Some more infos/additions: - The anti-roll-control is standard with the Turbo / Turbo S - The gear shifting lever is right next to the steering wheel integrated vertically into the middle cockpit like in the 718 Spyder - There will also be 21” wheels - The estate version will be called “Cross Turismo” and be in a styling like the Audi A6 Allroad (example), so Cross Turismo instead of Sport Turismo like the wagon is called with the Panamera

I am a little surprised that starting with a clean sheet, the Taycan rear passenger compartment seems compromised. But maybe the Cross Turismo will offer a little more room in the rear. No idea why Porsche needed to make the door handles so unnecessarily fancy. Conventional door handles would have been better and more Porsche, in my opinion.

Hi Thomas! Your first look was so much better than what I've seen from everyone else, combined. I love that you always talk about having and animal skin free interior. Because of you, Thomas, I no longer use the word, leather, because it's animal skin, it used to be part of an animal, before it was slaughtered for someone's hamburger or for their steak.

@@autogefuehl Hello Thomas, quality review.. on other site i read the Porsche Taycan online configurator is available, i did try out and there is another cool color a lighter metallic blue that caught my eyes looks awesome in 2 tone interior (dark grey alcantara+blue Rex fabric).. The car is super crazy ! So Tank You & See you next time for another review.. ;0)

Ich kann das ganze Drama um den Namen Turbo für den Taycan ehrlich gesagt nicht verstehen: Jeder, der die faszinierende Historie von Porsche kennt, weiß, dass der Begriff Turbo stets für die Topmodelle eines jeweiligen Modells verwendet wird! Somit stellt Porsche einen Bezug zur "Vergangenheit" mit Verbrennungsmotor her - sehr gut gelungen. Genau wie der Taycan selbst, Kompliment! 😍👏🔝

Check your vision at a specialist, it looks very different and worse than the Mission-E concept. This just looks like a Panamera with 918 quad healights that got fatter.

the dashboard layout is stupid specially the bottom one for climate control, for me the tesla layout is the best, very minimalistic but also very user friendly and reduces the complications in the car design

I love dual infotainment screens. It would be great great for my co driver AKA wife to have her own infotainment screen and not mess with mine, I know I know first world issues. I cannot wait to see the massive price tag for the option. As always Thomas makes a great video.

That B pillar position and its thickness are arguable since front doors are short. Access and side visibility may be an issue. And door seals won’t last long.

Is it amazing to think how simple the two motors in the Taycan are compared to the flat six engines in the other Porsche’s? Sure there’s a battery and recovery systems but the fundamental mechanical power is so basic by comparison. Love to see you guys put a motor and an engine side by side to demonstrate the striking differences. Thanks for being awesome!!

@@wassupbro What do you make of Tesla "supercharger" then? It's in the same league of silliness. Yes they could name it differently however Porsche customers know that Turbo/GT/GTS /whatever trim levels. And they stick to it. Does it sound silly? Yes, does it really matter? No. it's a stunning looking car and Porsche does a very great job with it to really push Tesla and even win from Tesla on a few points.

This gives each intake cycle of the engine more oxygen, letting it burn more fuel and do more work, thus increasing power." So yes Tesla named it after something that also has a function in a ICE car..

I really like it, you can clearly see the design influences from the 911 and Panamera. For the interior we have something new which must have been refreshing for them as it shows the future design direction.
