This was a great followup. More timeline/lore videos, and subsequent followups, please. It makes me so giddy there are other people overly analytical and obsessed over details about sci-fi/fantasy as me.

My Alien3 would have had Ripley, Newt, and Hicks leading a quiet happy unassuming life on a non-descrpt planet. One day, someone from a nearby settlement stumbles into town telling chaotic stories of a ship landing and monsters (Xenomorphs) harvesting the townspeople. Hicks, Newt, and Rilpey glance at each, go to their home, and open a secret room. Inside is armor, guns, and other weapons. They suit up for a final fight with the aliens

This just came up for me. I watched your Alien timeline and this has been a great accompaniment to that. Even though I have watched a lot of Alien stuff over the years I really enjoyed your video. I love all forms of content, some people don't have the patience for long-form stuff. Your video was really compact for the amount you put into it with such a relaxed tone. This feels the same, putting a very Human face on the content.

One of the reason Outland an Alien looks so similar is a lot of the Alien production crew also went on to work on Outland when it was made.

The idea of some different scifi films all happening in the same timeline can be fun, but I would have no desire to see Ripley, Deckard, and a Predator doing a group pose, or anything like that.

Well now that you brought it up so many times about how confusing it is....... You almost HAVE to do a timeline breakdown of the Terminator series. Including the Tv show, universal studios ride, comic books..... Speaking of, I had a graphic novel of T2 that had different scenes from the movie. Including the scene where they removed his chip and Sarah Connor almost smashed it with a sledgehammer and John talks her out of it. For me that scene is cannon for the movie it just happened off screen. Anyway...... Terminator timeline......try and make it all fit together please 😊😁😃🙏

My idea for an alien tv-series is as follows: It takes places just before the events in the first alien movie and happens on a planet near where the nostromo spaceship is shipping ore.Weyland-Yutani is on the planet and have terraformed it for years,when they discovers a cave with lots of xenomorph eggs. One of them get's infected and a xenomorph is born. It turns out to be a queen,and a lot of the Weyland-Yutani humans are infected and then a war breaks out.All the humans on the planet are wiped out and only a few manage to escape in a spaceship.Then they nuke the planet from orbit. Then Weyland-Yutani regrets the decision and a hunt for the xenomorph begins.They get a tip that there's a crashed spaceship on lv426 and sends the robot Ash on the Nostromo spaceship.But they are informed that the mission has failed and that Nostromo has gone missing.Then Weyland-Yutani get's a tip about an xenomorph on Fiorina161 and sends a team of researchers there.They finds a surviving prisoner that is impreagnated and a queen is born. Weyland-Yutani then wants to use the xenomorphs on the planets where the engineers are located because they want the technology to seed planets with life. They also want the elixir that provides humans with prolongued life.After they have managed to give birth to a flock of xenomorphs,they drops them on an engineer planet and causes everyone of them to die.Then they get hold of the blue elixir that gives prolongued life.But several ships with engineers that where away from their planet when Weyland-Yutani wiped the population out,pursue them and manages to get the elixir back,but gets trapped on the planet where both parties crash.Then a battle takes place and the crew from Weyland-Yutani gets the elixir that gives them prolongued life for thousands of years,but they are now trapped on the planet,with no means to get anywhere.But then they see a light aproaching,but is the spaceship friends or foes ?

Verhoeven and the starship troopers series? Robo cop series?

I wish we could get more characters like Ripley.... She nailed that role.. That's how you girlboss a character.......

0:35 - It does add something with fixing a big error with the distress beacon. You turn it off in the video game and that is why the colonists didn't pick it up in Aliens and get off the planet.

I regret commenting on the other video too late and not seeing this one til now. But I wll add the AVP 1901 opening is once again another alternative cut opening. It's only on the 'unrated' dvd version. The cinema release of AVP did not have the 1901 opening.

The sets and props in Outland were made by the same guy who made the sets and props for Alien.

The closest you will get to Blomkamp A5 is the concept art for A:CM. This is very very hard to find. Especially the city and metropolis concept arts. You will need to “s” hard on a “s” engine.

man I love that you are talking about the alien RPG and you are talking about the wrong one hahaha There is the original table top game that you show. But recently there was a new rpg done that came out in 2020 by free league which is a huge source of lore. Andrew Gaska (I think thats right) was heavily involved in it and he was also hired by Fox to be their franchise continuity guy for Aliens and also predator and planet of the apes too I think (that seems to be an actual job now) so its pretty spot on for an rpg. The most recent book, all about colonists has some great deep cut references to one of the best Alien comics Destroying Angels) He also put out the idea of continuity as tiers of stories you might hear at a bar one evening where the top layer definitely happened, then it could have happened but hasnt been confirmed, might have happened but not how it was told and finally stuff that is made up by a drunk at a bar. The actual quote is "As a franchise consultant to 20th Century Fox on ALIEN, Predator, and Planet of the Apes, I often had to take a long hard look at a number of long-beloved franchise stories and try to figure out how exactly they could still fit into canon. If I couldn’t, I had to recommend they be tossed. I proposed a third option-what I’ve come to call barroom canon. These are stories overheard in a bar (or read in a comic, or played in a video game, or even posted on Facebook) that may or may not have some truth to them. This allows canon to have some flex in regards to including stories that otherwise could no longer count in a franchise’s development." The Terminator timeline is actually easy. The only things that are canon are Terminator, T2, and Dark Fate. That's it. The rest has been tossed in the trash. Oh, and uh.....Terminator is a prequel to RoboCop which is a prequel to Terminator. That is to say, the Terminator tech gets developed into RoboCop BEFORE it gets developed into Terminators and sent back in time. It's actually kind of shocking that RoboCop, Blade Runner, Starship Troopers, Total Recall, Minority Report, Demolition Man, The Running Man, and some form of Judge Dredd aren't somehow part of the Alien/Predator/Blade Runner/Firefly/Soldier universe yet.

You totally missed ACM, which tied into ACMTM. The Shinyo Maru + Legato “blue on blue”. Bishop 341-B in Aliens being nefarious after all. The behavioral inhibitors in Bishop 341-B conflicting with the “chip” Weyland put in him. This is all from ACMTM from 1996. “S” on a s. engine, “s” for the words bishop 341-B nefarious. I can’t spell out the “s” word because my comment gets deleted, but you know what 6 letter word it is.

The Trrminator Timeline was the failed future humanity which was eventually corrected, and everything else with Bladerunner is the eventual timeline without AI. And eventaully, there is another AI war 12,000 years later, which then 9,000 years more, it eventually becomes the Dune timeline. 😮😊😂

no other movie ever left me with so much disappointment and a big WTF, than Alien 3! we saw it in the theater when it came out, and went in thinking it would be like a continuation of Aliens.. WRONG!!! i left the theater wondering WTF we had just watched. and so disappointing they killed off the entire cast and crew! just a big waste imo ☮
