were in the film, due to age. Apart from Sigourney Weaver. I mean yeah she looks old, but not as different as the others. Not by a long shot xD

+Henry Jackson Tom Skeritt doesn't look that old but I've always known him as the guy on Dallas or TV rather than Alien. Also same with Chuck Norris. EDIT: I got curious to see if any of the cast members have passed and was like, HOLYSHIT, the synthetic was played by Bilbo Baggins! I didn't make the connection, heh. I think John Hurt did not reprise his role for the game? I don't see him there and he's still alive.

+supercooled Well John Hurt was never part of the scripted story so they didn't really need him. I think that was to keep the mystery up more than anything. Besides, it's not cheap to get all these guys together.

With over 700+ hours in this game, I am going to pre-order the sequel to this game if and when it comes out. The Developers who made this game created a great game that stands the test of time and ages like a fine wine. That is really what horrified and gave such an element to the original and that was the immersion. You felt like a passenger like a submissive bystander.
