We'll take a deep tour through the FM lands of synthesis. What are the different modes, how do they sound different and why.
Please note that I use some analogies here and there which might not be absolutely correct mathematically.

Fantabulous visual explanation with the graph thank you! I’m happy to know finally how to get tzfm patches happening in polygrid! Question, would you say it’s possible to achieve exponential through-zero modulation? Or TZPM?

Exponential through-zero is just a matter of how quickely the fx increases. Not sure what you mean by TZPM. Through zero phase modulation isn't a thing (If that's what you meant)

@@rumblechannel6343 phase on an oscillator can be reversed. For example on the Generate 3 oscillator by Joranalogue, which has a phase knob where zero is at 12 o-clock. You can therefore modulate phase through zero manually with hand, or You can even do it with external cv using a 4QM aka ring modulator. The Mindphaser Eurorack osc by hexinverter also has TZPM built in. I’m curious though, do you think technically there is no difference between phase mod and through zero phase mod?
