Caitlin got asked a question by the media if she hears or sees anything being said about her and she said she doesn’t go on social media much to see it, she’s just there to focus on basketball and her team. Aliyahs best friend tweeted out after she did the press interview and said how can she stay quiet about all the noise going on in the media that affects her teammates and league, NaLyssas ex girlfriend also said the same and criticised Caitlin. Caitlin did another interview an hour later and the person asked her a more direct question about some of the racism from fans and Caitlin answered by saying she doesn’t agree or condone that behaviour and everyone should be treated the same. Thats why during the game today Caitlin didn’t look happy, it was the same during the game VS the suns. There’s obviously been locker room drama happening because of the far right media and Caitlin is getting the blame for it by her teammates which is unfair. She never said anything wrong at all but people still had a problem with her first answer and now have a problem with her second response she gave. I’m hoping she can get traded or will leave the league as the toxicity from the WNBA towards her is so cruel.
Caitlin was obviously banned by Sides to not play her usual game. Sides made Caitlin just a mere ball passer so the other players can do the shots. Bottom line, Caitlin’s points went really down and Sides was proud of it. I bet she’ll do this to Caitlin in the upcoming games again. I stopped a couple of games ago. This league stopped being basketball years ago. And the treatment of Clark is pathetic and insane. Shes so alone in this league, it’s actually heartbreaking to watch. This is one of Caitlin’s best games she was a pure point guard she used the fact that everyone knows she can shoot to get her team involved if anyone notices everytime Caitlin plays a great floor game as a pure PG they win we all know she can score and believe me she will but I believe she should play this way more now her scoring will come
@Geemonroe11 She averages a modest 15 points a game by no means is a scoring machine, she's a decent playmaker her assist numbers are just above average, at a contrast her turnovers are by far worst n the league, quarterbacks who lead the league n turnovers never considered playmaker but turnover machines
If Aliyah starts playing more consistently like that (which I believe she will), it will also open things up a lot more for Clark eventually. They are still learning but as they play more together they should develop a lethal inside-out combination.
Definitely think that will happen! AB playing like this makes teams think twice about double teaming CC and that will pay off. She is human and she is talented and she will bounce back.
Nothing. This roster was designed to work better around Boston. AB played well today. CC is a rhythm player. She needs offense to run through her and this is a slow half court team. I think Fever should trade CC for another big. CC will thrive on a team like the sparks, aces or sky. Fast tempo. Sad to see CC be used as a decoy and a role player.

This was a good change in strategy, but the coach needs to make sure it’s not the new predictable. She needs to allow Caitlyn to do full court on occasion. Am still not convinced this is the right coach for the Fever or Caitlyn.

It's a perfect definition of a coach Not allowing a superb player play her game. That's EXACTLY what's going on. Sides is sabotaging CC and not letting her score. She also creates toxicity with giving the public CC private messages. Sides benches CC for long periods. She won't allow her to shoot, and tells her to assist the other players. Very little screens are given to CC and she is raely given the ball when she's open. I see low team moral. I see a coach that is toxic for CC and the Fevers . It’s not Caitlin’s issue, I believe. The balance needed to keep the team, any team, winning and playing well, is best as distributed as it was tonight. A turning point game, that helps the team grow.

CC rarely, if ever, gets to take an "open" 3. Look what happened in the 2nd half when Mitchell and Boston "fell off." Yes Boston made some 1st half buckets. But face it, Atlanta inside is not as tough s many of the other wnba teams.

❤ Fever win. Boston ‘finally’ showed up! CC is being ‘terraformed’ into a half court playmaker. Obvious in last few games, and evident in this one. Sides wants Boston to be the centerpiece of the Fever. Gone forever will we see CC be the quarterback of an Iowa style full court, fast paced transition game. Oh well, it was a fun time watching her during those NCAA games. Hope for the best, she adapts to WNBA style BB. As it stands, she has a lot of learning to go.

They are 4 and 10. They have a hard the toughest schedule to start the season. They played the top two teams a total of 5 times. If you swap out 3 of those and give them Wings, Sparks, Mystics, or Sky, they could easily be 7-7. At one point they were 0-5, and since then they're 4-5. That's a huge improvement. In the next 14 games, they will figure out where they are in the league. Getting better and better.
I hope Clark ask for trade since here coach and teammates just want her to be a passer and defender. This coach will ruin her, she doesn't talk like this to Clark always throwing her under the bus.
Nope. She wants to play with a team that is successful. This is good for her and the whole team. It’s exhausting for her to be in that locker room trying to bond with her new teammates while the world acts like they don’t matter as much as she does. I have been playing BBall since I was like 12 and now at 78 I think I have a fair idea what BBall should look like if it's played as the science and sporting artform it truly was designed to be. For those of you that are like me and are tired of watching this trashy league, I have been watching all of the Iowa games with Caitlin. She had a coach that let Caitlin be Caitlin, and she was great. I have cancelled everything I had with this league and will not be watching it anymore. And as a gay woman, I do not need anyone speaking out for me. I'm a big girl and will do that for myself. I thought I would get to watch some great basketball when Caitlin came into the league, but that has yet to happen because no one on this team wants Caitlin to be Caitlin, except Fagbenle. I like her. She and Caitlin mess well. And they are both very articulate. Articulation is seriously lacking in the WNBA.

I think this is the way the team has to play going forward, Mitchell and Boston are the real threat and if they want to double cc or whatever let those two eat and make other teams pay eventually they'll have to respect them and that's when cc is going to get hers, they need to make those three the main options and if one isn't going feed the other two. Also cc needs a little more mustard on those passes they are fairly predictable and I saw some slow under hand passes, what that's doing is allowing the defender to get there instead of a catch and shoot.
Boston really came to work tonight. CC is still getting adjusted. When she toughs up and cuts down on the turnovers,the team will be a lot more competitive

CC seems like she doesn't want to be there. She doesn't have the fire that she did in college. She can be a great play maker, but she won't have the type of career she did in college. She only has a few moves and the other teams are already on to her.

Everyone always brings up the TOVs but dont forget that when a teammate a team fumbles a pass in transition, CC gets the TOV recorded on her stat line.
