It's not just ten minutes, the first half hour plus there's no real dialogue. Everything was crystal clear without it, and that is why it's not just my favorite Pixar movie, but my favorite movie, period.
1 thing that I like about WALL-E that not enough people bring up is that if you isolate the parts with just WALL-E the story works, but if you isolate the parts with just the Captain the story also still works. It's 1 of the few Disney films that actually does a subplot that is just as interesting as the main plot.
WallE's first third is a masterpiece. The parts with just the Captain learning about Earth are good too. I find it too hard to negotiate the really really good parts with the hyper-preachy parts. And I don't think the movie needed a villain. For a climax it could've just as easily been WallE needing to rush through the ship to get the final piece of the ship where it needs to be or else they'll be stuck or the ship blows up.
@@remyhavoc4463 OK look, Ratatouille is a very good movie that was not made for me. It delivers the massage about changing social expectation really well and I like Remy and Ego. But it's just too slow and unexciting. There are some conveniences throughout (like Remy discovering Linguini's relation to Gusto at the last day). Some moments that are just time wasters (all of the cooking stuff before the second half). The chasing sequences are weak and some characters are unlikable at times for making some stupid decisions (Linguini getting too full of himself and sending Remy away, but forgetting that Remy is who made him cook constantly). Love Ago's speach though.
@@remyhavoc4463 Yes I have, and I watched the movie again to see that I'm confident in my viewpoint. James's video was well crafted, but I either disagree on some aspects or agree but still don't like it much. I hate that James has such a loud voice on RU-vid because many of his fans just follow his opinion to feel "in a group". There's no crowd opinion anymore, just a Schaff opinion and whoever disagrees doesn't count. In fact, he's fully aware about that so he made a song to brain-wash people to give Shrek Forever After a higher review score. And than he said he wants to do the opposite to Ralph Breaks The Internet. He has too much control. I even saw over 10 reviews giving Ralph 2 a 1/10 mentioning "Cuz Schaff said so". He takes advantage over his popularity. Now here me out, many times I agree with him even before his videos. I think Shrek 4 is even BETTER than 2, but while I'm not the biggest fan of Ralph 2, I wouldn't say it's bad. I can counter plenty of his points towards some movies, but the difference between us is that I don't have 1M subs. I get that he has any right to share his opinion, but he takes it to a bad place. His voice is so loud across the media that he uses it for turning the public's opinion just because he can. If I could, I would've made a video countering his opinion to several movies. HTTYD2 and 3 (I think 2 is the best and 3 is the worst), Frozen 2 (screw his "we barely explored Elsa's will to live in the forest" line) and several others.
I honestly love the original cars so much. I feel like that movie is brought down because of it's sequels. As a franchise, toy story movies my favorite but as a movie cars just makes me so so happy
Soul had a nice beginning if it weren't for the soul purpose in this movie and just a jazz thing it would be a Second rate ratatouille. I mean the soul guys
While the older Pixar movies are not necessarily better (I personally think it's hard to rank them because the top 12 or 13 are all pretty much perfect), they do have more seniority and are more iconic, just because they've been around longer.
I personally have a massive love for Inside Out. It cleverly depicted the inside of a preteen/child's mind the changes that it can under go with age and how the mind work (in a understandable way to kids) It also wisely teaches depression and how it can essentially shut you down and prevent you from feeling anything and cost you who you are as well as the dangers of asking someone to "just be happy and smile" rather than make sure they express their emotions and make sure they are doing ok themselves. I remember sobbing with Riley at the end of the movie because of how much i could relate to her. I also loved how most of the people who cried at the movie had/do deal with depression while most people who didn't cry haven't dealt with depression. That was a fascinating find to me!
It also made light of adulterous fantasies. The movie is evil. Making something colorful, animated, and entertaining doesn’t negate the evil message baked in.
I've been saying Wall-E is actually the best Pixar movie. A lot of people disagree but the movie literally nails every aspect and makes the audience feel a bunch of different feelings. It's funny with some sad plots and is romantic. Wall-E is easily the best Pixar movie to date
@@leumleum7714 It had two big problem 1. Cast time(Some character don't even lasted 5 minutes and it seemed like it made no sense) 2. The name of movies not making any sense. It should be Eve and Wall E Journey.
Hated that movie as kid and still havent watched it again yet. People praising In makes me wanna check it again from Disney+ to see if i still dislike it
@@notobi-wan8344 I think it’s really good. It probably seemed bad as a kid because it was kinda slow. You should check it out again, and see if you like it
@@DficienC I would have to disagree. Incredibles has a lot of things which you can enjoy as a child and when you get older the more you see all of the themes. It deals with family problems, distrust in marriage, etc.
YES!!! It was one of the first DVD's my son would ask for me to replay! The "Tough to be a Bug" show in Animal Kingdom is so great because it is all about the Bug's Life characters ... except the spiders part, not a fan of that! lol ... I actually watched Bug's Life the other night while making dinner, haha.
Hell i say that the original cars is both underrated and overrated because there is really good things in this film and has probably the most humanized characters in all of pixar like doc hudson, i always hate how it's either low or in the middle like how the same thing people do to a bugs life, both films are just as good as any of the pixar masterpieces in the 2000's and deserve more love and less hate, especially cars
I actually thought that was one of the worst parts. "We don't have any more ideas how to make jokes, so let's just give the baby a bucket of superpowers, which doesn't make sense and doesn't progress the plot, and have some comic relief moments". It was very disappointing to see such lazy writing from Pixar.
I liked Jack Jack's role in Incredibles 2, but I still wonder what kind of hero he'll be like when he gets older. I was thinking about The Incredibles getting a TV continuation for Disney+ that takes place 10 years later.
@@disneyvillainsfan1666 that will definitively be a question. Then again, your idea would also expose us to other interesting stuff as well. -What happens when a superhero gets old? (in 10 years Bob would most likely be 50 or so, and Helen and Frozone kinda similar) -How do superheroes deal with adolescence, and the transition to adulthood? -How do superheroes deal with stuff like sentimental relationships in a secret identity (keep in mind, Violet is both her real and her superhero name, and Dash pretty much the same)?
Same. I cried so hard over Coco...I loved it so much. It's number 2 on my list...Toy Story 3 just tops it as the final 5 minutes makes me a mess. Every single time...
Inside out was the first animated movie I saw in theaters that made me visibly Cry! That ending can be so relatable to teens who are struggling and it’s such a fantastic movie to analyze!
As someone who primarily grew up with the cars franchise, I have a lot of nostalgia for it. I nowadays can see that all 3 are definitely flawed but still think 1 and 3 don't deserve this much hate, both of them have pretty strong messages and are still a blast to watch!
Wall-E is very pretty and sadness the character Wall-E he is very cute, funny and cool, the characters are cool and funny, the adventures are amazing and cool and the villain he is very scary and cool
I classify Pixar's movies into 5 categories: A+: (Toy Story, Monsters Inc, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille, Wall E, Toy Story 3, Inside Out, Coco, Soul) A: (Toy Story 2, The Incredibles, Up (the first sequence: A+), Toy Story 4) B: (A Bug's Life, Cars, Brave, Onward, Luca) C: (Monsters University, The Good Dinosaur, Finding Dory, The Incredibles 2 , Cars 3) D: (Cars 2)
Toy story 2 will probably always be my favorite. It's just such a good time everytime I watch it. It has the best intro and most enjoyable adventure in my opinion.
I truly love Toy Story 2 too. As a kid, Jessie story was so sad to me and I wouldn't never guessed Stinky Pete would be the villian. Buzz Lightyear speaking spanish was so hilarious!!😅
Fun fact: The voice actor who played stinky pete is also sideshow bob from the simpsons and a little easter egg they placed is when the toys use a cameras flash photo from cameras at the airport as a blinding weapon on stinky pete like in the episode of the simpsons "Itchy and Scratchy land " against robots that explode when a camera flashes at their faces
Ditto! I’d tie Coco and Ratatouille at first place, because I can’t decide which I like more, Brave would be in second place with The Incredibles in third.
I like the moment in Toy Story when Woody he always say You are a Toy !!!! That is the funniest and iconic phrase moment ever and this phrase became a funniest and cool meme in all the time 😎👍🏻👍🏻😂😂😂😂😂
That Toy Story 3 ending will always make me tear up on repeat viewings but that moment in Inside Out where she makes it back to the other side and Bing Bong is slowly forgotten was almost as sad as Toy Story 3 ending. The ending was touching but him being slowly forgotten made me kinda feel for him. Imagine being forgotten in that sense where you are no longer familiar to someone. I'm sure people who have dealt with people with Alzheimer's know exactly what Bing Bong felt like
4:48 19 Finding dory ( it should be higher on list ) 8:44 15 Cars 12:50 11 Soul 13:45 10 Coco 14:52 9 Inside out 16:02 8 Ratatoulie 17:11 7 Monsters Inc 18:00 6 Toy story 3 19:10 5 Incredibles 22:04 2 Wall E ( obviously its in top 3 , its a one of a kind movie, one of the best ) 23:30 1 Toy Story
@@PussInBootsTheLastWishFan2003 Riley's character is relatable, I experienced the same situation when I'm in the same age as her, moving in to a new place is very hard
Up is the saddest and prettiest movie ever in all the time the story is very sad and cool, the adventures are awesome and cool and the characters are funny and hilarious
If you like this movie then you will probably love a game called "OMORI". It took over 6 years to make and that shows. No game ever had me feel so many emotions before. It has everything from fun and charming characters, genuinely scary moments, unique visuals and music to an emotional impact you will never forget. It is the only game I would ever call as good as a Pixar movie. I recommend EVERYONE to give it a try.
To be honest unlike everyone else who saw Up, I didn’t cry when Ellie died. Only when Carl remembered her. Up is my dad’s favorite Pixar movie even Ratatouille.
My Ranking would be.. 1. Finding Nemo 2. Monsters, Inc. 3. Ratatouille 4. The Incredibles 5. Inside Out 6. Toy Story 7. WALL - E 8. Toy Story 3 9. Up 10. Toy Story 2 11. Incredibles 2 12. Soul 13. Onward 14. A Bug’s Life 15. Toy Story 4 16. Coco 17. Monsters University 18. Finding Dory 19. Cars 20. The Good Dinosaur 21. Cars 3 22. Brave 23. Cars 2
I conquer. I watched Cars so much back in the day, and I really feel like I should revisit it. It's definitely the best of the trilogy. Meanwhile, Toy Story 2 will forever remain not only my favorite Pixar movie, but favorite animated movie.
Finding Nemo is my all time favorite animated movie! I love everything about it! Also, A Bug's Life has got to be one of the most underrated movies of all time!
Toy Story series is my favourite. Although watched the 1st film as an adult, I could sense the passing of time around me through the film, the importance of friends and finally realization that I am no longer a child. Up is surprisingly one of the most memorable. Again, passing of time and true love.
Wall-E is the greatest animated movie of all time. It’s beautifully stunning. The score is masterful. All through visual and emotion, because there was barely any dialogue alone. This movie will be TIMELESS.
Excellent ranking! I didn’t expect a lot of the placements. The moment Woody and Buzz fly in Toy Story’s climax is such a magic moment. Whenever Sully says “Kitty has to go”, that always gets me. Here’s my ranking. 1. The Incredibles 2. Toy Story 3. Finding Nemo 4. Wall-E 5. Inside Out 6. Toy Story 3 7. Up 8. Toy Story 2 9. Ratatouille 10. Coco 11. Soul 12. Toy Story 4 13. Monsters Inc. 14. The Incredibles 2 15. A Bug’s Life 16. Cars 17. Onward 18. Finding Dory 19. Cars 3 20. Monsters University 21. Brave 22. The Good Dinosaur 23. Cars 2
Honestly, Brave is criminally underrated. It has gorgeous visuals, a pretty good storyline, a timely message and great songs. I don't get why so many regard it as the worst Pixar movie
I think thats because it seems more a dreamworks film that a pixar film the first time i watched i thought that was a dreamworks film and dont fit pixar genre, but my opinion personally that its the most underrated pixar film ties with cars
I don't really agree with the top 5, so Imma just share my own🥰 5. Soul (it touches mah soul) 4. Monster Inc. (miKE wAzOUsKi!!) 3. Ratatouille (weird idea, but LOVE IT😩🤙) 2. Wall-E (a cinematic masterpiece) 1. Up (it's just *perfect* ✨) Special Mention: - The Incredibles ( *ICONIC* 💅✨ , 100% rewatchable) - Coco (I almost cried at "remember me" scene😔) - Toy Story 4 (I don't like the story but the visuals are just *chefs kiss* 💋✨) - Luca (my top comfort movie😌)
Up is by far my favorite Pixar movie, also I'm probably one of the only people who actually liked Cars 2. Also may I recommend for ye to do a ranking of all DreamWorks Animation movies?
Good reason but DreamWorks has a lot of movies, Disney has 58 films and DreamWorks has 40 so, that’s gonna be hard cause there’s 4 movies that has a franchise. Alduin Unslaad, how would you rank all 40 movies of DreamWorks?
I still think that Coco, Soul, Inside Out, Incredibles 2, Incredibles, Finding Dory, Toy Story 4, Toy Story 3, Toy Story 2 and Ratatouille deserve to be higher
Just watched Soul and OH . . . MY. . . . GOODNESS, is it amazing, ESPECIALLY the score. Other Pixar movies have dealt primarily with heavy issues (Up, Inside Out, Coco), but something about how Soul handles it goes beyond that. A must-watch and easily in my top 5 Pixar flicks.
Why nobody likes Cars 2 and Cars 3, for me Cars 2 is the most catchy film in the world. Especially the London fight. And for Cars 3, Thunder Hollow scene is beatiful. Why no one likes them :/
I think I’m the only one that has Ratatouille at the top of the list. I appreciate that it never goes for tears, and still manages to reach so many emotions. Perfect equilibrium.
thats true. It is also my all time no.1! Finding nemo a very close 2nd! Ratatouille is just the greatest Pixar movie ever! And not just one word could describe how beautiful the movie is.
number one for me as well because i was about to become a chef back then. its such a beautiful movie and heart touching movie and the way they presented the kitchen staff is just so realistic, as this is how they actually are in real life. the craziest people i ever came across haha.
Yeah, it's my favorite in the franchise, and I can relate to the theme of "getting to decide when you're done", and I find it better than Brave and The Good Dinosaur (the latter is my least favorite Pixar movie.)
@@Fictionboy16 Agreed. IMO it’s better than both of the Cars films, The Good Dinosaur, Monsters Uni and Brave by a long shot, even if it is a lower tier Pixar film.
@@Fictionboy16 I think the theme was supposed to be “passing of the torch” but whatever, I agree it was pretty good. Doesn’t matter as Mojo shit on all the sequels and followed every bandwagon there is
@LIGHTS good dinosaur was better than at least Brave. At least it had really good cinematography while Brave looked like shit and had a pretty shit story
For anyone wondering where Planes was in the video (like me), this movie wasn’t actually made by Pixar so it doesn’t count as a Pixar film. Even though it’s still in the same universe as Cars.
You’re absolutely right. I thought Planes was Pixar at first. It’s not. It’s Disney. Kinda the same way people think Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is Disney. It’s not either. It fools people because Dick Van Dyke is in it (and he was in Mary Poppins), and the score was done by Disney’s Sherman Brothers.
23: Cars 2 (Only bad one) 22: Brave 21: Good Dinosaur 20: A Bug's Life 19: Cars 3 18: Monsters University 17: Finding Dory 16: Onward 15: Toy Story 4 14: Coco 13: Incredibles 2 12: Cars 11: Up 10: Toy Story 2 9: Soul 8: Inside Out 7: Wall E 6: Ratatouille 5: Toy Story 3 4: Finding Nemo 3: Monsters Inc 2: The Incredibles 1: Toy Story
@@Paustian95 No one is going to have the exact same list, I for one found Finding Dory an absolute snooze fest and would but that movie and the cars trilogy at the bottom. I would also put Onward a lot higher as it had a theme which felt personal to me. At the end of the day, this is just another Watchmojo list and people tend to have different opinions on these sort of subjects.
Please do one for *Blue Sky Studios,* next. Because, *”See a need, Fill a need!”* *1. Robots (2005)* 2. The Peanuts Movie 3. Ice Age (2002) 4. Epic (2013) 5. Horton Hears a Who (2008) 6. Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) 13: Ice Age: Collision Course (2016)
Pixar movies are so hard to rank because they’re JUST SO GOOD, but WALL-E is JUST TOO GOOD! I love the film and I have watched it SO MANY TIMES. I absolutely love the movie and I think it’s just so amazing. Coco is second and that’s great, so is just everything else! I wouldn’t be able to rank the rest
Pixar did the movie wrong. What do I mean? The protagonist is WRONG. It is easy to see with our modern eyes how yes, table manners and etiquette are over rated and self expression is important. HOWEVER it is not set in modern times and it is important to not cause a WAR that will destroy all 4 clans. The protagonist is whiny, annoying and refuses to see any other perspective let alone consider her mother as having anything valid to say. It is actually THE MOTHER that goes on the perspective altering journey the most, not the protagonist ... which from a story telling point makes no sense. If that is going to be the case then normally the protagonist knows something major or has a certain wisdom/understanding of the world the person they're convincing does not (e.g Pocahontas and John Smith) whereas Merida does not. She is literally a teenager having a hissy fit that through her selfishness almost dooms everyone. And her mother, while in bear form, still has to teach her what power she has within their society.
Everyone experiences these movies in their own way. So all our list will be different. In the end we have all come to love each movie in their own way. Im just happy I can enjoy more and more of them. Soul helped me in my worst time. Dealing with cancer i was so broken. It helped me enjoy the little things again.
Ratatouille is the coolest and delicious movie ever the story is very cool and interesting, the characters are cool and hilarious and the adventures are cool and interesting and is a masterpiece of Brad Bird
