We got a brand new episode today that has been asked for a lot! The Tube Anemone is a great addition to any tank whether it is fish only or a grand reef tank. They are a non-photosynthetic coral so they do not require expensive lighting, but do require spot feeding or some form of live feeding. They do best in a deep sand bed, which will be shown in the video!
Thank you all for coming out, it means so much. Tell your friends and family about the channel! We are almost to 10K subscribers!!! It's crazy.

I have a tube anemone in my 28g cube and that little guy catches and eats whatever food I put in the tank, so you’re definitely right about that! :) they also pull food in so fast! Much faster than any other anemone or coral I have. Pretty fun to watch!

They are still one of my favorite things in a reef tank! One of my tanks crashed while I was on vacation and my bright pink one and purple one are struggling to stay alive. They were huge before now they are tiny. Great video

Always great content, but... Repeat after me: not all inverts are corals, corals and anemones are nidaria, yet they both are nit corals. Corals are corals, and anemone are anemone.

It's very common here in the Philippines. From neon green to darkish color.

Hey!! ive got one of these pink anemones in my reef tank, one of my fish have already died, also i have emerald crabs in the tank that like to pick at it. Is there any info on keeping these anems with crabs and inverts?? And also i have a sea cuke that will not stay off the glass, i have a powerhead near the sandbed could this be the cause for that my man? I dont think the anem is the cause of the sea cuke being on the glass as its been doing that for a longer period of time than when i got the anemone.

Do these catch your fish and eat them if they get in stinger range? Or will the eat a shrimp if it crawls on them
@BrockLeonard
@BrockLeonard 3 года назад
The fish or shrimp would have to run into the stingers to get eaten. They will not chase after things.

In a video you did about 3 years ago, you said you used Martel Quick Cure for 30mins. What do you use now that it’s sold out?

Hydroplex has been one we've used often.

Do clown fish host them ?
@OfficialBritta
@OfficialBritta 3 года назад
I don’t think anything - fish, shrimp or crabs - can host them. They have a very strong sting and a crazy feeding response. Most fish steer clear of them.

No their sting is too powerful against their skin
