Hey everyone, today we’re going to be ranking and explaining all 34 of the current killers in Dead by Daylight. This is as of patch 7.4.2. For this list I’m going to rank the killers worst to best aiming to have all the player base in mind. A list for everyone, I hope. These are just my thoughts of course; I am quite experienced, but I would equally say I’m a fairly average player. Thoughts will vary from person to person, and each year this list becomes increasingly harder to do as the characters become more refined and more are added. So, let me know your thoughts too, down below. Let’s get into it.

I don’t think no one else knows that playing as pyramid head, when you find the caged survivor and you hit the cage with your basic attack you send the survivor to another location because I did that before

I think freddie is weaker than clown since he loses his power completely once the last gen pops whereas clown can still use his bottles.

Personally I think the best killers have one of two things going for them. They are either highly mobile, or they have a side mini-game that must be accomplished.

@@xarao An outlier. Her kit is fit for chasing, intelligence gathering, and stalling without add-ons which I don't think any other killer has.

@@xarao i mean... when i'm playing survivor it feels like im playing a side minigame when im doing gens, because if im not paying attention and gettin of the gen in time when she uses her crows for info, it can be over. Against an Artist you can almost never stick to gens

man i wish i had survivors like that again XD Legion was my first killer to play and therefor main, didnt play much else until i got more confident as a killer overall. And then people started to rush gens and spread up and now i play Legion rarely.

And they always want you to heal them despite it being widely known you never heal against legion! Honestly I’m just waiting for someone to yell at me in endgame chat for not healing.

@@JustRhysky Agree with you there. The only time that healing is needed against legion is when they have tanatophobia, because you have a gen slowdown of 16% if everyone is either injured, downed or on hook. But then it is enough to heal one survivor, because then the slowdown is only 3% and easily counterable with Resistance (9% faster actions when injured) or deja vu (6% faster repairing on highlighted gens)

I love playing fast vaulting infinite tier 3 Michael. Best counter to looping and vaulting survivors. Bamboozle + Fired Up + Lightborn + Perk for fast pallet breaking + fragrant tuft of hair for inifinite tier 3 + green add-on for 25% faster power gain. No one can get away, if you don't make a mistake while chasing a survivor.

I am always surprised because no one ranks Ghost face very high! I think he’s one of the toughest killers to go against and I always struggle

@@BeefyZawgall killers have chase potential - some just have stronger chase potential. If he was a 4.4 killer I could maybe understand, but looping has always been easier on the killer side and he does fine. His biggest strength is his stealth and marking survivors at the right time, but most people either try to play him as a normal killer or just meme with him.

@@davidhokeyhoke476 True. Also most don't know, when to best finish marking a survivor and do it when they are still tio far away for a lunge attack. I always mark them 99% and then finish it, once I'm close enough to hit them. Since I do that I often win with Ghostface. I always get at least 2K (and that is against SWFs as well as SoloQ) and if the survivors make mistakes and I play right and use my power wisely, I can get 4K without really having problems. They don't even get to finish 5 gens before at least 3 are down to at least second hook or already sacrificed.

I think what makes ghostface and many other stealth killers good is that he sort of throws the game off balance because the game is built for survivors to hide but when the killer is hiding it becomes a lot harder

Wraith might feel very powerful if you’re inexperienced, however he really isn’t that good. You might see him by the time he gets to you and he takes a couple seconds uncloaking. He hardly relies on perks and the survivor‘s skill level.

@@averagegarbageenjoyer Wraith's power is meant for some stealth, yes - but the core effect of it has a part in anti loop. If you don't think Wraith's power can be used for anti loop, maybe *you* are the inexperienced one. All wraith needs is some practice to basically make almost all loops a very winnable 50/50. Edit: and I don't see how this justifies putting wraith below the pig, even if you are correct - pig is easily D or maybe low C tier

@@Centurion_05 Wraith… anti Loop? I mean the only thing he’s got is the speed burst after uncloaking and bodyblocking while cloaked. An experienced player would ignore the body blocking and would leave a loop if they decide to uncloaking and mindgame speed burst there

Skull merchant feels ranked criminally low on this list. She has a lot going for her with haste, undetectable, information on your scanner and passive damage states. She can also end chases very very quickly to claw trapped survivors with haste. Not sure how she landed that low. She's at minimum middle of the pack, imo

never liked SM since release, but I've been playing her relatively frequently since the rework and yeah, she's easily on the top 15, the passive haste you get just from using a drone in chase is absolutely crazy, just one survivor being detected and you get a 3% bonus for a good 10 seconds which increases with every survivor you're currently detecting, plus on-demand undetectable for 8 seconds (you can cover a lot of ground on that time) aaaand she can make survivors broken for up to 45 seconds and on top of all that, hinder them for 10% while in chase with her drones if anything she needs a nerf lmao

It's very nice to have another video from you again so soon. Overall, this is a decent list. Hopefully all of the killers listed on the 2024 roadmap will receive the right amount of attention/tweaks that they need and BHVR won't go overboard with random changes. Especially with Blight's add-ons and Sadako. She's had a rocky journey in DBD so far.

Sadako is going to get nerfed down a tier. No hope there. Blight can go either way. Billy I'm hoping for some solid buffs. Demogorgon, Doctor, Clown, and Pig getting some small buffs will be appreciated. Not sure why Huntress and Hag are getting a change as they're both really strong killers.

@@dineez627 because killers do not get balanced around how strong or weak they are , but the overall experience of playing as/against them , that means how fun they are , how unique their ability is , how buggy they are , if there is enough counterplay to them, how they interact with certain maps and so on... hag can be very frustrating for survivors to play against , while huntress is just too simple and boring, that is why they will be working on them

@@dineez627 I don't know , I would not be so surprised if the work they do on hag ends up nerfing her . About Huntress , I can give an example , that being Clown . He was in the same situation as huntress : his power could not be made more interesting by adding new add on effects , so they gave him the yellow bottles as well in an attempt to make him feel more fun and engaging. That it did not work , that's another story 🤣, but I think they have something similar planned for Huntress , maybe a new passive effect of some sort or anything that makes her more than just " the hatchet throwing bunny woman "

Cause then he is a killer vaulting faster than survivors (infinite tier 3 + Bamboozle (+ Fired Up), who is immune to being blinded (Lightborn) and can destroy pallets very quickly (there are 2 perks for fast pallet breaking), while being able to insta down any survivor. If that isn't S tier then neither nurse or blight are.

@@valeriebreidenstein8362 Lightborn is unarguably one of the worst perks in the game, getting infinite tier 3 takes forever, fire up only works when you're losing and brutal strength is pretty bad. That build is pretty bad. If you want to make him viable just use tombstone piece with the green %25 stalking add-on with corrupt + deadlock and two other perks of your choice. But even then he is like mid A tier at most

agreed, freddy used to be my main at one point and i never used the snares since they are clunky af and hardly do mutch. And experienced survivors just pre-drop pallets minimizing the dream pallets effect. With the WoO meta the dream pallets come in some more use again but really people start to memorize wich are real and which aren't. And his TP is just gone in endgame lol.

Clown lacks map mobility and map pressure. All he does is end chases quicker, like Trickster. That’s why they are so low. Freddy might take longer to down a survivor, but he still has map pressure and mobility which is more important than 5-10 seconds saved of a chase.

@@averagegarbageenjoyer freddy has no mobilty aside from his tp which relies on gen spawns and his cooldown while not thee worst is quits abit while clown has basically no cooldown aside reloading bottles and if freddy needs to hold down an area he's gonna struggle because his anti loops is not great so he cant get downs quick while clown does much better holding down an area plus i like to add having good chase potential is sometimes better then mobilty because while u can get around thee area quicker is it going to help in chase? No so having a good chase power is going to help when u need it plus even tho freddy has a tp whats he's going to do if thee gen is at shack or a t an l wall? Clown benefits from those loops much better so i agree clown has a worse mobility tool however that doesnt make him better because thee reason killers like blight succeds its not just cuz of his mobilty its also because his chase potential is nuts

@@melonplaiz5611 yeah i agree, clown is way better than freddy and a lot of other killers as well, he is really strong in a chase if played correctly, his map mobility could be worse, he at least has something to help him in that regard, in general, i've probably played against clown a few hundred times and in most cases he is way more oppressive than freddy, trapper, pig, billy, wraith, and perhaps even trickster

Seeing the last 2 killers being myers and clown is already an inaccurate tier list. Yes, myers is weak, but not last, especially with the tombstones, while clown is definitelly not very weak. A good clown can be a menace even againt very good survivors

It depends on your play level, and what you consider to be very good survivors. A clown with 2000 hours is great against survivors with 300 hours, and those survivors will probably be good depending on perspective.

Same and I always do the best funny enough because I have so many perks unlocked and I do have a handful of the license Killers as well and the newer ones all of them, however and that's his stealth, add on a speed perk you're g2g add on light orange just for the sheer fact that a lot of survivors think they can bully Michael because he's so quote unquote week but then when they realize you can't blame them and you're stabbing them well seems I catch them with the element of surprise realistically 90% of the time, of course has a insta kill add-ons however there's other things you can use like hex devour hope which basically is the same thing so you can just add something else, anyway you can be very creative if you know what you're doing and I have a very high win ratio to prove it and that having, pinhead, Chucky, alien , nemesis clown, Freddy and a couple others I can't think of the top of my head yet Micheal is the highest prestige out of all of them has the highest win ratio,dated yes,yet dated to those that dont know how to truly use his strengths among his weaknesses

Singularity is one of my 4 main killers (Rest are Wesker, Executioner and Nurse) and I can agree that he is not the strongest killer, although I really enjoy his gameplay (It feels a bit like chess if i do say soo myself). Executioner is just really fun to play and I love going for double range addon snipes and flicks. Wesker is just my fav RE character and in DBD he is very fun to play as (and against. For me at least). Nurse was my 1st killer ever played since i started playing dbd (may 2022) and i just never stopped playing her.

Also, just beacuse I have my "main killers", which I play more and I am generaly much better at playing them, does not mean I don't play other killers. How have you even ended up at that conclusion? Just one of the things I love about DVD, the mass range of different killers keeps this game entertaining. If you think you’ve done it all, go master a new killer :-) I recently started playing nurse and she is tricky, but so rewarding when you nail her.

I main Artist (and got into using Xeno, enjoying that a lot), and I can say, sniping with Artist is so satisfying to pull off. So much map pressure on survivors too when you do. I do want to point out, that the Dire Crow won't damage even in the damaging range, if there is an obstruction like a wall or solid object. It swarms instead. But I can agree she is pretty strong. And most Survivors don't face her too often so it adds to the impression. You do get experienced Survivors but even then she is quite strong there

Count one more. Funny enough she has the second lowest kill rate. Only 2 killers have their kill rates under 50%, she is one of them. I just stick with Xeno Queen, so i can hide in the tunnels if they bully me. (My build is only shadowborn on every killer so maybe thats why i struggle so hard)

@@monovision7588 lol that'd actually pretty cool, hiding in the tunnels. With dredge you now get revealed so you can get bullied. standing and looking at a corner usually works, it just isn't as effective because they will go to you and not do gens while with alien they wouldn't know what you were up to and rush gens

I mean, Skull Merchant currently has by far the highest kill rate in the game. I know kill rate isn't always indicative but we're talking like 5% higher than every other killer in the game. Not the 5th worst killer in the game by any means.

This should be Myers buff Tier 1 walks at 4.4 meters his lunge is longer than what it currently is if they want they can switch back to tier 1 from tier 2 anytime they want with out and negatives only if Michael has stalked to get to tier 2 though and stalk restores when a survivor heals or does gens or totems Tier 2: While stalking in tier 2 for long enough the survivors get paranoia effect giving off fake audio cues including fake terror radius, fake skill check notifications and other noise for the haha factor and they scream after this effect is gone while in chase Myers passively gain evil for tier 3 but also gets bloodlust a bit faster (this effect does not carry over to tier 3) and michaels lunge is a tad bit longer then the normal killer. Tier 3: Michael's lunge is significantly longer (30 or 25%) then the average killer Michael vaults window faster then he already does in his current version if a pallet is dropped on him in tier 3 it breaks and the stun is slightly shorter. That's my thoughts on a Myers buff I don't feal like getting into the addons but this is an my thoughts

It's kinda frustrating that every killer I think has a really interesting and fun power are generally considered to be on the weaker side of things. Myers, Wraith, Legion, Doctor, Pig, Ghostface, Dredge etc could all be so much more

Wraith is as boring as it gets. He can be a normal killer with no power, or move faster and quieter at the downside of not being able to hit anyone, there is nothing interesting about him.

Wraith definitely isn’t weak. He now consistently ranks in the top on kill rates. Myers also ranks pretty high there too despite all the “he’s bad” bs. Even Pig, who is often referred to as a bad killer, ranks consistently higher than most people believe; any killer who can execute a survivor without utilizing hooks and can apply major slowdown is going to perform well. Pig just has to work a little harder to get to a point where it snowballs, but the right perks combined with her stealth can help a lot. BTW I am a Dredge main and he is NOT weak. You dont even have to utilize lockers for chase/loops - the remnant is better for that - but for map traversal.

Otherwise the bing bong gives him away and they run a mile. But idk why you both zero'd in on that small portion of my point and ignored the rest. Don't even get me started on Pig. I think you're just low MMR. And all we have to "prove" winrates and pick rates are a user ran database where you can easily lie and forge results, plus it's a small portion of the playerbase that uses it.

@@Synthpopper if you can’t utilize Wraith’s speed boost upon uncloaking then the joke is on you. Yes, it can be countered via good loops and the like, but you can easily cancel out your uncloak just as easily and break/damage while cloaked. He is the very definition of low risk/high reward. And, yes, the database isn’t entirely accurate - of course, but it gives more accurate data than your anecdotal evidence.

As someone who has played trickster since his release, I've seen and played through his ups and downs. His ptb version was undeniably overpowered. His release version was less strong but still pretty powerful Since his sorta in-between nerfed state up until the latest changes, I thought he was...fine, not powerful but still with an average skill cieling and devastating with good aim and looping skills/mindgames. Allthough his main event was barely valuable. In his new state he feels confusing. I don't have much to add onto your ranking or critique points but I feel like his main event is much more valuable and can now be used more strategicaly to gun down survivors quick and sometimes even mutiple at once, given certain conditions. I'd say he feels more fun and rewarding to play with his recoil removed and fast main event charge His reload speed, allthough annoying isn't too bad. His Iridesent add-ons on the other hand has been changed into a terrible state with barely any value imo. The best add-ons are still Melodious murder wich boosts his reload speed so much, it's no problem especially with Iron maiden. And finally the waiting for you watch is his best add-onfor focusing on main event value since it has the potential for an infinite main event. That was my take on the Tricksters current state. Singularity is definitely misplaced. Even without Soma Family Photo (his strongest addon), he’s incredibly strong and can stomp entire teams. He deserves to at least be in like top 15, he’s stronger than pinhead too and probably the strongest m1 killer in the game

nope, all his power is in the survivors hands. Doesnt take much to locate the drones and keep destroying them with the easy accsessable EMP. The ONLY thing where he is opressive in high mmr is when he really hardlocks a 3-gen but that will be gone soon.

I have to disagree with you there, Singularity is Map Dependent, emps are still pretty good, and you have to tag them with slipstream and sometimes you can't when your on an indoor map or a map with lots of Line of sight blockers and plus he takes way more effort to play than pinhead so no I have can't agree with you on that

If you play chase (strongest and most common playstyle), then the second you see an emped pod you can just insta replace it. I main him and am top 50 and emps hardly if at all affect me. He’s incredibly strong at ending chases fast and slugging

I am a skull merchant main I wouldnt say she's very weak she's just complicated most people who pick her up tend to try to brute force her and look at her drones as an end point rather then a web. I've won a lot of matches with her and my biggest tip is simply treat your drones as a checkpoint or a spiders web when in chase it helps a lot.

Despite their difficulty, I love playing against killers like Xeno and Pinhead. Their powers are incredibly punishing if the survivors don’t interact with the countering. That makes them triple as painful in solo que, but with a duo or squad it can be a really good challenge for both sides.

Havent played in a few years (a bit after nem release) but when i started nurse was my 1st killer, after playing her a bit and feeling like i got her down i decided she was kinda boring, fun when you outplay but otherwise not it for me, next i played billy and loved him but ended up growing a special hatred for indoor maps, then demo oh boy top 3 in fun for me (my top 3 are who i think are fun and tend to play) next was trapper and imo he is super fun when you get good with him also top 3 then my main nem bro is so fucking fun to play. Love punching people, he feels big and powerful to play and im all for it.

I've been playing Singularity for a while and for me the spot seems justified. This killer feels very underwhelming when you have to play on indoor maps like Midwich or Lery's. But I wouldn't consider him average, his overclock mode shreds through pallets like they are nothing, and It allows you to catch up when survivors use perks like balanced landing and lythe

Hot take: Blight is not as good as spirit or artist his power doesn’t work half the time yes his add ons are extremely good but when rushing it’s super inconsistent what he can bonk on and what he slides on. I know he has this tech where he can slide depending on the camera but when doing it the power feels like a hassle to use.

I dont really think the doctor is weak, hes pretty balanced imo. His power is easy to learn and, if the doctor is good, he will even pre shock the survivor so they cant drop/vault the pallet. Plus his snowball into the midgame is really incredible, once you get one or two injures, its really easy to stop healing abilities/gen progression with your static shock. He gains incredible info. However, if he doesnt gain any info during the start and keeps in a chase with a survivor for a long time, he can get punished easily, but this can be avoided with the right perks.

Players so sleep on Freddy and for strange reasons dont use his teleport on cooldown. Combine his teleport with Mind Breaker, Eruption, Gearhead + Dress addon and watch result. Also snares are used directly in chases to slowdown and hit, NOT for setup how Hag or Trapper do. I also dont care survivors in dream or not since even if they not dream they see me only at 16 meter radius, this is very underrated, i often use teleport for reposition.

I always hate facing Myers because it's always an asshole that stalks the whole game till they get to tier 3, then they wreck you, and your team with that damn tombstone, and it feels like there is nothing you can do, bonus points in annoyance if they have an Ebony Memento Mori. Maybe if he had more going for him, players wouldn't feel the need to only play him one way.

Im gonna be honest i think blight if we are excluding top tier pros is acctually better then nurse, in a normal game against a nurse u can juke her and LOS her pretty well even a decently good nurse, but blight if he just uses bump logic eventually he's gonna catch up to u no matter what, with nurse u can kinda just use the hole map to play around her and blight's addon's are just nuts

Xeno is top 5.. ranged weapon, smaller body, Traverse map within seconds, 115 killer, smaller terror radius in crawler mode, bad hitbox, info while traversing insanely fast. It just feels unfair

No. He is definently strong but not top 5. His tail is fairly easy to dodge because of the small hitbox and 4.6 means nothing about strength. His tunnels are like demos but worse because you don’t choose where they go. Also turrets remove your ranged attack. His strengths are mobility, and some anti-loop.
