About the Cadison homage of the Helm - in this case I think it's fine. As you pointed out, the Helm is difficult to get and has a long waiting list so I agree that the Cadison probably won't affect their sales.

The Baltany quartz 1921 is also very slim. To my knowledge, the auto versions have some kind of hardening coating that brings the surface hardness from 200 HV up to 500 HV.

These are all terrific. I especially like the Addiesdive, ESPECIALLY with the sapphire. As for the Helm Homage. I wouldn’t be too supportive of homaging a microbrand, but in this case I think you’re right. The people who want the original are going to wait. Although I think Helm has to rethink their strategy. When they first came on the scene, AliExpress was a bit of joke, and it was worth the wait. No one now is laughing at the likes of San Martin, Seestern, Baltany, Proxima, Steeldive, etc. etc…

in Italy I haven't heard of Cadisen for a long time.. yet even just for its Dress watch with Miyota 9015 under 100 euros it is in fact still a best buy 🤔

Got an Addiesdive 2026. Loved the vintage looks and size. Received the watch and immediately noticed the back wasn't properly screwed down and when taking the back off realised there was no O ring so safe to say that the stated depth rating was false. After a couple of weeks also had problems with a couple of the pins working loose, one on a link and the other at the pivot point of the clasp. Ended up replacing bracelet with a nato strap. Final issue was when I accidently dropped the watch when trying to put it on. I noticed that 4 of the indices had fallen off of the face! So buyer beware, quality control can be non existent. I do have 2 other Addiesdive watches that I have had no issues with and realise you can always be unlucky and get sold a pup. I did manage to remove the movement from the case and reattach the indices but not something you should really have to do(even with a £40 watch).

Thanks for the info, sounds like you did receive a pup on this occasion! As for the indices falling off after the watch was dropped...to be fair, I've heard of that happening on much more expensive watches too.

Yes, I think ivory is a good description. Based on similar watches from Addiesdive, my guess is that it'll be quartz only. But the VH31 is a great movement. Thanks for watching 👍👍

I have been waiting for the quartz Baltany 1921, and really want to see one being worn instead of manufacturers pics. I think both black and silver versions have engraved numbers, rather than applied ones like the mechanical versions.

I think that the San Martin GMT has 21mm lugs because that is what Longines uses on their watch. At least, that's the lug width on my Hydroconquest.

Yes, you're right the 39mm version has a 21mm lug width. I wish SM had used 20mm though. Thanks for watching 👍👍

In regards to the 19MM or 21MM lug width, it usually has to do with the portionality of the watch as a whole during the design process. Sometimes, to the brands, the more common 18mm or 20mm lug width doesn't look right when you look at the watch as a whole.

Glad you've got the white dialled san martin coming in, interesting and quite intriguing, I'll be interested to see that, good job. Maybe if enough manufacturers go for these odd lug widths there will be more straps available, but in the meantime.. it's annoying. I'm not really comfortable with hommaging micros, the big boys yes, expensive and in a lot of cases unavailable but the little guys, seems a bit like a race to the bottom (yes I know some micros sell out and are unavailable) just a bit distasteful, but people like them and who are we to dictate people's choices, so I wouldn't say don't get them in, I'd still watch out of interest but wouldn't buy one. Thanks for the info & I'm sorry to hear that. I just checked it for me in the UK and shows as ready to order. I've added an alternative link to the video description, to the Watchdives mall, as this is collaboration project between them and San Martin. Hopefully, this might work? If not, I'd keep checking AliEx to see if this gets updated. I'll also be on the look out for alternative links on AliEx and if I find any, I'll add them.

I really can't understand the need to clomage a Microbrand watch. Although there is still some difference in price, it is a watch that, with little effort, can be easily purchased. I mean the Helm costs around $300... Ok, you can even use the argument that it's discontinued or there's a big waiting list, but isn't that part of the charm of buying a watch, the fact that you have to wait to appreciate it even more?! Another shocking example comes from Proxima and their version of Studio Underd0g's Watermelon. I don't like it and I find it unpleasant.
