Hi Amanda. Thank you for this tutorial. I'm quite new to indoor plants and i must admit, recently I've been getting less joy and more stress from my plants. Mainly because I recently received two plants that both had very bad fungal infections. I've unfortunately had a real bad case of COVID and have been bed bound for the last two weeks. Because I've been too sick to even get out of bed, my husband thought he was doing the kind thing and opened the two infected plants and placed them with all my other plants before I'd seen them.😱 Now I'm terrified my out plants are all going to be infected too. I have asked my hubby to dispose of the infected plants and when I'm well enough, hopefully i will be able to treat any plants that might have become infected. Thank you for all your advice. 😊

I use PureCrop1 as a preventative. Works on root mealybugs at lower strength. Also, Doug Chamberlain uses this.

I’ve been dealing with root mealy bugs and it’s terrible! Nothing seems to kill them entirely

Root mealy is hard to deal with. I heard the most effective way to deal with it is to take the entire plant out, soak it in hot water that is hot enough to kill the mealy but not the roots.

This was SOOO helpful (& I thought I knew everything)! I had a spider mite explosion today on my alocasia. I wanted to throw it away!! I’m headed out to get miticide tmrw!! But good to know I’ve done everything right so far!

I recently found your channel and have been catching up on the videos and heard you mention using systemic pest control on your Hoyas and I have been wondering what you use on them. Do you usually use granules on them or the liquid systemic? Which granules do you usually use?

I tried both. They both work fine. I personally do like the liquid one more because it's easier. For granules, I use the brand "Bonnie"

hello, can you please give me the link to the film, where you talk about the two types of hoya Burtoniae. I remember the film, where you hold them side by side together, a nd the one is smaller and has darker lives. I tried to find that movie, but you have so many and I failed. (I love all of your hoya films, learning so much. thank you :) )

Hi! I would love to help but I don't remember talking about Hoya burtoniae... is it possible you are talking about another species?
