it s funny how you fall in love with Albania. I was there 3 times, last time in september last year. After just a week, i made reservations for another trip in june this year :) who knows if we can go, but if it will not be possible in june, I hope at least in september! bless you, people!

I adore you Alexandria. Thank you for your heart warming interpretation of Albania and the people of Albanian. You see, my mom and dad are from Albania. Both immigrated to the US in 67. My family and cousin's travel to Albania just about every other summer. Me? I'm ashamed to say, my first visit to Albania was in March 2019. I would visit European countries with friends , yet, I would dismiss the thought of visiting Albania. Until I made the effort to finally go. Well, once I got there, I was happy and enjoyed my visit immensely. I prefer my privacy soooo, I chose to stay at a hotel instead of Albanian relatives. Good God, the drama and insults I caused for choosing to stay at a hotel instead of family. 😄 So, after 5 days, the family came to my hotel, insisting I pack my bags and stay with them. Did I have a choice? Not a chance.😄 I must say, from any country I've been to, they don't compare to Albania's over the top hospitality. They're warm, effectionate,and most kindest people. The country has it's rough edges but at the same time it's the most organic and beautiful quaint country I've seen. It is indeed a treasure jewel,virgin like country, being explored with surprising hidden treasures. Thanks again, Alexandria OXOX
