There are many things James is king at: King Of T Shirt Collection King Of Tone Nailing King Of Learning By Ear King Of Rolling Stones Lessons I’m sure there’s more. Feel free to continue the list the reply box below.
Cheers from Livingston County. There's no darn strum pattern. What did he feel at the time. Throw in a triplet here and there. He surprises you when you listen carefully. A musical genius - and a great vocalist with his own style not only of voice but of vocal song. You get Keef. An artist, not a mechanic.
House of Guitars! Bought my very first electric guitar there way back in 1978! It was an old 68-67 Tele natural finish. I must have played that guitar 100 times until they finally buckled in. Let me have for a price that i could afford. It's been my Fav guitar ever since that day. This song just rocks. James you nailed it once again! Thanks so much for sharing your passion with us. Stay safe and healthy!!
Keith seemed to elevate his playing during the Mick T years. Both his solos and “power rhythm” as JJ calls it, were often more creative in that period. That’s always been their golden era to my ears. (Yeah, yeah, Brian’s early contributions were terrific too!)
Boy I just love the old stones like this one when Mick Taylor was writing all their songs and letting Keith play along in open-G so he felt like he was still part of the band and all.
Thank you JJ. God I love All Down the Line. I play it a lot -- even without a band. I bang on my bass drum and high hat -- with the open G I can make a lot of racket -- keeps the blood flowing. Luckily too there is great video of Keith working the rhythm. Great era I never tire of. Your description of Keith's playing is so spot on.
Now I’m at a certain level of guitar knowledge and playing after learning guitar over the last couple of years, it’s such a pleasure learning from your videos. The results come extremely quickly for me! Many thanks for posting these videos up!
James James Channel always supreme ~~~n dis un in Open G💥💥💥🚀⚡️!!! Thanks bunch all yo Open G n all da mo ya givn us all fantastic enjoyment n lessons ya givn us...
Nice job James, you nailed the idea that you can have all the chords want, but you have to listen. This song could be played at half-time, on acoustic, and be as rewarding
Hey love the HOG t-shirt I always go when I visit my grandparents in Rochester. I’m always hoping to be there when Geddy Lee is there, he’s an avid customer so they say.
Ever done a video on any Jimmie Vaughan or Thunderbirds tunes? I love his rhythm playing. It has a kind of wooden regularity to it, but it really rocks. “Look at that” is a great example.
James, which guitarist bends strings the most in their playing . You rock, one of my go crazy songs! Keith could move that fast once. Intuitive strumming, you got it .
Hi from Melbourne Australia James, love your work and thank you for your efforts "mature aged advanced beginner" here watching for years, 1st ever comment one anything anywhere! ...Q', would you be so kind as to advise how you get that "crunchy rock sound / tone ", I'm sure I hear delay in a lot of tracks.
