This trailer reaction video made me more excited about the film! Thank you for that guys! It looks like Alien is returning to its horror roots, and I couldn't be happier. Let's hope we at least walk out of the theater thinking we just watched a really well-done scary movie. That's enough for me. Keep making content! I love the show!!
According to newly released rumours, the story starts with a spaceship discovering the remains of the first xenomorph from the alien movie. They bring it to the nearest spacestation and extract it for eggs which creates the facehuggers. Then the whole spacestation gets infected and all the humans dies, and leaves a big xenomorph hive behind. When contact is lost with the other spacestations.A spaceship is sendt to investigate. Then a battle breaks out,and only one off the investigators manage to escape. Or did she? In the end we see that she also is infected and she sets the escapepod to self construct, but before that happens, the escape pod lands on a unknown planet with small humanlike beings, but with blue skin. And that makes a cliffhanger for a follow-up movie ?
I don't know what to think about Romulus though. It's probably closer to the first two movies than the two latest movies, and all I can hope for is that it's entertaining and well executed. Fede Alvarez took a really dumb and limited concept for Don't Breathe and somehow turned it into an incredibly tense movie so I hope he can pull it off here too.
So I recently rewatched Alien and it just doesn't hit me like it does for lot of people. It's an incredibly well made movie and at the time must've been mind-blowing, but to me in this day and age, it's just alright as far as the entertainment value goes. With that being said I love Prometheus and Alien Covenant, partly because the production is just incredible, but mainly because of the lore and the ideas - I do admit that the scripts aren't fantastic and probably have more plot holes than Swiss cheese, but it doesn't bother me because they are entertaining and the ideas are very thought provoking.
I think what bothered me, and other friends, the most with Prometheus and Covenant was that the ideas were great, and the cinematography was amazing(especially Prometheus) and if the scripts weren’t meme worthy bad we might still be trying new things with the franchise. With the first film, I think it’s one of those things where so many people have copied it so much that the original seems cliche now.
Alien was a cinematic masterpiece. Prometheus and Covernant were everything that's wrong with modern cinema, basically, looks pretty but has no soul and misses the point which made the original so simplistically incredible.
There was a concept trailer made before this one that is different. This is the official teaser which you can find on 20th Century Studios official RU-vid site.
@@6of1bill If you rewatch the "fan concept" and then rewatch this "official teaser"- you'll see that someone spliced movies together using scenes from the "fan concept" in this "supposedly official" teaser.
I can’t ever rule out being wrong here, but here’s a variety article where they post the trailer, refer to it and then include an interview with the director. variety.com/2024/film/news/alien-romulus-trailer-fede-alvarez-1235946491/
