Dear Alexandra, Congratulations for your great work. Personally, I believe that you should be honored with the highest recognition of the state of Albania from the president of Albania. Hopefully it will happen eventually as you continue doing this great work with the passion you show about Albania and its people. Myself and my family live in Reservoir, Melbourne. My daughter Izabela (10y) loves your programs and you should see what she does when she comes home from school. She goes straight to the TV to watch your next episode. The descendants of scanderbeg live in Italy.! plus after his death, most of his immediate family were given refuge amongst the nobility in Calabria and Naples, his wife Sophia stayed a while in Naples under the protection of the King of Naples, later on moved to Barcelona until her death.! Many of Scanderbegs family became noblemen of Italy and lived amongst royalty. many soldiers of Scanderbeg recieved land and property in Calabria and Sicily and became powerful land owners.. In the 14th century until at least the 17th century Southern Italy was under the control of the Kingdom of Aragon ( SPAIN ) , Southern Italy was known as the kingdom of the two Sicilies, the capitol was Naples.! The republic of Italy was created in 1865 by Garibaldi with the help of many Arbereshe . Many thousand of Arbereshe died in the Unification of Italy of 1865. The Italian mafia started with powerful Arbereshe family power struggles. blood feuds Gjakmarrja or Hakmarrja etc..their code was Besa and Kanun. later they became a powerful criminal organisation thanks to the political climate in Italy the communist movement, corrupt politicians , Mayors, , brigantism , landownership etc

Nice episode, it is amazint what you are doing. I need though to make some corrections. 1. Skenderbeu was half serb from his mother called Mamitsa (Mamica). 2. Until XV century the albanians as part of Byzantine empire, including all other populations within Byzantine empire, were Christian Orthodoks and not Catholics. 3. Skenderbeu was Christian Orthodoks, his mother was Christian Orthodoks (serbian), his 2 brothers were monks in Holy Mount Athos in Greek Orthodox Monastery, and tgey died there. He maried Donika in Monaster of Ardenica in Fier which is a Christian Orthodoks Monastery. I do hope that the guider in Lezha learn her history a bit better.
