Great explanation! I've had my CPO certification for 8 years now, but my business is operating float therapy tanks where we don't deal with most of what was taught in the classes. We've had a pool at home for 2 years now though, using chlorine, and for this first time we had an issue with algae this past weekend. I had to brush up my knowledge on phosphates, and decided to finally buy a chlorine auto-doser instead of hand dosing like I had been doing, and I plan to start using an enzyme, clarifier, and phosphate reducer going forward to prevent this from happening again. Your video was very helpful! I plan to use Natural Chemistry's Pool Perfect + PhosFree since I have a smaller pool and don't want big jugs of 2 to 3 different products.
I run pool perfect in my commercial pools. It’s great. When you combine it with glass filter media you really capture and process the oils. In commercial pools oils are the biggest thing we deal with in the water.
Trying a purge dose of 600 next week. Do I just pour directly into the pool or go through the skimmer? I’m using liquid chlorine and am having trouble keeping my free chlorine up… I have 0.4 ppm free chlorine and 1.2 ppm combined chlorine. My fiberglass pool is 18,000 gallons. Do I need to superchlorinate? I bought the 10 percent liquid chlorine from pool store. Do I really need to put 10 times the combined chlorine amount? Seems like so much! Just want to ask your advise!! Thank you for your help! (I do have a UV cleaner, filter cartridges, just did a treatment of pr10000)
I have a bottle of Perfect Weekly left from previous homeowner, was thinking of adding to my weekly regiment. It states it will help reduce water evap? Have you had good results with these products helping with that?
As a new pool owner thank you so much for your videos and god bless Bob. Borates and liquid chlorine for the win plus some enzymes for the dogs thanks brother!
If you are a new pool owner and already figured out that liquid chlorine and borates are the building blocks of pool chemistry then you are off to an incredible start. Next get your phosphates down to zero. No need for enzymes once those steps complete
Hi David I been watching & subscribed for 3 years now since my salt water pool was installed, question for you about the POOL PERFECT , is this product like , what I've been using from BIOGUARD POOL COMPLETE ?? PS I'm also on the BIOGUARD OPTIMIZER
BioGuard Pool Complete is a enzyme, phosphate and clarifier works very effectively added weekly dosage based on pool size-NC and BioGuard intentionally do not say what their products are because they just want you to ask for said product and rely only on their brand it’s a marketing strategy that has worked on most people
Almost all of the pools on my route last season when testing responded well to the enzyme treatment. I would get a bottle and try it since it is only a $40 investment. You will see good results.
