There are very few sequels that are able to match the original or potentially surpass it. James Cameron's Aliens is one of those films. Arriving in 1986 seven years after the last it marks the return of Sigorney Weavers Ellen Ripley whom is awoken from cryosleep 57 years after the events of Alien 1979. Great movies and good vibes. My favorite bit of trivia about this movie, is that the name of the piece of music cue that plays when Bishop gets ripped apart and the Queen is revealed from with the landing gear, is "Queen Takes Bishop". Perfect. No notes.

Yknow, the reason some people call it a Quadrilogy is because the first four movies were sold as box sets called the Alien Quadrilogy, despite the fact that the correct term is ‘Tetralogy’. Hence I call these movies the Alien Quadrilogy Tetralogy.

I'm British or Australian maybe. I grew up with Hunter Thompson being a wild interest but I realize that he was probably abusive to at least a handful of people. I played music with a band called Soul Power one time in a Bar called Char's in Phoenix one time. It was awesome if I don't say so... This is the best podcast ever.
