Demonetized for chat use of many offensive words and swears. If it is visible words the algorithm picks up on it like nobody's business, just look to see if any cards against humanity games are monetized, they are never.
PurpleSidewalk1 One has to wonder why he would put chat there if you’re right about it being the cause. We’re talking 200k(and growing) worth of views in exchange for having spam and general cancer that does not add much of anything and, to me at least, is somewhat distracting. Maybe a disguised brainfart? :P
53:02 Typically the ogres have the bad effect on them. This is a 5 mana card with aggressive leaning fair stats that can avoid being killed. It gets the hits in normally. Also, I don't know how the interaction works based on the card text, but it says someone else. Does that include their minions as well? If so it's even better (but I don't think that's how it works). My pick for sleeper pick of the set.
@@PurpleSidewalk1 the way i see it, having an offensively inclined minion that with reasonable luck can be very difficult to be killed is a significant upside. with 6 attack you'll smorc most classes down relatively quickly. if it's the biggest thing you have on the board and the opponent gets unlucky trying to hit it the minions might wind up hitting your face which you don't care about or making bad or inefficient trades which weakens their potential minion advantage. obviously it doesn't compare to most 5 drops from last year but it'll probably see some play when those cards rotate out in aggressive decks.
@@kennethokubo3435 Yeah but your forgetting about spells. Most decks will be easily able to remove it with spells, and minion-based decks will eventually be able to kill it.
@@danielmcanulty5502 but often with aggressive vs aggressive decks, one bad turn can lead to you losing the game from being unable to kill this card. with the exception of priest and hex effects, most spells that are commonly run fail to kill it (swipe, eviscerate, flanking strike, etc) or would rather be used for burn damage like fireball. sure you can polymorph or hex it, but if you're up against a warlock, paladin, or rogue it might take up too much of your mana to be a feasible option due to how aggressive those decks can be. the variance of being able to kill the announcer and the very aggressive stating gives the card potential in aggro or midrange decks.
@@kennethokubo3435 Aggro vs aggro is decided long before turn 5, plus it's just a 5 mana 6/5 that does literally nothing when it is played. I don't think it'll see play at all, but I could always be wrong.
One star, if you scale it up form the maximum 5 stars to hundred, would be 20/100. the math is : 1/5 and just multiply 5 and 1 by 20 to scale it up to the 100 stars format. This means Gonk getting 5/100 means it would get 0.25/5.
I don’t understand why people think the Hero Power Mage deck has to be Odd Mage. Just get the spirit and the 1/1 that adds two damage and you’re literally already done. Then you can use Zola/Brewmaster to keep making copies of Jan’Alai and Ragnaros. Hell, you can use Molten Reflection to make more copies of Ragnaros. If there is one class that can survive into the late game against aggro, it’s Mage.
Ryan Monaco ragnaros isn't a win condition, you're just making big spell mage but worse. Odd mage has a shot because it can function more as a mid-range deck, with Jaina for those games that go the distance.
idk i see potential in it especially with bloodmage - 1 draw, min 1 random spell and 3 dmg across the board. that might be better then flamestrike especially against aggro decks. But well have to see
It 100% sees play in odd mage because there aren't enough spells to fuel dragons fury otherwise right now odd mages have to play deck of wonder or luna's pocket galaxy
@@hyilpoulle I like it but I feel like u would never play it turn 5 and require ls set up. I feel like the best way to use it is to kill ure own minons to gain hand advantage. Plus it pretty much counters the new hunter cards. Mage will destroy hunter I think
People sleeping on treespeaker. Treant druid isn't bad right now. Has solid token druid power with the ability to out last most aggro decks. Transforming 2 2/2's into 5/5's isn't far fetched and still super powerful for a 5 Mana 5/5
I ve tried treant druids, it is great against slower deck but weak against aggro. Decks tht have a lotta board clear are also a bummer for treant druid.
I like it but u need to pull off the combo immediately or ure treats die. I feel like there not enough treant synergy to make it work. I do feel like it's the best card besides the 10 mana treant card. The problem I have with treants is it had no early game and u can't waste ure treants early game or u lose the otk potential. Treants could be good but all there cards need to be be cheaper. Also i agree with toast that some of the treant cards have anti synergy. I can't make the deck work on casual but I'll keep trying. Still think treant otk pretty weak
The Treespeaker I think could be very annoying for constructed. If there are multiple Treants still on the board and they get turned from 2/2 to 5/5 and there is no way to clear it, you often guarentee lethal damage.
Toast: We live in a real world, where the poor get poorer and the rich get richer. Also Toast: You play quest, you finish it, then you play Hex Lord Malacrass, and you get your quest back, you play that quest, you complete that, and then you take the THIRD turn!
Did toast not realize Daring Fire Eater + Spirit Of The Dragonhawk + Frost Lich Jaina's Hero Power = Cosmic Anomaly + Shooting Star + Summon an elemental for each minion you kill with it
7:00 Master's call = good? If you're using it as a tutor then stitched tracker is strictly superior. If you're building a midrange beast hunter deck and plan to draw 3 beasts with it then you're losing out on powerful beast synergy cards like houndmaster. Please explain why you would do either of those things?
Actually blast wave is great for quest mage. get some spell power, kill some minions, get extra spells and boom, quest done. It has potential to complete your quest on 1 cast.
So on Hearthstone gamepedia it mentions how Jan'alai has a counter with the amount of damage left needed to summon rag, for instance at zero it says 8 left and then once you've dealt 8 it says "Ready!". Since it doesn't mention damage done over the amount I believe you don't need to deal exactly 8 to activate and is instead 8+.
Dude! I watched other hearthstone "experts" rate these cards but their ratings were too confusing with only a 4-5 star system, this 100 point system is so much better, now TRULY understand the subtle differences between all the shitty cards that everyone else gave one or 2 ambiguous stars. Thumbs up for Toast, thumbs down for T-series.
He is literally doing the exact same thing because he didn't plan the ratings. You don't get any real relative scale, you just get a random rating in toast's 1-100 range of one star two star three star four star and five star.
Yeah bro.. rating out of 100 is also going overboard.. because if you get 5/100 there is no reason why he didn’t rate it 6/100. A 5 format is way reasonable and logical. Whereas a six star format would be slightly more accurate.
1-100 could be useful but Toast is giving out the ratings pretty much at random other than "this is a low/medium/high number card" so I wouldn't pay too much attention to the numbers.
Guys, you just don't understand his more nuanced and technical rating system. Pro gamers notice the difference between a 5/100 and a 6/100 and we appreciate the specifics of it.
43:24 I'm trying to figure out how Spirit of the Rhino is considered a crap card. I know that it needs you to have rush minions after it, so it has a set up, but it costs 1. Rush warrior is a thing and this can make it stronger. Of course, I don't watch the tier lists and all that, so I'm not an expert, but I'm seeing a lot of value in this card if you have even a decent set up. Of course, his mileage will vary and I'm just a casual player, so whatever.
@@magicmanscott40k True it is but having played it myself i can say it's certainly one of the funnest OTK's i've played. All you need is your Dreampetal to not hit Floop and you got the combo, even if it hits Floop you can pull the combo off with innervates.
I wonder if Quest+Secrets Hunter would be viable. Draw Springpaw, Halazzi and Subject: 9 with Master's Call, enough 1 drops for the quest. If Master's Call doesnt work when there arent enough beasts left in the deck, just at some other 1-Drop beasts or just strong beasts for hunter. The rest of the deck is Eaglehorn+Secrets+Emerald+filler spells like Flanking Strike.
Many think Spirit of the Lynx is too slow to be playable, but you'd only need to play about two beasts with it to gain 2/5 worth of stats from its mana cost of 3. It's not a turn 3 play for sure but I think it's very underrated as there will be a decent amount of small beasts many with rush/charge available this expansion.
Gonk= A weak version of Windfury. I don't think Furion can get windfury. Spirit Raptor= Normally, you can draw 2 cards. Wardruid Loti= I wonder what happen if you have Fandral Staghelm. Choose 2 effects? Or have all 4 effects? +Ultimate Loti(3,4,6)= Rush, Poisonous, Taunt, Stealth, Spell Damage +1 Halazzi= Much like Beast version of Shaman's Quest. Spirit Lynx= T3 play it, T4 for 4 beasts. Zul'jin= Another hero card, it could be better if it is a minion with Battlecry: "Replace your hero."
They're not all animals. Basically "Loa" in WoW just means "powerful spirit or entity". A lot of them are Wild Gods (very powerful animals) but not all of them. I'm not entirely certain what Bwonsamdi is supposed to be exactly tho; just a very powerful troll spirit maybe?
@@darrendoesthings2021 Fair enough. I could argue that it fit priest the best, but as far as I know they made up Graal and Shirvallah for HS so that's kinda a weak rationalization I guess. Although if there's one class where there's just no reason for there to be a beast whatsoever it's priest I guess
@@nickgerjevic2949 thanks for the explanation! I don't actually know the lore (so thanks for clarifying), but just going from what we got this expansion he/she/it is indeed the only one who is not based on an animal. Does look indeed like a troll spirit or something.
Summoning the beasts that just died on your turn for two mana, gives hunter a really good control option rather than face, or even some strange Tundra rhino Abomb synergy and resurrecting. In meaning, you could kill your own board, after you go face, and then cast and give them all charge and go face again, so basically going heavy on damage. I jsut see lots of potential for sprawling onto the board. Oftne hutners always have minions on board and so having face or minion choice, this would allow for one ot control and also go face. :D Ofcourse this puts problems in the turn order, becasue it gives advantage to the first player greatly over the second person.
If the Undertaker had taken the Immortal Prelate deathrattle, would he return to the deck, when he dies, without any enchantments? What is the interaction, does the other deathrattles trigger as well, before he goes back? Can you stack the effect?
Zoo/deathrattle/hand buff warlock has been working great for me. I run two bat spirits, hireek, cauldron, two arena fanatics, two doubling imps, and a lot of useful but disposable demons.
DONT end up in the "TOP PROS WHO REVIEW CARD WRONGLY" .eps...... TBH the sucker a card the more chances it will greatly impact the meta like : N'Zoth, Keleseth, Possessed Lacky, Cube and many more "badly review card"
If Thekal ever got out of hand they could add a card next expansion that does 1 piercing damage( i.e. bypasses armor). Personally I feel that would be a more reasonable tech over consuming all of your opponents armor. Armor eating seems too op against a lot of control matchups.
Play Mojomaster in Shudderwock shaman, opponent never gets back past 6 mana as soon as you play your combo, assuming your Grumble battlecry hits a Shudderwock. You don't really care about having low mana at that point, anyway, as all you need is Shudderwock, and all your Shudderwocks cost 1. Pretty much an auto win at that point, even without this, but this is like the final nail in the coffin! I'm not great at theorycrafting HS, but that could be fun, right? And might even work decently?
Does it bother anyone else that you can hear a split second of the hearthstone music everytime the card switches because the audio is just clipped from a recording of the game without getting rid of the music?
I think Gonk isnt as bad as people make it out to be. While I dont think it will see that much pay its worth considering because druids biggest weakness is wide boards. I am not sure it if is needed because we have spreading plague but when that rotates out Gonk my be how druid beats aggro decks.
Trendy Mirror waaaay too slow to counter aggro, even for druid. You need at least seven mana and two specific cards (pounce) to get a 2 attack board clear, that btw is not rly that since the opponent needs to have 2 or less hp minions, Aaaand you take a full turn of dmg aswell. Now just consider a card no one plays called starfall, which one is best? Unless you play a specifit hero attack druid, this card is worthless vs aggro, and basically everything else too, clearing a big board with it requires a ton of cards to achieve it and is possibly not even worth it, and clearly considering you have to play these cards in your deck seals the deal, especially in druid that basically runs a 6/8 cards deck with the rest being default
@@paulmayaux6692 I dont think its great by any means but the thing is with druid ramp the card costing 7 mana isnt as big of an issue as it is for other classes. Also while malfurion is still in rotation its a 9 cost one card combo that kills anything with 3 or less health. The bigger problem is that you have to face tank all the damage. Against token decks like token druid or odd pali gonk can just clear full boards easily. If there ever are multiple token decks in meta I think gonk is a viable tech option. I might experiment with Gonk in my togwaggle deck. It probably wont work so well but I think its at least worth exploring.
Why is no one talking how thekal hurts Odd Warrior. Think about it. If you use thekal on the warrior, he's left with one health and the rest armor. And since it's all armor, he can never play Reckless Flurry, since it gets rid of all armor. Meaning they just killed a board clear for Warrior
