Align 3GX MRS Model Selection and Binding Process for Spektrum

Thank You for the reply and on the separate video you created on Spektrum radio settings for the Align Trex 250 Pro Plus...both You and Align are doing great things in getting people like me "flying" and enjoying this Hobby! I have 3 'Kit' Trex 250's that I plan on installing the 3GX MRs FBL unit in to once I get my BnF up and flying.

Those DFC Pitch arms are working great. If later you want to go to metal you can but the plastic are holding up to basic 3D with no problems. If your just getting started the plastic pitch arms are more than tough. I fly mine all time and have had a lot of fun. Regards, Jeff

Yes, the model is already set to Trex 250, but if you should want to use the 3GX MRS with another model you have the ability to do that. The process is for those that but the 3GX MRS as a individual unit. But you are correct, if you by a bind to fly Trex 250, 0r 450 it should be preconfigured to the helicopter you purchased so just need to skip to the bind process and your ready to go. Those that have purchased the bind to fly model just skip to the bind process and it will be very straight forward. You only need model selection if you purchase a stand alone 3GX MRS. Best Regards, Jeff

Thanks for this Video! Questions: 1) What did you choose to attach the DSMX Sat to the Trex 250? 2) On the BnF Trex 250, the 3GX MRs should already be set to "250 Model"?

You should be able to use the 3GX. You setup may vary but the swash and how the swashplate moves are what is important. So long as you setup correctly you'll have no issues. I'm not familiar with the layout of the HH450 but it should not be that hard to make work. Maybe reverse a servo or swash movement but other than that you should not have a issue. Make sure to get a swash leveler to level the swash and you should be flying in no time.

Hi Jeff, I have tried to bind the 3GX MRS with my Spektrum DX6i with a Spektrum 9645 DMX satellite receiver. Spent several hours trying to figure this out. I have used an external battery supply and the ESC battery supply plugged into the Rudder port with the bind plug in the Throttle port but all I get is a Red bind light and a red status light. Regardless if I switch to heading hold or not the lights don't change. I have never had such as frustrating experience with an RC product in my life. I never have this problem with my AR7200BX although I know it does not need a satellite if using a Spektrum transmitter. I have read that the MRS needs to be upside to function properly in flight and I ever tried that with binding and still can't get two green lights or any green lights. In your video you did not mention or show the status lights on your MRS. Should I return this? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Hank

Hi Jeff, I could hardly understand which wires to disconnect and where to put the binding plug, for the DX binding process, hard to see where they go in the video

mine 3gx mrs wont initialize and light green either. followed video to the letter and nothing.. very frustrating and have to send the helicopter back.. What a pain i spent hours trying to get it to initialize.. everything else up to that point was correct. You never did reply to the other person who commented that he had the same issue!

I have the align three GRS and I'm trained to bind to a spectrum DX6E I got it to bind once and then never again. Is there a customer support number that I can call?

HI can you bind the align 3gx with a dx9 the same way, because i have installeds the AR7200 as well.. should i remove it and bind straight to the Align 3gx..( mine is silver and black one not the mrs

I have a align trex 250 and when I plug the binder on aileron, or elevator, or pitch they all give me 3 blinks... I can't get the one blink for the 250.... can you please help

I am doing a flybarless conversion on a Blade 450 3D, will the TREX 450 settings work well in my BLADE heli? Can the unit be programmed manually if the settings are not acceptable? You mention in the video that this unit should be mounted upside down, is there any harm mounting it right side up as long as the antennas are facing forward?

trying to set up trex 450 Plus with 3gx mrs.with DSMX Sat receiver. Got the bind into Elevator Port but only getting 1 flash...Not sure what should be plugged into what..

Go to your reverse menu and reverse the gyro function. It should change to green. If not then check your gain setting.

Do i have to bind like this every time I want to fly ?

hi jeff. please help. i have bind plug in ail and power into throttle. i hold set whilst plugging battery in.after a few seconds i let go of button. but the status light is not flashing. the bind light is solid red only? could you plse advise? thank you

bind is green, but status is red light. means it's not in headlock , how can you change that? I have a trex 450 sport flybarless..

Jeff, Can I bind my Spektrum DX9 to my 450 plus with a 3Gx MR?

The MR is only for Futaba FHSS, the MRS is Spektrum capable.

my DSMX sat RX stays solid red...but it turns on and off when i turn my DX6i on and off ?? no inputs alatt to the heli... whats wrong ?

i know this is an older system and i just want to point out, the setup process is a bit ridiculous! why did they design the mrs system the way they did? could this not have been designed easier for the user, for instance removing the rudder and suppling power via rudder port, then put bind plug into throttle to bind! why not have a bind port and save pulling other servos out? this is the bug barer with this hobby! its as if they make things as complicated as possible!!
