Maam, I had completed my graduation in Bsc Genetics and currently I am pursuing my pg in Msc Dietetics from indira Gandhi national open university. Can I apply for RD exam?
Hii I have two doubts . Will it be difficult to give RD exam with a pg diploma and not masters ? Or will we be ready for it with a pg diploma? Also ,Im planning to do diploma and then give RD exam . Should the 6 months internship be continuous after completion of pg diploma ? .Or can I work or study something ,then do a six months Internship and appear for the RD exam .
That is something I can't really answer. Firstly, check the pre requisites on the IDA site. See the RD syllabus. How easy or hard, depends on how much of it you've studied and your experience. For the RD internship, as far as I know it's a 6 mnth continuous internship at a multi-speciality hospital and that gives you limited time scope to work anywhere else
hellow maam, i have done my graduation in botany zoology and chemistry. and then i have done Msc in dietetics , with 6 months of internship in hospital , am i eligible for RD exam

Unless you've studied subjects like physiology, anatomy, clinical Nutrition, therapeutic nutrition and couple of other. It will be difficult. But you definitely can cross check your subjects in undergrad years and if it fits the requirements do a master's/pg in nutrition. Then apply to become a RD

I have done my b.sc in non medical( Physics , chemistry , maths were my subjects) I want to get admission in M.sc in nutrition and dietetics , but every renowned university or college prefer those students who have done b.sc through home science / nutrition dietetics/ bio -chemsitry. But LPU university is giving admission in m.sc dietetics programme to b.sc non medical students. Should i go for LPU university?
Hello, Firstly you definitely need a biology, physiology and chemistry base. To get into msc and yes, anyone with a background of those subjects will always be preferred. As for going in for LPU please do go through the latest Allied Healthcare bill.

You can get admission in private college with average score in 12th std. I would suggest you to go for food and nutrition or bsc in clinical dietetics rather that bsc in home science . I am in 2nd year student of bsc clinical dietetics from jaipur national university, and you can get admission to private colleges without entrance .

Pl tell me if there are any entrance exams for admission in bsc food nd nutrition coz i am a dropper nd my 12th % are also very average nd i can't afford private clg so..
Firstly, you need to either be a home science student or science student till 12th. Secondly, each college has a different protocol eg. You need to study till sybsc and then based on your performance and marks you can get into food-nutrition or some college have direct admission post 12th based on your marks
Hello mam. I am very much interested in nutrition and dietetics course but still I have a fear whether it would be correct choice for future when we look into jobs.....pls reply mam. What kind of jobs can we get and what would be the average salary of a registered dietitian in India when we work in hospitals or work with our own clinic.
Unfortunately, there is no one who can tell you if it's a correct choice for you or not. If you have the passion, and ability to work hard. Sky is the limit
