I was one of the ball boys that day. I remember Johnan biting fitzy that day lol after that game it took me 1 hr to get home to Island Bay lol usually it's only a 5min bus ride. Love those days!!!
In my view the 1994 test series between the ABs and Boks was the dullest ever between these 2 sides. Not much great rugby was played and few players stood out.
Yeah, pretty dour rugby and the All Blacks were poor that summer. Lost 2-0 to France at home. And France were nothing special. SA had only just come back into international rugby so at least they had an excuse.
Theo van Rensburg had a shocker...B grade fullback. Francois Pienaar was average at best. It's hard to think James Small was dropped for the next game.
