It still makes me wonder how the USMC in this game was able to kill a Xeno Queen with normal bullets. Every game before this one had you do a puzzle game where you eject it out of the ship or use explosives since the Queen is basically immune to bullets.
All depends on the game, but generally in the comics, books, and some games a queen is just tough and hard to kill. Not bullet proof or immune to damage
Aren't the guns specifically made weaker because they're on a spacestation and no one wants to risk a breach in the station walls? That's the lore reason why the guns in the other aliens game couldn't kill one anyway
USMC? You mean UNSC? Either way it's pretty inconsistent between games. In Fireteam Elite you just ran from it and couldn't damage it at all, in AVP 2010 you burnt it alive, etc.
@@Goremasterhelsing It is not explained in the game as we do not see any of them looking exactly like the space jockey in a movie. Thus we can only speculate about it. But I like it as it leaves atmosphere of mystery.
@@kordelas2514it could be a Xenomorph empress, which are very rare and only appeared in comics or it could be a Post-empress like it's transforming because it has to have some face huger the size of those Aliens
Love the late game part where you have to sneak past alien. It's like focus wanted to combine both what alien colonial marines should have been with alien isolation And the mix of x-com and wasteland three. And bugs aside I believe they did a good job here hopefully they keep enhancing it to make it a better experience You know less crashing and the bugs
Remember in Aliens: Colonial Marines the main characters were so OP that Xeno’s ended up running away from you. You could play the entire game having a Xeno kill count of at least 500,000 and in Aliens Isolation you had a hard time just killing 1 of them
İsolation is peak alien game. Not only is it the closest alien game to the movies (atleast the 1st) its also the only game that manages to show what xenomorphs are meant to be, almost impossible to kill no matter what always comes ontop perfect organism that has high intelligence and stalks its prey even in a hive-like environment. Best xenomorph media out there other then the first movie.
Here's hoping we get a AVP Extinction Reboot with similar gamplay mechanics and the three races to play with, A sqaud of marines, A trio of Predators and the Aliens would either play out as stealth or full on hoard battles
so.. i still dont understand the giant eggs scene with marlow. where did they come from? the giant xeno? does that make it a queen? questions unanswered..
@@VSSEDragon3 no, all xenomorphs are, regardless of their strength, still just organic lifeforms. They're durable, but if you throw a big enough bullet at it (artillery shells, for example), it'll die like anything else.
@@Trimeth I hope so, because they try to make it a cartoon but failed during the 90s; no different than when they try to make crash bandicoot into a cartoon, that only got past the intro phase, and it took them way too long to create a Jurassic Park cartoon when they did have one plan for the 90s as well. Bottom line I really hope they do it .
At least it didn't got the bad ending, which normally was getting one xenomorph onto the ship without noticing and then go hypersleep when it roam around.
Let me ask this....the thing that brought to life, the marketing that we all send was that marines were in this situation where the had locked I guess a back door and they were proceding forward...then this thing looking like a human but very gross, then the monsters attacked...they got a couple, and then the door was unlocked someone way, the female sergeant said don't lock that door, they still locked it and she was left alone....then the last scene was a marine recording what he had experienced, then the aliens came down to attack, but first he did stop the recording. Where is the story that includes that footage?
Same here, with how the game industry is we are going to be waiting another 10 years or so, cause they keep wanting only shooting games that are all the same as the one that came before. Would really love a remaster of the 2000's avp 2 and the one from 2010 or at least a decent sequal.
I hope one day we get an open world rpg game where we play as an alien where we can take down humans expand our hive and can bring back not just humans but also other alien creatures on the planet we'd be on to be hosts and can summon some of them as allies along with as face huggers as our character grows and evolve as we take over the planet
I can see why this game sucks. Look at all those xeno queens that shouldn't be possible, and the story is garbo. Could've been good, if the devs were a little more imaginative.
@thedarkcorrupter If that's true, then the "lore" is more fucked than I realized. It wouldn't make sense for multiple queens to be present within a single hive unit for a number of reasons.
@@MrCrunchytime the queens are separated by large distance, they aren’t right next to one another. Lore suggests that they’re either controlled by an empress or above. Or if no controlling creature is present then when they come into contact with one another each hive fights it out until one is dominant. Each mission area on the map is a different location on the moon in game, to the point the terrain can be completely different.
@@mattd339 the movie lore is all over the place and I doubt this game would be considered cannon. We currently have several different timeline lores for just the movies, one of which was created because Ridley Scott didn’t like how aliens was more popular than his movie, another was created because again Ridley Scott couldn’t leave things alone, and another with the abomination that is resurrection/Prometheus.
@@mattd339 as far as I’m aware fox hasn’t given much information as to what is or isn’t cannon, many view the movies as canon but apparently a new one is being made that discards the stories of alien 3 and resurrection. Ridley Scott’s Prometheus and covenant timelines don’t match with the other movies either and instead creates a new way the xenomorph comes into being. The game currently in question seems to follow something similar to the earth hive comics, with mixes of movies and other games thrown in. The engineer species in the game also doesn’t follow what was shown in Prometheus but instead closer to the same earth hive comic line. Honestly the aliens franchise has a lot of great stories and terrible ones that are canon and not canon until fox decides what they want. Most of them contradict each other including the movies. Overall I’d say this is a good game set in the aliens universe that takes inspiration from other media shown in the alien/aliens universe
I'm rooting for the cute animals they are killing. These jerks found out about the new "alien" game and wanted to play as one and those bodies were made for them, but they decided to kill the poor things. Those were animals they "fathered".
