I thought I was the only one who never really had nearly as much appeal to the newer cars over the retro ones. I like every car in this roster for example but in NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 (I like to imagine that's basically a modernized rework of this game, modernized for 2010 that is) there were a few cars I just didn't like all that much, any racing game really, I just miss the retro car rosters man.

@Shadow Knight I agree. Or even better, if both got a remaster for the next gen consoles, came in a bundle, and both had noticeable graphical improvements to make both games look brand new and do nothing else except maybe add some new cars and what not. That'd be a dream come true

My uncle was a drummer in a little local rock band. We visited once and I played One Little Victory him and asked if he could play the intro... at the time I knew nothing about Rush and had no idea I was asking him to replicate the work of one of the greatest drummers ever to play lmao

In GTA online I made a 8 car garage based on these specific nfs cars 1. Porsche 911 turbo 2. SVT Mustang Cobra R 3. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 4. Dodge Viper GTS 5. Ferrari F50 6. Lamborghini Diablo 7. Lamborghini Murcielago 8. McLaren F1 These are the cars I always chose so that's why I made a garage based in these!! And yes I still have this NFS!!

Am I the only one who really misses the car rosters of these older racing games? For whatever reason, I find the newer cars in newer racing games not even close to as appealing as the retro cars that are in these older ones. I feel like that's part of what keeps me from liking any other racing games as much as this one and ones like it.

Not that hard if you racing on coastal parklands or national forest. I remember getting most of the task rewards with the clean races using the Opel Speedster on one of the tracks.

Me to , when I was 7 I played nfs hp2 pc version , but now , after 9 years , I see that the ps 2 version was way better( better atmosphere , better effects , way better ai , the races are actually hard , unlike the pc version when I was always in front of everyone with like 500 meters and way better progression).

My introduction to Hot Pursuit 2 was a PC port 3 years ago. Braindead cops and opponents, easy races. Thought this game was overrated and uninstalled. Tried running PS2 version on PCSX2 today and it's MILES better! Adrenaline fueled chases, AI racers are actually smart and the chopper is crazy in a good way. Despite being 20 years, Hot Pursuit 2 on PS2 holds up pretty well as a challenging arcade racer with cops

I like how they had the 360 spider as the base car and the 360 Challenge 13:52 as the NFS Version, they should have done more variants like that for special cars instead of some of the terrible paint jobs like 16:48, 15:22 :D

Dodge Viper NFS edition is one of the best looking car among of the rest of the nfs edition cars. But the Porsche 911 turbo is definitely the worst looking NFS edition car should of had a unique paint then looking like a zebra. LOL

Me and my cousin used to play this shit all the time on my PS2. I always picked a slower car than him cuz I was always better at racing games and I always played in manual with the extreme handling lol. He’d usually go for the Murcielago (which was my favorite car in the game) or the F50 and I’d usually pick the 911 or the Vanquish NFS edition cuz of the forest green paint. Wish I could relive those memories or atleast one day of my childhood.

That’s what made NFS Hot Pursuit 2 one of the best need for speeds. Running from the cops looks much cooler in a Ferrari f50, or Corvette than a riced out Civic.

The ps2 version of HP2 was developed by blackbox, and the other ports were by EA Seattle I believe. So blackbox had more time to polish the game, in every way. That’s why everyone loves the ps2 port so much.
