I like the fact that Leon is colder towards Ada in the remakes. It makes more sense. She's practically a bio-terrorist, the very same people who are responsible for hundreds to millions of people dying. I hated how OG Leon basically let her get away with that and always defended her. The remake Leon feels like a more natural reaction towards a woman who manipulated you and aids terrorism.
@@condorX2 she's not. She's a mercenary whose missions revolve around retrieving artifacts for ppl. In RE4 she's hired by Wesker, who is a bioterrorist
@@alexyuri_94 I saw this post about Ada Wong the other day. "RE6 will always be my favorite arch for Ada, because she’s no longer tied down as a undercover spy, she fully commits to her humanitarian nature as a vigilante. She was being honest with Leon about the Family instead of trying to manipulate him into her game, she relies on him more as an ally than a ploy. And she uses her spy persona properly against Simmons and Carla, manipulating them instead. While still watching over Sherry, and saving civilians where she can. That was the real Ada that had been hiding deep under her facade the entire franchise. She even admitted to helping Carla take down Simmons had she not been so evil, proving the woman has a soft spot for most humans. She’s also the one who puts a complete end to the suffering, she witnessed the last C-Virus clone trying to break out, and she stops it literally for humanity’s sake. The world may burn a little, but it will never end under Ada’s watch. She’s honestly a more compelling hero than Chris or Leon because Ada had to overcome evil inside to become good." -TheRealAdaWong
The Remake feels like 2 professional working together and being platonic. While the OG feels like 2 Veteren Super spies who has alot of history and tension together. Both knows the other so well but wont say anything
@@kayenat10 Well they do have history together as the events took place in the past hence its history, 6 years to be exact. Furthermore they went through live and death together and had each others backs. That doesn't just go away.
I like the OGs VA for Ada a lot more. The new VA sounds off to me...like she is reading from a script. Its like there is no feeling, I can't pin point it buts its kind of wierd. I think its a different VA than the one used from the more modern RE2 remake from what I recall but I haven't went back to confirm. If memory serves me correct though the RE2 remakes voice sounded more like the OG RE4 ada voice and I like either of them much more than this new hollow sounding voice. Kind of kills the vibe.
I’m so upset they got rid of Ada’s more acrobatic moves, like the slow motion of her first encounter with Leon in the original RE 4 & when she swan dives below to the helicopter waiting for her.
@@adrnacad3434 Yeh. That's true. The live action make the game feel boring. I uninstall the game after beating El Gigante. My favorite tactics was John Wick style. Shot em in the leg then the head. I got the video up if interested 😁
Just to make sure Ashly more useful, they make sure the other is less useful. Look at hunninggan, in original she more useful. Ada, I prefer the original (both model, voice, & act). She more active, mysterious & care about Leon at same time. But on remake, they talk too much. Just imagine if re6 remake is made. Do you think you can understand if Leon can jump to save ada on that?
@@jerrybarcelona8878they’re completely changing the story between Ada and Leon. Remake Leon is pissed at Ada for playing him and stealing a world threatening bio weapon in RE2. He no longer feels the same sort of affection for Ada like in the original. He’s still haunted by his failure in Raccoon city and Ada literally created the risk of another raccoon city like outbreak by stealing and selling the virus. There’s no “part of me I can’t get rid of” line either. Capcom isnt pushing the romance anymore. Remake Leon is completely neutral towards Ada. If they do Remake RE6, they’re not gonna create the same scenario.
Leon in the original: “Ada would never manipulate or use me because I love her and she’s perfect and in no way capable of such horrible things.” Leon in the remake: “The first time is free, asshole.”
only thing I don't like about the remake ada is the tone, if Sally Cahill (2005 Ada) were to say the exact same line that remake ada said, but in the 2005 ada voice, it'll be perfect. Ada always have that sexy, international femme fatale woman of mystery vibe to her, I think sally cahill is perfect
Remake Ada is so boring and irrelevant it might as well be another character in the game, the voice just make her even worse. They spent too much time improving Ashley and Luis I guess and made Ada worse.
yeah im agree yeah i dont like the remake but i can agree about she look little better but not her voice like in the original like u say her voice be better
Goddamn, it's like he really trying to kill her with that knife in the remake. Also I don't have any problem with her new voice, but the main issue in the remake is that she's almost not participate in the Leon's story this time. We meet her 2 or 3 times and that is all. We got more Luis screentime, but lack of Ada instead. Why not show us more interaction between both of these characters with Leon, Capcom... Where does this urge to cut things out all the time come from?
I think it has something to do with feminism. Looks like Capcom didn't want to draw attention from tbe feminists. That's why they changed Ada's voice and covered her up in her new attire as they might be accused of "objectifying" women.
Lol they changed the ‘following a ladies’ lead just isn’t my style’ line really quick cus u already know in today’s world people woulda gotten offended by it 😂
They removed the "women..." lines he says during the game too haha. They butchered Ada and the whole charm of the original in my opinion. Super sad. Her voice actress is so bland on the remake...
Great video, I'm a huge fan of Resident Evil 4! Speaking of which, I just finished the latest episode of my own RE4 series on mobile, where I took on Del Lago and El Gigante. It was intense! Keep up the great content!
Remake is good But don't know why it feels soulless compared the og one. I know remake has better graphics, gameplay and character development but still there is something missing. All the og characters are so memorable and unforgettable.
I honestly prefer the remake version, their relationship is connected from the previous events of RE2 remake. I also have no problem with Ada's voice and look, honestly too, I like her appearance on the remake. I'm sorry OG fans, maybe because didn't play the OG during my childhood days.
honestly same, I never had a problem with her in the remake at all, I liked her more in this game than I did in the 2 remake. She sounds and looks fine to me, OG fans just way too nostalgic, a slight change and they lose their minds lmfao.
I like the remake more aswell but I just wished Ada’s voice actress didn’t sound so soulless and honestly I blame capcom for thinking this was good enough to use in the final product
To be honest I have no problem with 2023 Ada voice in terms of her delivery, 2023 Leon and Ada I think is supposed to be more mature versions of Re2 Remake, which Leon nail it I think, Ada to an extent did too. Just it sound too different from 2019 Re2 remake, which made it feel like 2 very different character. The OG Re4 Ada still would be my standard femme fatale voice. Can't really compare 2005 Ada with 2023 Ada in terms of action. OG Re4 was a product of its time. I would say 2005 Ada is like Mission Impossible:2 with its slow-mo, stylish action. 2019-2023 Ada is like Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol - Fallout, more grounded, realistic action. Both good but different flavor.
well, Ada's voice in RE2 Remake is somehow more mysterious and to some extent cute, here she sounds too mature as for me and maybe not even fitting but I was surprised to know that voice actor is the same.
@@ABreyMan Don't think so. 2019 Ada was voiced by Jolene Anderson. 2023 Ada was voiced by Lily Gao, who also portrayed live action Ada in Welcome to Racoon City.
@@me24469 she sound so bad here, she sound like just reading lines without knowing how to deliver her them, idk how you think her voice is good in this remake. kinda remind me of ronda rousey when she voiced sonya blade in mk11 it was so bad.
I 100% agree with your comment, people gotta realize these are the REMAKE timeline versions of Ada and Leon, not the original. So comparing Ada’s voice and complaining about it is just cringe
People will hate for this but I will always prefer the original the characters are more memorable and enjoyable to watch the remake have better combat and animations but the characters are soulless they look angry all the time.
Original Ashley and Original Luis cannot compare to their remake version, what makes them great in the remake is the heart those 2 characters have. You gotta love Luis and Ashley after all you go through with them
I prefer the new design, but dislike how they made Ada more 'realistic' in her movements. The flashy nature of what she did sets her apart, she wasn't constricted to our rules, she played her own game. This Ada no longer feels as in control as she used to be, which takes something integral out of the interactions.
They gotta change up the styles, it’s a remake for a reason, stop complaining. Even in RE2R Ada didn’t sound over the top femme fatale but she still had smoothness and sexiness in her voice
She's a piece of garbage. She manipulated him in re2 and was partially responsible for getting thousands of people killed in a get rich quick attempt. His reaction is well done in the remake.
Final somebody with actual appreciation for both games and not just meat riding the original RE4, don’t get me wrong I am somebody that does prefer the og but I still like and appreciate the remake too. People complaining aren’t true re fans
that really funny to see in 12:17 where she fall that can hurt he leg to fall in those metal plate yeah ada look little more better in the remake but her voice is more better in the original
In the OG Leon just put the knife on her neck. In the Renake he straight up stabbed her haha. I guess this is their version of foreplay, since it's not like she did anything to him that makes him want to kill her on sight right? I mean, he even tried to talk sense into Krauser even though he fully intended to kill him
Sry but Ada in RE 4 original one will always be the best, her acrobatic moves, her charm, her "secretive" and badass confident personality, and cool design. Also the new Ada's voice is just not it, she also got less screentime
1:43 Leon has the Eye of Thundera, because it's not possible he knows everything about Ada working for Wesker, Damn Lucky that in the Remake capcom they will remove this joke, and as a Reward we had the presence of Albert Wesker in Flesh and Bone in the Separate Ways Remake.
I loved ashley and the merchant in the remake better than the og but I love everything about ada one hundred times more in the original, about leon well I love him in both, I do miss his lines in the og but in the remake he is more realistic to the situations, but to note I didn't hate ada's voice and look in the remake as much as the people did, I loved her but I think the og ada takes the cake
Lmao imagine complaining about Ada sounding more mature, her sounding more mature in the remake games is a good thing. I still like the femme fatale Ada voices but her sounding more like an actual person isn’t a bad thing
New Ada sounds like she's playing chubby bunny, like she gets tongue tied and words don't come out right. Also the delivery is pretty awkward, like that "interesting" it has no emotion, she just read the line with no consideration for the scene.
I would say because Ada’s voice is suppose to be seductive and mysterious because that is Ada after all. On the remake, I just don’t think it fits her tbh. I loved the remake but it lacked a lot of things I liked from the original.
Bc they don’t want you to have to keep monitoring it and babysitting another life bar. I agree with this change bc escorting is already an annoying gameplay mechanic to begin with
I Never Played the Remake and That's Why I Prefer the Classic For Nostalgia and Affective Issues And I Respect the Opinion of People Who Prefer the Remake
New looks better in graphics, but lacks soul in the voice acting and facial expression and feels less mystery like, which was in the huskiness and soft spoken original. I like that Ada's costume is easy to move in for the action, but I really preferred the old costume design. I do like that her face looks more natural, but prefer original Leon's face. Dialogue wise, I prefer the old, it had its subtle flirting, but was more mysterious and immersive in the tone, but now it's very openly flirtatious and flat (in the writing) and also don't like the overly clarity of everything and bright atmosphere that looks more like a new digital camera than natural or movie like as it was before. Maybe Ashley isn't as annoying as before, is what I prefer gameplay wise, but im with the old quirks and mannerism than the new. It's subjective, though.
