Now including defeats and mid battalion outcomes with all battlefield 1 operation intros in the In The Name of the Tsar DLC Red Tide and Brusilov Offensive
Defenders of Wal-Mart! Our spies tell us that the TV displays will be the first target, so we must defend here. Should we lose this position, we must immediately fall back to the electrical isle and rally our forces at the microwaves. If we fail to hold this position, we will then be forced to make a last stand in the food isles. The success of our entire franchise depends on controlling this area. Lose this store and we will likely lose our jobs.
So much potential wasted. I still wonder why, if they want to put woman in the singleplayer, why not use real historical women from WW2 ( Susan Travers from the Foreign Legion, Violette Szabo a british SOE spy, Lyudmila Pavlichenko a famous russian sniper and all women from the 588th Night Bomber Regiment, also called the Night Witches) for example.
@@robbyg1232 well it wouldn't have been half as good as bf1, certainly can't imagine them giving any inspirational speeches for a wehmarcht victory lol
7:35 _“The 1916 brusilov offensive proved to be the worst crisis of World War One for Austria Hungary, and the triple entrants greatest victory, but it came at a tremendous loss of life on both sides, and without the promised support of Russia’s other armies, much of the territory gained by brusilov was lost to the Germans arriving from the west. _*_It is a sad irony that in the end, it was a political collapse in Russia, not a military defeat, that would decide the outcome of this regions war”_*
"As we approach the town, I am utterly dejected by the many crosses and graves we pass. They are Russian dead. Dead by our own hands. Is it fratricide that we do here?" That line in Red Army intro for Tsaritsyn hurts me internally.
Civil wars have to be the worst kind of war, countrymen, former friends, neighbours and families killing each other to make true their ideals, right or wrong, hoping to make a better nation, with no other motivation than love for their country...
" Soldiers, we have lost this battle... and i think... this war. We are on a verge of military and national catastrophe. May the Emperor save us... " - An Austro-Hungarian military commander after the Brusilov's breakthrough
@@AndrD1406 this really makes me think of the oversimplified video about the cold war "Not Lennon! LeNIN! What?! Why would I need a beetle?! You know what? I'll do it myself."
Both sides of the brusilov offensive knew the downfall of their empire was imminent, yet they charged into battle without hesitation, loyalty to the end, respect.
Kolomyia remains ours! By order of the Emperor and Supreme Commander Archduke Friedrich, I adress to you my felicitations and congratulations on your exemplary conduct! Now, prepare to defend once more...
"Soldiers...we have lost this battle...and I think this war. we are on the verge of a military and National catastrophe, may the emperor save us..." I like how well the voice actor depicted how sad the officer was
Could be a alt one Solders, you have fought well for 2 years but this battle and war is lost... The Russians are marching for Vienna.. god save the Hapsburg empire..
This took me ages to do, and i almost gave up but in the last hour of yesterday i got into 2 matches with teams that had 3 battalions left on the 2nd map brusilov keep which is near impossible lol.
My great grandfather fought with the Cossacks in 1914, against germany and he was in the Calvary Division...he was there for 2 years, then he joined as an infantry man and he stayed in there and 1 year later in 1917 he is a sergent of the white army, and he was fighting the Bolsheviks....by 1919 he was an Admiral and he fought along Kolckak side, after Kolchak was executed, he kept fighting them until 1922 when he was a General...then he was executed by a firing sqaud.
The risk of leaving the White Army or facing the Bolsheviks is one too great for a mere single man. Rest in peace to your Great Grandfather. My Great Grandfather was Colonel of the Persian Volunteer Cossack Calvary in 1910 until the end of his service. He fought the Ottoman and British forces of World War 1, and later survived against the Russian Supported Insurgents of the Kurdish Rebellion.
My great great grandpa served in the Austro-Hungarian cavalry as a Hungarian Hussar. He didn’t survive the war and was killed in action in 1916. My family still preserves his cavalry sabre to this day
I love this dlc and the fact that they added a less talked about war (the Russian civil war) into the game. And the red army guy on red tide’s voice is so badass
6:00 “Remember those lost at Tannenburg, at the Masurian Lakes, fight for their souls!” That line makes me want to pick up a rifle and fight the Austro-Hungarians for avenging my brothers!
As someone who’s family came form Bosnia this makes me want to grab a rifle and hold the line the to end in against the Russian horde, god save the empire!
The Bolsheviks doubled life expectancy, increased the literacy rate from 20% to 100%, abolished poverty and starvation saved Russia from being completely exterminated by the NAZIs, transforming a 3rd world backwater country into an industrial, economic and scientific superpower, rivalled only by the US, who had enslaved or allied with most other countries in the world and had a 150 year advantage over the USSR. The only parasite here are the Capitalists holding back humanity for their own wealth

There was this one time where i was playing on Galicia and it lasted a solid two hours. We managed to defend in all sectors to their final troops but they always managed to break through right at the last minute until we finally managed to stop them at the final sector. I dont think ill forget the amount of kills i racked up from all of them pilling up in the trenches.
14:00 "By the beginning of 1916, it was becoming increasingly clear that Russia could no longer sustain the losses from several failed operations, while maintaining loyalty to the autocratic and ever more dysfunctional monarchy of Tsar Nicholas II. If the Austro-Hungarians had managed to halt the first Brusilov advance, inflicting further wounds on Russia, it is likely that anger amongst the people at home would have ignited the revolution immediately, leading to the Bolsheviks pulling Russia out of the war before the winter set in, a huge blow to the Allied alliance."
Sommat Gateshiyo they’re all reasonable men, an evil eye would be the worst they’d do. Now the Red/White army leaders on the other hand, those guys would probably jump across the table to beat the snot out of each other
That depends on which side of political spectrum you are, and having an opinion poll in the comments to get the picture is a very bad idea) I as a left leaner would hate this, because this would mean that we would get a cruel military junta as a political system and a collapsing economy mostly sold for debts of the tsars goverment and white coalition to the foreign "investors". Not to mention that elimination of illitiracy, redistribution of land to peasants, idustrialisation, gigantic improvments in quality of life of all USSR and a first experiment of creating a direct democracy would never take place.
I am not Russian, but I have done a lot of research on the Russian civil war of 17-23. It is clear that the arrival of the Bolsheviks in power has clearly changed the country and brought about a total break with its past. Now, suppose the whites had won their campaign from the South, would they have won the war? I don't think so. If White lost it was for two main reasons: First, they did not form a homogeneous army. There were regiments in the south, led by Denikin and Wrangle, in the east, with Admiral Kolchak. There was a lack of communication between the generals and rather than launching a general attack from all sides, they were all conducting their own military campaign, giving the Bolsheviks time to organize themselves. Secondly, since they were supported by the large landowners, they did not have the support of the peasant class, whereas the country's economy was entirely based on agriculture. This further divided the enemy armies of the Bolsheviks. However, despite all this, what would have happened if the White Russians had won the war? I think that Tsar Nicholas II was already very unpopular in his country. Even some white Russian generals were fighting only to end the communist reign without wanting the Tsar to return. But in the absence of a strong man in power, I think that the modernization of Russia will have taken much longer, given that the country was already broken by the wars. But there was so much possible scenario. Perhaps another revolution would have shed light a few years later. Maybe the Liberals will have managed to get the country out of the crisis, which would have changed a lot. However, this is my personal opinion. Sorry for me English, I still have to improve

Tsarytsin was destroyed in constant battles between the Reds and the Whites. Later it was rebuilt and renamed to Stalingrad! Stalingrad was destroyed in battle between the Nazi and the Soviets. Later it was rebuilt and renamed to Volgograd.
Lol he says "Archduke Friedrick". He was Duke of Teschen a member of the House of Habsburg and the Supreme Commander of the Austro-Hungarian Army during World War I
I liked this mode because of how it revealed the whole historic side and context, I wish there was something like that for BFV or at least any other game that committed to do something like that
Awesome man !! That's a lot of work you put there, thanks !! Will you post the They Shall not Pass ones, i never heard the defeat dialogue of the German side in Beyond the Marne...
The same might come to the United States of America unless we the people reject the idea of socialism. Instead let us rejoice the values and beliefs that this country was founded on
I like how on the russian speeches there's always a russian soldier who clearly helds revolutionary thoughts firstly blaming the high command on the dire conditions in Galitzia and then praising Brusilov instead of the Tsar. It clearly it's a hint on the coming revolution and the discontent of the common soldier.
“We are victorious. The bolsheviks have shown that command through fear will never succeed. Every Russian man and woman will soon pledge loyalty to us again. Across all the world this victory will be saluted” ah what could have been

Hey could you please make a video with all pre-speaks in there origin languages? I love the voices of the offcer who "motivate" there troups in the first 10 secs after spawning, it would be really cool if you could upload them :)
I didn't mean the briefing (=when the officer say which points we have to attack/defend). I mean the motivation-speak that gets triggered in the frist 10 secs of the game. On other RU-vidchannels are a few of them, but i never found all in the origin languages.
5:13 I noticed the russian commander says comrades, could this be a hint at bolshevik tendencies among the Imperial Russian ranks? Or maybe it's just a common word in Russian idk
@@tekinet7958 not all in White armies fought for monarchy, especially after emperor and his family were executed, some fought for republic, some just against Bolsheviks
@@tekinet7958 holy shit what a ridiculously dumb claim, tsar was killed in 1918 and his surviving relatives fleed the country but the war lasted untill 1922, there was noone to return, the point of the war was whether Bolsheviks conquer the power or not. Don't teach me my country's history
Damn the attention to detail, you can literally distinguish the "reds" from "whites" not just from what they say and believe in but the words they use, not mention that they manage acknowledge how Russians spoke back then accurately (Russian language tends to change drastically throughout times, you can actually see hints of that with the reds) . If being honest I never seen anything like that at all being in games or movies. Usually western companies have a very reductionist viewpoint of Russian history and culture (not by intent in most cases) but DICE has really broke the mould with this DLC. That a multiplayer would pay attention would dedicate itself in portraying it's setting so much that they even focus on language is really commendable
This video may be 3 years old, but when I play the Russian Civil War maps and operation and I am out on the side of the Bolsheviks, I try to change sides as fast as possible
