Now including defeats and mid battalion outcomes with all battlefield 1 operation intros in the In They Shall Not Pass DLC Beyond the marne and Devils Anvil
13:46 is my Favorite line. The Emotion that comes off that line is fucking awesome. It legit gives you motivation to Push even harder. How we went from this absolute Masterpiece to BFV is beyond me.
16:56 is a quote from "Storm of Steel" by Ernst Juenger. "Now and then, by the light of a flare, I saw steel helmet by steel helmet, blade by glinting blade, and I was overcome by a feeling of invulnerability. We might be crushed, but surely we could not be conquered."
23:24 "The fortress is lost, Verdun is lost. Only the spirit of the republic can save France now... only hope can save the free world from destruction." that line made me kinda sad
10:45 "We have held our defences. Victory is ours! So rest men, for I am sure we will soon be marching toward paris witz tze great german eagle flying above us."
8:57 this speech reminds me of a book written by a german veteran of WWI i think he said something very similar in his book All Quiet on the Western Front
NightSoldier 81 8 months or 9 months and I played on the first operation beyond the Marne twice first attempt was a loss since super heavy tank was wasted by unskilled premium players and used a putilov garford instead of the saint chammond
Damn French theme is so lonely and a little sad, it’s like knowing you are going into a war that has no chance winning and you are prepared to die. But once you hear that winning music you feel like a true hero who defined his homeland against all odds
mangoman no one plays Verdun, Gallipoli, Brusilov Offensive and Red Tide and it gets boring as everyone always plays the same operations Kaiserchalct, Conquer Hell, Oil of Empires and Iron walls
Johnny Abbt They are actually. Right now it’s the Russian maps. Sometimes it take 10 or 15 mins to use the reset preferences, if you also make sure the slots are from 0-10. You should be able to find more than the base game modes
17:11 is my favorite, the voice actor has such a menacing and evil sounding German accent, and the music in the background makes it sound so evil and menacing.
21:09 Can someone correct me on this, but I’m almost certain this is not a correct translation. It sounds to me like he says “ironiquement, il pleut beaucoup d’eau” which literally means, “ironically, it’s raining a lot of water?” That’s nowhere near as complex as “it is a bitter irony that we can hear the heavy rain outside.” LMAO
It's because the writers here actually know how to translate French sentences into comprehensible English, instead of translating it word by word like an asthmatic fuckin sexbot.
The translation of these lines a bit wonky. In Fao Fortress intro, Ottoman commander says "So long as the oil keeps welling out in these lands, the peace here will be as far away as a mirage in desert", which they translated it as "So while oil continues flow there will be no peace" lmao
Getting Battlefield 1 has gotta be one the most influential decision I've made so far This game made me so fascinated with history, that I went to high school with with history profile, meet the best teacher I've known so far, and (unfortunately more or less) made my college education harder, since I switched to IT
If you really like WW1 and would like to delve a bit deeper into what caused the war and its beginning with a lot of military strategies, I would highly recommend the book "The Guns of August". Such an amazing work by historian Barbara Tuchman
Gláša Tv Austrians were the bad guys in this war,but Germans,Germans where the good guys in the bad side. They wanted to destroy British and liberate the world from their imperial tiranny. Respect to these man,and 10:15 is what should have happened.
@@glasatv899 My great grandpa was an Italian soldier during ww1. Its sad to think there is a possibility my great grandpa killed one of your parents. Sorry for the suffering, we just wanted Trieste.
Hey guys are these dlc's multiplayer? Or part of the campaign? I was planning to buy this game with the standard edition for just $6 while the premium for $20. Can anyone help me decide here?
@@coulochonou6376 Ohhh right, so it only applies to Verdun right? Let's completely forget about Paris 1940 and other French places where this was used after WWI, how Convenient for the Franchutes don't you think?
