Hi Jane thank you for another great video as always can't see why they have changed the name to resort Blackpool was better happy that Mr funshine is still there though have a lovely day 😊
The change at The Pleasure Beach Resort needs to be more than about the branding. The £50 entrance fee needs to go and just tickets for whichever ride people wish to engage with. I agree that there needs to be maybe a £5 entrance fee for individuals or a family to prevent those without a positive attitude from entering and spoiling it for others. The income gap grows larger and there is a cost of living problem, the Pleasure Beach is a rare treat for many on minimum wage, the high earners have no problem with the present system. If the park has a lesser profit margin because wealthier people are beginning to afford holidays abroad again there will not be enough income to keep it bouyant. There is a long list of abandoned theme parks in this country and the North West needs this important part of a very special resort.
My issue with the Pleasure Beach was the price hikes after the pandemic. I know that it was cheaper to book online but good/seasonal weather isn't always bookable. Families want to go on the day and simply couldn't justify paying more for a family ticket than weekend accommodation.
@@visitfyldecoast I wonder if Amanda listened to the vloggers when they said they should stop people from taking in their own food and they should charge an entrance fee to stop the riff raff. A few years ago blackpool pleasure beach had loads of bad reviews about people vlogging and they said they wouldn't return but nothing was done about it.
I recon they should've named it resort sometime ago. The hotels have been there for years. Traditionally though to most folk it will always be BPB. Theres no pool on site though and the days of just being able to walk round the park have gone so you have to buy you youre way in. Mnd you Valhalla soaks you enough😂😂
Makes sense to me, we have always just referred to it as the Pleasure Beach. I would have assumed anyone, at least in North West, if you say Pleasure Beach they will know exactly what you are talking about.
Hi Jane, please ask your followers to look out for Andy missing in Eccles Manchester since Monday. His family all from Cleveleys and need all support to find him. Check out Manchester evening news for more details and his description or Manchester police site. Hoping he is found safe and well and back with his family soon. Thanks.
Hi, thanks for the video. Has the pleasure beach arcade closed down? I didn’t see the signage on your video and can’t find any info about it on the internet. I loved that arcade. So much less noisy than the others.
not been in since they started charging just to go in and walk round my wife's in a wheelchair so cant go on any rides and i wouldn't be going on any rides because she cant be left alone plus I'm to old for rides now. I am aware of the Essential Companion ticket but this has to be applied for 7 days before a visit and she would still have to pay full price and we tend to go unplanned when she is up to traveling and the weather is ok so booking in advance doesn't work for us?
The shops built under The Big One, on the promenade side, never really were very successful. I remember the Star Pub, on the corner of Clifton Drive, then as you walked along the prom from there, the Pleasure Beach sign over an illuminated waterfall. And the monorail atop. The shops were a non-starter, with the only successful tenant being Pizza Hut.
Like i sed before 2 manny places 2 stay they need concentrate on whats around them not building more and more holllday places ....As people in end will stop coming as its 2 much over populated
Blackpool pleasure beach is Blackpool. Pleasure beach could be anywhere. They really don't want visitors do they change of name and also charges to go in. Its a shame
Hi Jane thanks for the vlog. I think it's a big mistake to drop the word Blackpool in the logo as this place should be proud of being a theme park/resort in Blackpool, it's not just their heritage and connection but more than that it's their roots to Blackpool they are erasing, it's like maybe they feel that the word Blackpool isn't needed or important enough to be included in the branding. I think this is a marketing mistake and would like to know what was behind the thought process?
i love the name “Pleasure Beach Resort” because they do have so many attractions not just rides but also the pasaje, ripleys. they’ve also got the ice arena and multiple restaurants so calling it a Resort does work but yes it is sad they took Blackpool out the name because Blackpool is such an excellent town they should be proud! i love the Pleasure Beach it’s my favourite theme park in the country
What about all the streets off the sea front they don’t appear to be doing anything for the folks who live there, also far to many illegal migrants around .
