Why the woebegone opening? lol The depressing music and messages seem like they're setting up a suicide-themed game rather than an escape the room game. A guy who's _that_ depressed would probably say "f*ck it," curl up on the sofa, and go to sleep. Chris' commentary livened things up, at least.

So a game where the character is stuck in a VR game, and from the Steam Store page, the actual game is not VR compatible?

I've actually done an escape room with this exact theme, and my friends and I made it out with just 45 seconds on the clock, crawling through a secret tunnel we had just opened in the wall, and I've never felt more like a horror game protagonist. I just needed a shitty flashlight and to find some fuses and it would have been perfect.

I wish my home had doors that played the AOL Door Sound.

you becoming one of my favorite let's play youtuber. no fake screaming, soothing voice and accent. i often play your video on the background when working or resting. it's very soothing haha. it amazes me you didn't seems to burn out playing these games. keep safe, keep healthy, keep making videos man.

I thought it was ok, but I agree that one more level, or at least one more puzzle in this level, would have been nice. As it is, it's so short it's hard to guess the potential of the game, imho.

It's changed a little. They removed the number cards from the items and now you must follow some clues. Nice game! It's got potential.

When you opened the door in the bedroom it reminded me of aim days

I liked this, but I feel like the numbers could have been more cleverly hidden. Like on the phone, have one of the numbers missing, and maybe the stairs could have been the number of stairs. Stuff like that is my jam.

While the demo was a bit lackluster (only one puzzle, and it was a simple one), I'd like to see what else the game has to offer once it's released. I was expecting some Saw type punishment if you tried to leave them game and as an ending to tease such an "In real life" threat to the online game headset.

The concept is interesting, but I agree that’s really the only thing going for this right now. Hopefully as this gets developed there’ll be more complex puzzles and increased interactivity with the environment in the game within the game.

Reminds me of that puzzle from the Res Evil 7 DLC.

I like how the protag is wondering where he's going to get all that cash to pay his rent, that according to the dates on the payment demand he hasn't paid even once. I'm not sure he understands how rent works. However, he may have an out since the document states that he is to send payment by mail to "the address below" which isn't there. Maybe it's more of an escape the rent game?

The pov for the kitchen cabinet puts me off...but hey, there will be months to fix that!

I see your point CJU, but it was after all a demo. I won't say that I'm chomping at the bit to see the full game, but I definitely am interested in seeing how the answers to the (story) questions posed develop. Obviously, one is: will I win the "big money" prize?, but close behind it is: is there even actually a prize? The "mad scientist' who has trapped you seems... pretty sketchy... and not over-endowed with either generosity of spirit, goodwill towards others, or faith in the basic goodness of human nature. Plus he seems to be unraveling a tiny bit. So it is a question as to whether he's going to go all GLaDoS on you as you progress. As to the puzzles: well, they _might_ all be so simple, but ... 10-minute demo. Make the puzzles harder and you might give away too much, or worse, frustrate the player, dissuading them from buying the game. It's a fine line, and maybe they missed. On the other hand, you played "We Went Back", which literally repeated locations so it could pretty much shove the clues to the one puzzle in your face, as well as the demo to "Forgiveness" which had the exact same puzzle as this demo and was just as "difficult". I don't know why you found it a disappointment in this situation, but not the others. Anyway, it looked good to me, seemed to run well, had good voice acting and the potential for a good story to flesh out the puzzle-solving, so I hope to see a playthrough of the full game on the "alt days" playlist :-) .

Would be irony to play this game with a VR 😜🤭 which is about being stuck in a VR.

Maybe it’s because it was the teaser but the announcer in the VR portion turned sinister way too quickly for me. Maybe it’s just me but I think I prefer GlaDOS or HandUnit (FNAF) style, where it’s ominous because they don’t really recognize anything as irregular, or don’t recognize your trepidation. When you step in immediately and they just go “F*ck this, I’m evil now” it robs it of all the gravitas haha
