For VO demos I like the simplicity of Audacity but my voice sounds like I'm talking inside a steel drum. I could help it along by using the effects tab-bass and treble up or down but still a bit inconvenient. Any tips? I read someone else comment on the same problem on Reddit. I bought Studio one and plugged in the same mic in the same room and the sound was perfect-crisp and clear. thx for any help.

Make sure that you have selected YOUR MIC and are NOT using the computer's built in mic. You can make this selection by clicking the Audio Setup button>Recording Device and choosing you mic

@@AlisoCreekVoiceOver Thx I'm pretty sure I did select my mic but i'll check. :) I'm almost sure cuz I was using a Behringer mic. I'd remember if I was just talking at the computer. Anyway like I said once I plugged into the Studio One app the sound was perfect pretty much.
