Her front twists are decent but her triple full is horrid. Bent knees and legs separated. Now her Arabian is killer. As is her dance but her back twists no they were never as good after her ACL tear.
This will forever be my favorite floor music. It is so beautiful and fits her SO well. This routine will always make me emotional 😭😭 if she makes it to Tokyo I would sell my soul for her to bring this music back.
Cailyn Pan that’s actually not completely on pointe so don’t worry! It seemed similar to demi-pointe and a few dancers with very strong feet are able to do it. That explains it because Aliya has had years and years of ballet training and it payed off! Very impressive.
She's crunching over her knuckles. As long as the floor isn't super hard and you have the balance control it's not difficult; it's a common warm up/foot stretch for dancers, though a lot of teachers hate it because they think it's bad for your feet.
Going "en pointe" is dancing on the tips of your toes, and is practically impossible without pointe shoes, especially to actual walk on your toes like she is over her knuckles
@@eliarosa2610 I agree in a big way! Ponor should've took home the gold that day because she was perfection! She stuck all her landings on all tumbling passes! Not that many gymnasts can even stick one!
She's the second most decorated gymnast in the modern code (D+E counts) after Simone Biles. She has also medalled in every single event at the world championships winning at least a silver in everything
shushunovafan same i loved Vika's passion specially in the "show must go on" part along with her beautiful body lines it was a joy to watch. She litearally gave everything she had on that routine
❤❤❤❤❤Me parese que fue una gimnasta de lijo ya que domino todo velleza tecnica presicion una artista completa meresio el oro ya que era de ensueño su rutina yo personal mente la estraño
@QPHashSS77 That's simply not true though, is it? Anyone who made it to the olympics is one of the best in the world, and that's a fact (though you don't strike me as someone who gives a shit about facts unless they give you an excuse to shit on someone)
JGSHEW @QPHashSS77 doesn’t care about facts when it comes to Russians and Europeans. She just looks up videos of Russian gymnasts to make the dumbest comments to make her look thick as shit. Just wait until she calls you a ‘depressed teen’
Por Eso Eres Grandiosa También,Aliya.Porqe Aparte De Talentosa Has Sabido Controlar Tus Rutinas Y Así Encontraste Tu Estilo.Y También Sigues Igual De Bella Y Radiante.😉
Excuses. Excuses. 🤷♂️ Many people have had knee surgeries and didn't/don't have horrible twisting form. She was never "great" with twisting elements, but she's especially bad now.
@@rmxevbio5889 Artisty is not the only thing that matters, maybe if you know the rules about PROPER forms you would see why she had errors specially in that last one hideous twist.
@@aracelichely2954 "that last hideous twist" lol. Sorry but usually I am not able to waste time with People like... you understand me? "Hideous" Im dying haha. Biased af
I love Aliya a lot but we have to recognize that form on her twisting passes. Comparing her to Catalina, Aliya was only 3 tenths behind Ponor which is crazy since Ponor was spot on. I do believe the judges gave Aliya extra marks because of her artistry (because Ponor had no artistry) or what do you all think?
She loses 3 tenths on her triple, Catalina loses 2, besides the triple twist she was great. Extra marks isn’t a thing, only deductions. However you do get deducted for lack of artistry. (Up to 0.3 I think).
@Random Stuff I Like. So you choose the one who is actually Russian LOL Have a look at Simone, Aly, Jordyn, Gabby, Kyla. Obviously there are exceptions but they are mostly all freaks.
@@euler2718100 Is no one in this comment section sane? Why is everyone on this website either horrible to Russians or Americans? Why can't we accept that both styles have merits?
She had a type of flair, but YES so do most of the Americans! The gap in Athleticism and difficulty is far more than the gap in artistic execution. Just watch slomotion and you can clearly see the deductions here. With that said, Mustafina was classy and I love her humility most. You will be missed.
Aly had one great pass, but her twisting form was just as bad as Mustafina's. At least Aliya had a reason- a recent Acl injury, Aly had no excuse for her twisting form.
2:14 my god...even if you are her fan you have to admit that's the worst form of twist you can see, and unbelievable coming from an elite and condecorate gymnast (who had already a gold AA medal in WC) I can't believe people say this was "so good". She is beautiful of course, but she has the worst twisting forms I've even seen and is shocking how everyone decides to ignore it, but oh well ^^U
Frankly it was just a fight against time just for her to regain her skills after her ACL tear, let alone perfect her form. She has practically perfect form on everything else, is artistic as they come, and is the biggest fighter in the sport. We can overlook one flaw.
I know this is old comment but sooo agree. If this were an American gymnast that's all that would be talked about, the atrocious form. Yes shes lovely in a lot of other areas but that twisting form does not get nearly the deductions it deserves.
@D Leo Which is why she doesn't perform many twisting elements anymore. Her vault is still amazing minus the one knee bend on the second twist, she doesn't do her triple off beam anymore, and doesn't do her triple or 2.5+1/1 on floor anymore, so frankly not sure what you're complaining about.
Isso sim que é ginástica elegante, leve, parte artística bonita, parece uma bailarina! Totalmente diferente dessa ginástica horrivel e robótica dos EUA
@@chuuu4610 It's unique. Nobody twists with those beautiful artistic twists. You only don't like them because people tell you not to, when you look at them for what it is it's rather nice.
