To control the low point of your swing will help you hit all clubs better and longer.
Let me help you get a effortless golfswing with speed and accuracy. A good release will help you to a better impact and longer drives and irons without slice and hook.
Long and straight is every ones goal but it takes time. Try to focus on one thing not everything when you practise. Impact, face control and swingpath will always be the most important part to drill.
If you use callaway, ping, titleist or taylor made clubs doesn’t matter you can learn to hit good golf shots. Your loft or your shaft on the club will not change but you can get better.
Find what inspires you. The pga tour, longdrivers or other good golfers can all help you find better golf shots. Watch what they do instead of listed to what they say. Listen mostly to your body and figure out what you need to do to produce the same results as the pros on TV.
Mike Malaska, Mike Austin, Mike Dunaway and Steve Pratt are some of my favorite golf instructors online. Find the tips that make your golf better. Decide what you want to hit. I teach a draw but many like a fade and nobody likes a hook or slice.
Your hips or your lag is not the key to golf. Your hands will decide the shot and you can do like Tiger Woods and trust your hands. Teach your hands to hit different shots. Hit big hooks and slices to understand what happens. Only straight is not gonna teach you anything.
Bryson Dechambeu and Kyle Birkshire can inspire you to hit it longer. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson can give you inspiration and motivation to test new things and new golf shots.
The Masters, Players Championship, The Players, The Open and US Open can make you love golf even more. See the best in the world solve all the problems we all need to master any golf course. Golf is a craft and you need fantasy, feel and skills to mast

A tennis forehand when the ball is very low is exactly your circle of speed drill. I am 70 my golf is good but your method looks easy on the body. Tried for 5 minutes.... Not easy but will try again tomorrow because my tennis forehand was good. Aussie living in Thailand

Yes Peter, if the ball is low. A normal forehand will turn the face over and produce a hook. Keep going. 👍

The concept of hitting down on the ball has screwed up my iron game a bit. I did hit the ball first but the club dug so much into the ground is eventually injured my right shoulder. In the future I will try to think "low point" instead or "hitting down". Thx Edblad.

I am really enjoying your videos and style of instruction. I believe I have been too focused on rotation and not arms/hands enough. Also, I laughed out loud at 9:57 "The driver doesn't like that, so it won't love you!". Great stuff!

@@GolfwithMarcusEdblad I am now 66 and when younger played on scratch and played in many representatives teams. Applying your method I am now hitting the ball better than ever. Nice little push draws. With the scores I’m shooting, I should be on low single figures by years end. What a joy to hit the ball properly. Thanks again.

I feel like I would enjoy listening to these videos even if I didn’t golf. Marcus could have a cooking or math channel and I’d be equally entertained.

Loving Marcus' videos, great content, easy to understand concepts, none of the old pga bullshit, first time I've considered my fade's to be a release issue rather than something wrong with my swing and clubface

I found a good practice method for iron low point. Hit shots off a baseball infield. Preferably hard baked by the sun! Once you get your low point forward it will be much easier on the grass!

I am really enjoying your videos please continue the good work. I have been using your drills for the past few weeks and the results are positive and good and I am hitting the ball cleaner than before. One question for you, when I intertwine my hands I do find it difficult to push the club for release however when I leave 10mm gap between both hands I am able push the release and hit a much better ball, is this a common problem and do you intertwine your hands? Thanks again.
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 10 месяцев назад
Glad you like the videos. It's much easier from the beginning to feel how your hands are moving with a gap between them. In a near future you will probably feel the same motion with your normal grip. Keep going because I will. 👍

I am really bad at low point control. I hit behind the ball very often with the irons and metal woods, and I hit down on the driver.
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 2 года назад
Start without hitting golfballs. It is easier to find the motion and don't forget that low point is timing.

Hi Marcus. Very interesting but very difficult for me to control de low point (in particular with long irons...). Is there a relationship between the release and the low point? For example if I release my club before the ball, the low point is apparently placed before the ball ... If we control the release can we control the low point? Is it a good approach or am I wrong? Thank you very much 😉

Hi Marcus this is what i get confused about. How do i release the club early, and the low point be in front of the ball? Thank in anticipation. Mike
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad
@GolfwithMarcusEdblad 10 месяцев назад
Don't be confused. I use my arm early with all clubs but only release my wrists early with driver. Watch this and you will understand: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MeDH_wAl59g.htmlsi=oJH3IbkO0JlV0wUS

I would say that. Driver a little bitfront of middle all others middle or slightly back of middle.
