@@YJNori he meant like his physical age because of the hyperbolic time chamber, so legally he’s 51 because he was born 51 years ago, but he’s spent a total of 5 years in the hbtc so he’s physically 56
Its not according to the movie, you have to remember they were put in the same nursery room or whatever its called, then king sent broly away cuz he too strong and he lived there for rest of his life
Even though it was mostly just the kids, as the adults all got "alien" genetics that keep them in their physical prime for decades, but yeah, I mean, they did technically age
@@jamiealisson8298 He was dead for one year from sacrificing himself to kill Raditz and then he was dead for 7 years because he sacrificed himself by taking the Cell bomb to King Kai’s world. Also, Goku made that choice to stay dead for that long.
Goku's age is weird, he was born in two different years depending on canon, was dead multiple times and spent differing time in the hyperbolic time chamber also depending on canon. It's very confusing 😅
Age from crashing on earth - Death during Raditz Saga + Age from Saiyan Saga to when Cell exploded + Time period from Buu Saga to Super Hero arc -7 years of death + 1 year in Hyperbolic Team Chamber during Cell Saga = Goku's Real Age not physical age
@@smooth37 ngl, the term „physical age“ confuses me. Like, does it stand for the age of their bodies? Or does it stand for how many days/months/years have passed since the date of their birth? Arguments can be made for both
@@smooth37 but doesn’t that contradict what you said in your prior comment? You counted the time he spent while dead or in the HTC (sidenote, wouldn’t it be a lot more? Didn’t he go there some time in Super as well?), which would only contribute to his physical age, but at the end you said that that doesn’t contribute to his physical age. So in that sense, it should be the other way around
Although, they do start to rapidly age once they hit a certain age, due to Broly’s father’s aging from before and after in Super, it is likely around their 70s.
@Joshua grapples Nope that was during the filler of gokus ki being disrupted by kaioken right before his fight with hit. Goku is brutally honest it's true that Chichi may have an older face but her Milky Cannons are otherwordly.
@devans1603 yes..that would make more sense. I bet one of the kids "wish" can be used for that or a wish from the kids to bring back their grandparents or uncles ...lol
Goku was 18 at the conclusion of the OG Dragon Ball. DBZ picked up 5 years later, he was 23. Then the Saiyan's arrived a year later, Goku was 24 but physically 23 since he didn't age while dead. Freiza saga took place just a couple months later, so a year after that when Goku got back to earth and he was 25 chronologically. Then they trained for 3 years and he was 28 chronologically. Spent a year in hyperbolic time chamber and caught up physically with his chronological age. Dies. Spent 7 years in other world. Now chronologically 35, still physically 28. Super hero was confirmed to take place ten years after the Buu Saga, so he's now physically 38, Chronologically 45.
@@영환김-f9xExactly. I think if the shadow dragons happened in dragon ball super it would actually make sense because the z fighters (and especially BULMA) have been using the dragon balls for pretty dumb stuff
Krillin being short actually makes his character fit even better, why? Cus instead of being a martial artist it makes him look like that one supportive friend who's always calm
@@Casey.is.a.terrible. pretty sure in dbz somewhere they stated (I think after boo arc) that sayains age to about 30-40 years and do not age after that ?
@@flomaz836 actually, your right. at 22-25 they are fully grown young adults, they will keep aging and possibly growing to age 30 or even 33, after that they just age a little to look about 35, until they are 80
Nice to see them sticking to lore and Saiyans able to physically compete until their 80s, honestly it’s the same for human men, if kept in healthy shape most dudes keep their strength up until their 70s
yep, not at prime levels but to a decent extent. The thing is most people dont take care of themselves so by the time the reach 70 they are broken beyond repair. By being active and eating decently healthy you can be walking around till the day you die.
@@OrdinaryArgentinian Exactly! I'm tired of people saying they're getting old in their 50's when there are people in their 80's( even 90's) who r fit enough to run marathons!!
So out of all the full blooded Saiyans, Goku is still the youngest of them and didn’t really help that Vegeta constantly used the Hyperbolic time chamber to train, accelerating his age to be closer to his twilight years for a Saiyan. Old age is definitely not going to be kind to Vegeta when it finally hits.
@@SpiralSkylines "according to this video"? in the dbs broly movie both vegeta and broly are seen as babies which probably means they're around the same age
@@Zeno1781 I was referring when Super Buu went to Kami temple. Piccolo put the kids inside the chamber, created an hour glass to try getting some time.
@@drabhat8031 No Xeno is actually correct, they spent 12 hours in there which would equate to 6 months seeing as 24 hours would be a year. did dyslexia get the better of you? lol
He sacrificed his life so that Goku could be brought back from the dead, he did not give him his lifespan. Toriyama says this is not what happened. Goku will live to 80 and then die quickly, like all other true-blood Saiyans.
@@priestpng8464 what abt aftr they hit 80? That's when they start rapidly aging. As they make time progress in the series, it's gonna come to that point eventually
@@TechStarr you forgot that Goku and Broly were born on Planet Vegeta. Around the same time period. Remember that Goku's crying got on Broly's nerves when they were babies. They were right next to each other.
U got everything about right except for krillen and piccolo. Krillen is actually 52 if u go back to the original dragon ball arc when goku was a child krillen was almost a about a pre teen when goku was a child and piccolo is actually 53 as well remember nemekians are aged differently but piccolo was considered an elder compared to other nemekians on namek
Piccolo is an "elder" because he was born 350 years ago, his evil half just reincarnated so he became physically younger but mentally he's still that old.
According to Toriyama, when a Saiyan reaches around 80 years, they begin to age much more rapidly and die soon after. A Saiyan living to or beyond 90 is considered Ancient and an anomaly. The time that Goku, Vegeta and Gohan spent in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber has deprived them of a good chunk of their lifespan. Gohan may be able to mitigate some of this because he is only half-Saiyan.
@@dartoneyI mean considering dbs takes right after the buu saga and is going to end before we each the end of z I don’t think we will ever see goku or vegeta reach that age
@@JoseGonzalez-jd9sp No, Toriyama officially stated that Saiyan's lifespans are longer than humans, but not THAT longer. If the average human han reasonably expect to reach 100 if they take good care of themselves, Saiyans can hit around 120. The main difference is that Saiyans stay in the prime for far longer. When they hit 80, then they start to age quickly.
Honestly, a nice quasi retcon would be to take the interstellar route; say that because of the planet they were on and the strength of the gravity, Broly only aged about 25 years instead of 50. Works for his character (he acts college-aged) and even puts him right there with Gohan as the 2 berserker units.
Bulma has used the Dragon Balls to maker her look better more than once already… Damn if they keep it up she might look good all the way till the end! lol Goku, Gohan and Vegeta have saiyan blood making them age slower than humans. A really interesting question would be how old king Vegeta was 🤔 he seemed like he was a little bit older, like late 50s early 60s and since he was a saiyan that could make him in his early 60s?
So what? Bluma's mother is like 80 years old and she hasn't aged a bit since the early days of Dragon Ball with no Dragon Balls whatsoever , same goes for Dr Briefs.
Crazy enough, becoming shorter is a things that a lot of monks actually tend to go through over time from all of the over exertion on their bones over several years… so Krillin shrinking isn’t actually all to crazy
The amount of people who keep saying Broly and Goku was born on the same day when the Video is using Super Broly proves Dragon Ball fans don’t actually watch the source material.
