I'm not sure the two fit into the same category of "best singers". Alison's voice has an absolutely beautiful timbre that gets me every time, but Kate Bush's technical abilities are just somewhere else.
She is amazing. She is ageless and timeless. Her voice was and still is, one of the best. Amazing talent and this song, this voice brings back so many incredible memories. Thank you for the gift of music Alison.
This song, and her voice, it's so emotional for me, I cry every time. Her voice, even now, is so beautiful. We have all gotten old, she has become exquisite...
Wow! She’s looking fab now and her voice is still as good as ever. Why was A.M. never approached to sing a Bond theme? Anyone who has heard her singing of ‘All Cried Out’ will know it is well within her capabilities. If they plan to resurrect Bond somehow, I think we should all write to the Producer.
Could not agree with you more. However Alison has something Madonna doesnt have, a good singing voice. She is simply spectacular and an ambassador for a music generation that was simply the best (Sorry Tina)
@@Filmbert Alison moyet was my generation thank god she was. Adele on the other hand was for another generation and not my taste. Adele's music is too depressing and dark.
@@happy_cloudsgenuine artists don’t put their peers down so neither should we. I appreciate the incredible talents of both these British females who are legends in their own right!
Absolutely no need for that shade. Both are amazing. Why the heck can't people develop and practise the art of celebrating people without the pointless need to put others down?
I don’t think she’s celebrated enough but perhaps she likes it the way it is! Established and no need for any popularity challenges. She has a UNIQUE and lovely singing voice which needs NO forced and OTT acrobatics many do today. Alison definitely has her very own, unmistakable style. Great in concert and in more intimate venues too. Amazing Alison 👌👌👌❤️🤗
You are so right amigo!! In the immortal words of my hero Tom Petty "Music is probably the only real magic I've encountered in my life. There's not any trick involved in it. It's pure and it's real. It moves, it heals, it communicates and it does all these incredible things..." Alison Moyet's voice and music will last through the ages ❤
Moyet still has it - & she looks better than ever; always found her sexy. I've heard her sing blues as well - what an incredible talent - keep on going, Alison !!😘
I saw her at Slims in San Francisco in 1994. She was fantastic. She also sang one song A capella and you could hear a pin drop, her voice is breathtaking.
She does a version at a fashion show in a glass house with a large disinterested audience that's impeccable and stunning, the audio/music background was a little harsh here, though she never is
Wow….your voice defies time…I can’t believe the transformation you’ve gone through, but that isn’t even the most amazing thing. It’s your voice, the soundtrack to many people’s lives, including mine. Your voice will always be with me. Simply, incredible.
Alison sings with more expression in her voice than 40 years ago,. I cannot tell you how rare that is, when it's sung this well. What a singer. This is emotional how beautiful it is.
Im nearly 50. Australian. I've been on a journey with this song since I heard it new. Was I, 12? It really is just so simple and beautiful. I'm no musician but they get it. I guess what lasts the longest in popularity is what appeals to peoples hearts just a tad more than passions. It's emotional.
Still belts it, and yes she is amazing. She is now at a lower register, which is normal as we age. A phenomenal singer that went under the radar for most.
I remember seeing her perform a pure blues set for Jules Holland's New Year Hootenanny.....I was blown away, thinking, she's soooooo much more than her pop songs! A true glimpse of her talent and sheer beauty of voice; she was always beautiful, even when she carried more weight, especially when she smiled!!
Amazing performance I was there in 2016 when she did the catwalk for Burberry. That event was so amazing. It’s beyond words! She was at the top of her game not to mention she had a 40 piece orchestra accompanying her, which is absolutely beyond words!
This legendary 80s superstar is one of our national treasures. The voice goes without saying but that figure for a 61+ year old is extraordinary, she’s never looked better, fitter and healthier. I know she’s had debilitating phobias to deal with over the years, but Her style and quirky manner always made me think she was a Brighton woman 💯 So It didn’t surprise me when I heard she graduated last year from the University of Brighton, just around the corner from me 😊
